We roll out our player picks for PlayON, the weekly Fantasy Football game, as always this Friday lunchtime. We’re on the lookout for potential bargains in our assessment of this week’s PlayON Price List as we look to navigate the fixture schedule, with just eight Premier League matches set to take place this weekend:

This week PlayON have two special offers: 1) A Facebook competition where you can £25 FREE CREDIT – enter here and 2) a FREE ENTRY, £250 POT game – enter on the multiplayer page on the site .

If you’re new to PlayON, it is weekly Fantasy Football so you can dip in and out of playing throughout the season. Once your starting XI is built you can compete for cash.

Similarly, you can challenge other players to one-on-one games, selecting the amount at stake. The likes of Robbie Fowler, Les Ferdinand and OptaJoe are all playing the game and are there to be challenged for free or for £1. The Fantasy Football Scout team is also available to be challenged and has a 52% win rate up to this point. You can also create an open challenge against anyone else on the site – just click the amount you want to play for and the number of slots (number of people who can accept your challenge) on the one-on-one page .

For a more in-depth introduction to PlayON, take a look at this season’s introduction article.

Goalkeeper – Michel Vorm
In a season blighted by injury, the Swansea keeper has still managed to impress in front of his own fans. Vorm has registered a clean sheet in each of his last four home appearances and could well be set to extend that record this weekend – visitors Crystal Palace have failed to score in their last three road trips. Priced at just 7.2m, the Swans number one looks great value this weekend. Hull’s Allan McGregor also remains in the budget bracket. Back after a three-game suspension last week, the Scot chalked up a clean sheet away to Cardiff – at 7.7m, he entertains a Newcastle side that have scored in two of their last nine league matches. Villa’s Brad Guzan is available for 8.3m ahead of a home clash with Norwich. Given that the Canaries have scored three times in the last seven, a shut-out for Paul Lambert’s side looks promising.

Defender – Seamus Coleman
Everton’s free-scoring right-back comes in at just 8.4m ahead of tomorrow’s home encounter with West Ham. Coleman has racked up the Fantasy points at Goodison Park – he’s found the net in three of his last five appearances on Merseyside and his raids down the flank are sure to pose Big Sam’s side plenty of problems. Liverpool’s fit-again Glen Johnson is a bargain-basement 7.4m for the trip to Southampton, whilst Newcastle’s Paul Dummett is priced at 8.2m for the visit to Hull. Handed corner kicks in the Magpies’ previous match, he’s expected to retain the left-back berth, with Davide Santon remaining on the sidelines due to a knee problem.

Midfielder – Pablo Hernandez
Available for 8.3m, the Swansea playmaker has proven his fitness after another spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Hernandez has returned in impressive form, too, with a trio of assists in as many matches, and may benefit from a central role once again as the Swans look to continue the attacking form which has produced seven goals in three matches under Garry Monk. Having shrugged off the thigh injury that kept him out of last week’s 4-1 win over Sunderland, Mesut Ozil is priced at 8.8m for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke, with the Gunners looking to build on that Black Cats hammering. Further down the price brackets, you can pick up Norwich’s Nathan Redmond for 8.3m – while Robert Snodgrass has garnered most of the attention ahead of the trip to Aston Villa, his fellow wide man could prove decisive for the Canaries.

Forward – Romelu Lukaku
Finally recovered from an ankle injury, the Everton frontman is priced at a mere 9.4m for the visit of West Ham. Lukaku has already posed his opponents problems this season – he notched the winner on his debut back in September and his physical presence up top is set to hand the Hammers’ in-form defence a stern test on Saturday. If you reckon Sam Allardyce’s side will breach the Toffees backline, Andy Carroll, at 9.8m, could be worth considering as a cheap forward. Back after a three-game suspension, he’s likely to take his place up top as the visitors attempt to chalk up a fifth successive win. Palace’s Glenn Murray was handed his first start of the season last weekend after recovering from a long-term knee injury – at 9.3m, he’ll be hoping to open his account at Swansea.

Hardly worth it. Get yourself a GK for GW29 and use the other transfer next week to put out 11 (Kosc to go). Carry FT into GW to give you 3 FT for the DGW

But you use two transfers for him with no gain except some useless coins. GK transfer would give you two extra games (one GK in GW29 plus Yaya DGW in GW31).

