It’s exactly a year since Fabian Delph was the first to climb aboard last season’s 10 yellow card Suspension Tightrope. For the last six games, the Villa midfielder had the chance to repeat that feat but, while he continued to press his claims for international recognition, including a goal (and own goal) in the win over West Brom in January, a defeated opponent from that Midlands derby has been steadily making his way up the charts to pip Delph at the post.

With a third booking of 2014 secured in stoppage time against Fulham at The Hawthorns on Saturday, Jonas Olsson became the first man to reach nine yellows this season and subsequently earn first place on the second tightrope of the season.

Replacing Olsson in the band on eight yellows, was Everton’s Gareth Barry, booked (eventually) for a series of fouls in the Saturday lunchtime defeat to Chelsea. The Toffees midfielder joins David Luiz, Marouane Chamakh, Wayne Rooney, Jon Walters and Claudio Yacob, who, along with the aforementioned Delph, made it through the weekend with his copybook unblotted.

This week’s Tightrope, which highlights those players with at least seven cautions accrued, now has 23 names. Four teams supply us with three players apiece – West Brom (Olsson, Yacob and Fabrice Mulumbu), Villa (Delph, Gabby Agbonlahor and Ciaran Clark, Chelsea (Luiz, Branislav Ivanovicand Ramires and Newcastle (Mathieu Debuchy, Moussa Sissoko and Cheick Tiote.

With no new suspensions from the weekend, we just need to tidy up the returning faces, as Craig Bellamy, Wes Brown and Andy Carroll are once again available for selection. While Bellamy and Carroll face up to fixtures at Spurs and Everton respectively, Brown is set for a Capital One Cup Final clash with City and, with an FA Cup fixture the following weekend, won’t be back for league duties until March 15, when the Black Cats welcome Palace to the Stadium of Light in Gameweek 20.

There is one BIG reason to keep Suarez.

GW35 - Norwich City vs Liverpool

Luis Suarez vs Norwich - 11 goals and 3 assists in his last 4 appearances.

    😀 😀 😀

I find it interesting how people confuse players who are popular with good FPL players. People will often pick players who look good but don't deliver points. The opposite is true with unfashionable players.

Take Demechellis for example. He is a fantastic FPL option after the blanks and I haven't seen him in any other teams. Plays for a top team, gets clean sheets, hoovers up bonus points and is relatively cheap. But I bet very few people pick him up after the blanks because he is unfashionable. Instead all focus will go to City defenders such as Kompany and Kolorov. Whilst I will be a happy Demechellis owner hoovering up all the points.

I agree about Distin (I did the same) but Demechellis (for example) has been hoovering up points but many won't look at him as they don't rate him as a player.

I don't give a feck what everyone is doing, I just try and pick who I think will get me the most points.

Personally, I wasn't convinced by City's defence, so I went for Kosc and Apzi at the back.

Koc over Mert in the 2nd half of the season was one of the best decisions I have made. Not doubling up with Chelsea at the back (one of the worst).

He hasn't really been hoovering up the points, and when Aguero gets back City will go on the attack again. At this point you will be left with Argentinian egg on your face.

          Key word is when.
Also the other 3 in the back line have scored higher, adding goals and assists. It's really hard to recommend him in my opinion.

But he is cheaper and City aren't scoring many at the moment. If City win 1-0, 2-0 you can almost guarantee at least 1 bonus point for him. Often 2 or 3.

            in two words
            its civil wrongs.

the things that arent illegal or breach of contract but need governing

for example a retailer has the right to ensure all consumers are protected from harm

the biggest part of it is negligence. and this was installed from dongohoue and stevenson 1932

and caparo dickman created the 3 point test to establish a duty of care

duty of care is to establish who has a legal resonsibility to care for someone i.e a retailer and a customer the consumer has the right to not find a snail in ones drink...

however if you walk down the street and you see someone hit by a car you are not legally obliged to help - you cant be sued for walking by
though morally you probs would help

that test founded the 3 basic parts of negligence. and how a duty of care is established or not...

    Repost:

I am one of many here who wanna go for Snodgrass for at least next 2 games, as we have limited options due to blanks.

But what really worries me is the whole Norwich attacking form. They have scored more than 1 goal only 3 times this season, and last time in the early December
They also haven't scored a single goal in 12 out of 27 league games.

On the other hand, their actual relegation fight is right now, due to the fixtures at the very end of this season, when they will face Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal in their last 4 fixtures :O

to Snod or not to Snod ?

I haven't the desire to sell Yaya despite him having 2 blanks as I'll only want him back, and it's likely to be for the person I sold him for in the first place. My only hope might be Yaya drops 0.1 or 0.2 and if Hull lose tonight, Nolan keeps rising and delivers the goods
