It’s exactly a year since Fabian Delph was the first to climb aboard last season’s 10 yellow card Suspension Tightrope. For the last six games, the Villa midfielder had the chance to repeat that feat but, while he continued to press his claims for international recognition, including a goal (and own goal) in the win over West Brom in January, a defeated opponent from that Midlands derby has been steadily making his way up the charts to pip Delph at the post.

With a third booking of 2014 secured in stoppage time against Fulham at The Hawthorns on Saturday, Jonas Olsson became the first man to reach nine yellows this season and subsequently earn first place on the second tightrope of the season.

Replacing Olsson in the band on eight yellows, was Everton’s Gareth Barry, booked (eventually) for a series of fouls in the Saturday lunchtime defeat to Chelsea. The Toffees midfielder joins David Luiz, Marouane Chamakh, Wayne Rooney, Jon Walters and Claudio Yacob, who, along with the aforementioned Delph, made it through the weekend with his copybook unblotted.

This week’s Tightrope, which highlights those players with at least seven cautions accrued, now has 23 names. Four teams supply us with three players apiece – West Brom (Olsson, Yacob and Fabrice Mulumbu), Villa (Delph, Gabby Agbonlahor and Ciaran Clark, Chelsea (Luiz, Branislav Ivanovicand Ramires and Newcastle (Mathieu Debuchy, Moussa Sissoko and Cheick Tiote.

With no new suspensions from the weekend, we just need to tidy up the returning faces, as Craig Bellamy, Wes Brown and Andy Carroll are once again available for selection. While Bellamy and Carroll face up to fixtures at Spurs and Everton respectively, Brown is set for a Capital One Cup Final clash with City and, with an FA Cup fixture the following weekend, won’t be back for league duties until March 15, when the Black Cats welcome Palace to the Stadium of Light in Gameweek 20.

My attitude at the moment is to just not worry about it. Most people will be in chaos. Just suck it up maybe take a hot or two for players you wouldn't mind having longer term anyways. Don't mess up your team just for one crazy week that most people wont get a good score in

Decided to compile a list of all my shocking transfers this season. Think of this as a 'name and shame' (although I'm shaming myself more than anyone).

    - Firstly my GW1 shockers. Started off with both Ramires and Kim Bo-Yeung in midfield. Dear god.

    - Gw6, got in Vidic. He proceeded to start 2 out of the four games, and kept clean sheets in neither of them.

    - Gw10, got in Sessegnon. He got a goal and an assist in his first two games but was then dropped from the team in GW13. Finally got rid two weeks later.

    - GW12, I got in McAuley. Possibly the worst transfer of my ff career. Fantastic run of fixtures but his six games for me yielded no clean sheets and a grand total of 8 points. (He started every game for me)

-Gw17. Decided, for whatever reason, to get Ireland. 3 points in 6 weeks says it all.

-Gw19, took a 3 week punt on Howard before the WC. Got no cs in the first and got sent off in the second. Whoopdy-f**king-doo.

-Gw26. Last but not least I decided to get in Reid this gw. 0 starts in 3 games wasn't what I was hoping for.

    .
    .
    .
    .
Anyway.......enough about me, who were YOUR worst picks so far this season?

If Hull get up today, how many players will you be fielding for Gameweek 29?

Potentially we will only see the following games is Hull grab the win:

    West Brom vs Man Utd
    Crystal Palace vs Southampton
    Norwich vs Stoke
    Cardiff vs Fulham
    Chelsea vs Tottenham

Looks like I will be able to field 11 players, but leaves me vacant for the DGW come GW31! Catch 22?

Ade's pending 2 pointer in GW29 is off-putting but at least it's comforting to see that Cardiff have conceded at least 2 in all but 2 fixtures since GW17 (vs Norwich only conceded 1 and the recent cleanie against Villa due to Marshall heroics).

        Captain it is.

I know it will lose me some points but there is no one I really want for GW29 that I don't already have and I can field 10/11 players in GW28 and GW29.

      Kolarov to Ivanovic - Yes
J Rod - Adebayor - only if you think Adebayor will score more points in next 2 weeks
Mata - Nolan - No as Mata plays GW29 and Nolan is likely to miss it.