Been mulling it over for a few days now. I've got Silva and 2FT so I'm in the same boat. 95% decided on Snodgrass due to goal threat (number of shots in last few games), set pieces and Norwich fixtures including GW29 (STO H) and GW31 (SUN H).

playing a clever game with my squad and bank this gw. leaving 5.2mil in the bank and benching kolarov. basically i'm saying, "look aleks, i have faith in you, i'm keeping you under wraps for further down the line. BUT, don't take the piss and ease off in training, look how much money i have in the bank, i can literally afford another you to replace you."

Everyone has a plan so here's mine:

    GW28 team:
    Adrian
    Azpi, Sagna, Baines
    Lallana, Oscar, Sterling, Silva*
    Ade(c), Suarez, Benteke

2FT. Bench: Mannone, Chester, Ward, Mata

    *GW28: Silva to Snoddy
GW29: Sagna to Kolarov (GW30/31 prep)
GW30: Oscar to Nolan AND Benteke to Sturridge
    GW31: Ade to Aguero

    ...GW31
    ADRIAN
    CHESTER, KOLAROV, baines(good fixture)
    STERLING, MATA, NOLAN, snoddy(good fixture)
    SUAREZ, STURRIDGE, KUN

    bench: MANNONE, azpi, ward, lallana

Seems like pretty good balance for next few weeks and beyond. Only problem is money for those transfers. 0.1 down at the moment and with Nolan and Sturridge possibly rising I'm gonna need some drops and rises to be able to afford.

    Any thoughts/objections/alternatives?

So Paulinho was subbed v Norwich after 65 minutes because they were chasing a goal.

Paulinho didn't feature last night at all which would make him fresh for Sunday, however Eriksen played pretty well.

An chance of Paulinho losing out to Eriksen? Assuming Eriksen would play as the furthest forward in a CM trio, suppose he could play out wide though.

Indeed, against Cardiff is also a good opportunity for Spurs to go two up top and restore some Soldado confidence.

Maybe he'll go 4-4-2 with Bentaleb and Paulinho in the middle.

it could be. i reckon he hoped soldado would score last night, get the monkey off his back etc, and planned to then play him v cardiff. with him not scoring again though i think it's doubtful. he could view the offside goal as enough, as despite being offside soldado rammed it home, the most convincing finish for months for him

After a terrible, injury-ridden season, I'm currently hovering at around 123k.

With a WC in hand for GW30/31, how high do you think is possible for me to achieve this season?

He has been almost nailed on since GW13, with both Coutinho, Henderson, Allen and Lucas playing GWs 14-19. Granted, Gerrard was out GWs 16-19, but I think Sterling has shown enough to defend his place.

BR might replace him at times to gain a firmer grip of the midfield if Pool struggle to dominate centrally, but if they keep a good flow I can see them playing SSS in attack with Gerrard + 2 in midfield.

I agree. Think Lucas will play the odd game. Lucas had been playing previously as Sturridge was injured, and also before Sterling was a regular starter. Think Rodgers just goes on the attack every game, confident he'll outscore his opponents. Expect Lucas to maybe get the odd game, but it's not like he warrants being a regular starter when he has played, or that Liverpool's defence is massively better when he's been playing this season.

The other thing to consider is Coutinho's new role (gone unnoticed)..He.along with Gerrard has been withdrawn futher back and central. He's no great shakes in the tackle but what he does provide is more through balls than any other player in the league (Gerrard is second)..It's a definite game plan and a role far more suited to Coutinho than drifting around up front and getting in the way at times. Gerrard and Coutinho supply the perfect ammunition for those front players.

think lucas will be benched. the liverpool midfield is like a rash to the opposition right now, lucas is barely a pimple.
also think gerrard does pretty much an equal job to lucas defensively now, the worryingly large amount of goals against more to do with crazy individual errors by toure and skrtel and a lack of protection from sub-par players like flanagan and cissokho

When teams are on equal points, how does FPL split them in the overall rankings?

I'm booting Silva out of my team, already got 11 this week and 9 for GW29 already (although this includes Parker). In 2 minds whether to bring in Snodgrass or start buying for the DGW now. Narrowed it down to this lot.

    A) Mirallas (if Eve DGW confirmed today)
    B) Nolan
    C) Sterling
    D) Snodgrass

Risky, but could pay off the best option.

I think he has nearly the highest potential for points but he could easily get 2..

Anyone else find the Dnipro left back's (Strinic?) hopeful claim of offside, when Adebayor scored his 1st goal, amusing?

Haha I think he is too, but then I've been expecting that he might for the last couple weeks!

Fk knows why Sherwood got the hump with him in the first place. Before he was dropped he scored or assisted 7 in 6 games!

        He's starting, don't worry lads 🙂
