    Horrible feeling that Ivan could be my top scorer here with 6, but can't bring myself to captain him - just lacks ambition. It's gonna be Rooney I think - unless someone feels like giving me a heads up on a Cardiff/Fulham player who's worth a hit. Any ideas?

    My understanding is that the FA cup replys would be played on Monday 17th March. The issue occurs here with the following cup ties -

    Man City v Wigan
    Manchester U are playing the CL on Wednesday 19th so this would need to be rescheduled to the following week.

    DGW AFFECTED
    Man U v Man C

    Arsenal v Everton
    Arsenal play Spurs on Sunday 16th March so I dont think the FA would allow Arsenal to play another game the next day.

    DGWS AFFECTED
    Newcaslte v Everton
    Arsenal v Swansea

    Alternatively they could play on the night of a CL game but I know UEFA are against this and fined the FA £1m last year for doing so.

    The Sunderland v Hull replay could be played on the 17th without too much hassle.

    Clear as mud? Good 🙂

      The FA aren't bound to UEFAs preference at all. they can still play matches the same nights as champs league and take the fine I believe (or do what they did to Hull and play them on the Monday).

      Burger kid pointed out yesterday that Sheff Utd have been told the replay will be the Monday night if they draw.

      When they rescheduled the league games they didn't specify that they are subject to change, so I'm assuming they are set in stone now.

      Hull vs Man City in the league is 12.45 on Saturday, so the replay for either team could easily be on the monday night, as sunderland also play in the league at 3pm saturday.
      I'll stick my neck out and say 99% City will beat Wigan. So United City will go ahead.

      Arsenal Spurs is on Sunday 16th, as Spurs play Europa League on Thursday 13th. Any replay (Everton v Arsenal), imo, will go ahead on a CL night, and the FA will take the fine.

        I stated that with the Sunderland and Hull game and the Man C one was subject to a draw in the tie.

        They may take the hit or as Marknlard says below it may be exempt as it is the FA cup and not the PL.

        Also, the UEFA "rules" state that they shouldn´t be played on European nights unless in extreme cases. At least for City it seems that a replay, and potentially a subsequent win will add up to an extreme case, as they´d hardly be able to finish their 38 matches before the world cup, never mind by the end of the PL season otherwise.

      My opinion is field 10 this week, keep an extra transfer available to get in DGW players for DGW31... especially as I want to get in high priced Aguero who I cannot get without taking hits otherwise...

    This week I have 2ft and the obvious answer is to bring in MUFC cover for the simple reason they have five games in the next four GW. In addition I only have six starters for GW29

    So why haven't I done it already ?

    I want Aguero and it would mean taking a hit and taking out a DGW player to do that.

    Mufc fixtures include free scoring city and pool so from a clean sheet perspective not great.

    I've already got RVP and he's the only one I really want

    So the plan

    This GW use 2 FT

    Kos to Chambers ( doubling up on Southampton away to palace)
    Lallana to Mata

    This will give me 7 for 29
    GW 30 - Ade to Aguero
    GW 31 -burner to Flanagan

    Ending up with 10 DGW

    Boruc,
    Baines, Chester, Flanagan,
    Mirallas, Mata, Ox, Sterling
    Aguero, RVP, Suarez,

    Davis, Ward, Chambers, Gnabry

    It would also leave me additional 1mil to spend on a hit

    I have 2 FTs and 10 playing for the GW. I already took the decision to sell Mert. Now the question is who do I bring in for him:

    A) Terry/Ivanovic
    B) Coleman/Baines

    So the question is: is it better to buy a Chelsea defender for 2 weeks and then ditch him for a hit or start to prepare for the DGW?
