We bring you the draws for the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and FFS Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power, after the qualifying rounds for both competitions took place over Gameweek 27:

First of all, entrants with a score of 56 points or more have earned a spot in the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX. If you scored 55 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Our defending champion, Tdubb05, gets his title defence underway against stocherilac this weekend. Looking at some of the other previous winners, Jonty plays djt, MCH is up against Jambo 17, Donnellyc has cflanesra, Wild Rover goes head-to-head with Chobber Slops FC, whilst Gooner Dave has been drawn against JW.

Some of the plum ties amongst the community include Chu Young Ping Pong v Acquafresca, Bubbles against Yes the Sess! and Accounting on Chris v Attila the Bum.

Four of the current top 100 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are in the hat for this weekend’s matches. Gambiteer, Justoutsidethemoney and Forbes are amongst those high-fliers as is world number two Tom Fenley, whose opponent, Alistair, currently sits around the 23,000-mark.

If you’ve qualified or just fancy a nosey, click here to view the full First Round Draw.

Entrants with a score of 58 points or more will have made their way into the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup IV. If you scored 57 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Defending champion Acquafresca is up against Caladan Brood, whilst another former winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, goes head-to-head with The EJJ in Gameweek 28.

Amongst the notable community match ups, contributors Big Dunc and In Tommy We Trust face up to EpicFail and Chu Young Ping Pong respectively, whilst Dino’s clash with Bootsy and Thomass67 against Absinthe also catch the eye.

Once again, Tom Fenley is the manager to avoid in this cup. This time, he’s up against tmidrew who, with a rank inside the top 4,000, will fancy his chances of causing an upset. You can click here to view the First Round Draw.

For a list of the prizes and dates of each round, check out this initial article. As always, good luck to all those involved.

So I captained Messi and he scored 7 pts, so I got 14. Do I switch to Ronaldo and give back 7 points, or keep Messi as captain for the sure thing?

    Opinions please.

    Thanks.

Switch. One goal isn't great for a forward captained. Ronaldo can always explode

UCL game--have Lewandowski as captain--20 points (10 x 2), 2 goals; stay with Lewandowski as captain or make Ronaldo captain ahead of tomorrow's game at Schalke?

    thanks...

nah theres always something football orientated to chat about. whilst i am loving united's
decline, im also getting bored of the endles back page articles and forum convos about him.
he clearly hasnt done well enough, that dosnt look like changing.
if they dont sack him in the summer there mental.
going to start getting some pretty narky shareholders if there isnt a shake up.

do you think this would ever happen? would you want it too?

I think Wenger would be open to it happening.

      However,

He also understand that the fans/players don't want this at all, so it will never happen.

Also think RVP is too stubborn to do a U-turn!

dont you think if he signed for arsenal first game of the season

he plays tot away and scores he willl be instantly forgiven?

i think arsenal fans would love to see him back hes an excellent scorer they feel betrayed but having him back

would say more good about arsenal then bad

        afterall everyone makes mistakes.

Perhaps, but you're talking about Man U as if they're a full on casualty. As I see it their season is just a blip.

Bags of cash to sign players over the Summer, the football will come again and the little boy inside of RVP will be happy again.

jm wouldnt want him i dont think.
          poor defensive workrate.
as a gooner id be pretty annoyed if he returned.
          love watching him suffer.
this all makes me not very nice and the respect him and arsene have for each other is much more admirable.

I would prefer a move for a younger, proven striker. A long term contract for someone as injury prone as RVP at his age could prove most unwise. I also think that it's best to move on and not look back

Are all the DGW's expected to fall into GW31 eventually or are there some that probably won't? (Other than City & Everton's extras)?

Have the luxury of having my original WC left but am struggling to know when to use it!

None of the GW31 DGW's look that enticing so far and I already have 3 Pool & 2 Everton

Please say I haven't saved it this long just to stock up on Hull players?!

Keep. Don't have a low scoring mid you could bring him in for instead?

So am I correct in understanding there are still 6 games to be rescheduled?
Does anyone know what they are and if they might be in 31. I only remember the 2 called off for the weather
    Everton v palace (possible 31)
Man city v Sunderland (not possible)

It looks like I could bring in 11 players with DGW on WC and still have a strong team to take forward, especially if Everton get a second fixture which they are almost certain to

Yeah there's Sun'land WBrom, Arse Swans, Toon Eve and City Villa. Not sure how many of those will end up in a DGW though.

Agree this first DGW is the one to blow your WC on, there won't be a better (or more lucrative) chance to have a useful post-DGW team.

        Thanks
They will all end up in a DGW but not 31 for the ones involving city and Sunderland. Only one of the Everton fixtures as well

Everton's a possibility for 31 for sure. I suspect Newcastle and Arsenal games might end up mid-week fixtures. City are the ones to hang on to, Sunderland fixtures don't look worth it.

im off to bed but mata out?? have you seen gw 29 and 31?

      yaya should go 2 blanks

      and think about bringing in

ince or snoddy the extra money could mean bringing aguero back in.

Dzeko about to drop again. He needs to go, but still got my WC and value the -0.1m.

    so do I:

    a) get Ade, despite him apparently carrying an injury
    b) decide between Eto'o and Torres...
    c) get any ol' lamearse FWD
    d) wait til Chelsea & Spurs play their CL games

Quick, the drop is in 5 mins!

Is 0.1m too much to lose?

If you're certain, I'd go for C) and the likes of Long/Lambert.

0.1m too much, maybe. Patience tested this week, already 0.3m down. But no, the value of waiting a couple more days might be more.

I don't fancy Ade's fixtures this side of GW31 either...

            I resisted in the end.

Just don't come looking for me if he bags a brace vs Cardiff. Then again I'll know where to find you if he ends up wearing one 😀

I am trailing by 100 points. should I wildcard on GW 31 or should I hold for other DGW since the leader might wildcard as well?

Get as many out as you can next week and clear up the mess with WC afterwards loading up on DGW players. I don't think there will be a better time to use it. You will just have to try and catch them with good DGW picks, especially captain

No WC week 30, so many good teams with double fixtures that you can have a great standalone team out of them anyway with the doubles a bonus
Biggest advantage us WC holders have is being able to get in players for week 29 without having to worry about how we dump them afterwards

How many points are you laying down in 29 then? I'm looking at -8 to get 10 out, no goalie..

I only need 4 pts to get a full team. Next week will bring in RVP (c) and snodgrass for sturridge and silva. Generally worth the hit to get players in, understand why you might not bother with a GK as 4pts would be about break even

Exactly. Might be wrong but there's no obvious clean sheet there for anyone, or at least guessing it is a real punt.

Good luck with RVP (c) 😉
