A trio of three o’clock showdowns continue Saturday’s proceedings before we drop in on Stamford Bridge for the evening encounter.

Palace host Southampton at Selhurst Park, with the likes of Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert hoping to spoil the hosts’ clean sheet. Norwich entertain Stoke at Carrow Road – Robert Snodgrass will carry the Canaries’ attacking threat as John Ruddy and his defence attempt to register a fifth successive shut-out in front of their own fans. Finally, the bottom two go head-to-head in Wales, as Cardiff and Fulham attempt to clamber out of the drop zone.

Those matches lead us up nicely to the concluding match of the Gameweek, where league leaders Chelsea entertain Spurs at the Bridge. Leader of this week’s Captain Poll, Eden Hazard, carries the armband hopes of many as Jose Mourinho’s side look for a win that would stretch their lead at the summit to seven points.

As always, you can look to our Twitter feed for news of today’s teamsheets, while our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open and will accompany you through today’s matches right through until the last kick at the Bridge.

To be fair I don't quite understand why United seem to be getting some criticism having just beat WBA 3-0 at the Hawthorns...

Considering most big teams this year screwed up against WBA, they're performing above par.

You know as well as I do that this is consistent for a united performance this season. It wasn't that WBA were all over them, it was that United were swinging hopeless crosses and doing the same nonsense they've done every match. Extremely slow play, lethargic nearly. That's what they were getting criticism for.

              That's the trap 😉

Don't get me wrong, good result and we didn't throw it away which is progress but it needs to be better if they have any aspiration of finishing higher than 6th. Still a better performance from them then recent ones so you're right in that sense.

While this is true, thats more due to the fact that the other teams screwed up more so than WBA playing really well. Besides, Uniteds season needs more saving than an "easy" win against WBA. Besides, theyve played pretty poor football all season, which im guessing is the main reason.

They have been poor. Think the big teams didn't all slip up against WBA by coincidence though, reckon they got done by their counterattacking tactics, which Mel seems to have ended. Might explain why United could turn them over relatively easily. I can't wait for the Olympiakos game. If Olympiakos get an away goal I will be delirious.

There are no easy games in the BPL, but its easy for top teams to think that, atleast thats what i think. For instance Liverpool had that game under complete control, although they didnt create a whole lot, until Kolo gave it away at the end. My point was simply that a couple of wins away from home, although beating Palace and WBA without conceding is certainly steps in the right direction as far as results so, im not so sure that i think the team has performed a hell of a lot better.

        they played pretty well IMO.

I think people are doing WBA a disservice here, they are not an easy side to beat and they came out of the blocks fired up. Utd were still the better side in those early exchanges - they played well today.

I have nothing against WBA but we're just going to have to agree to disagree, United played very slow today and stuck to the cross and pray system pretty often. It was a better United side but as I said I felt it only really clicked when RVP went off. My biggest concern is that Liverpool will eat them alive if they play like this.

confidence is a huge factor in a side's performance and you could see that growing as the game went on.

I think they'll be able to draw on a number of positives (Fellaini, Rafael, Jones & Smalling, Rooney) and if they can take that into the game against Liverpool, they have every chance.

Let's not forget how shit Liverpool are defensively. Utd now have 4 clean sheets in 6.

I love your optimism but I'm not ready to increase my expectation yet. Liverpool are defensively shit, I agree, but you need to catch them quickly when they don't have numbers back, United seem to have forgotten how to do that. Then you have the speed of our defenders, Smalling and Jones vs. Studge and Luis. Don't even want to think about that one tbh.

Tbf, had RVP kept his cool, he'd have stayed on the pitch and got amongst the action. That's how thin the line is between success and failure it seems.

Yeah in central midfield. I was hoping to have him on the right as a Walcott-like outlet, but central midfield is great too - think he scored twice there recently, might have been Palace

Palace yeah. Wenger has said that central midfield is where he sees AOC`s potential going forward. I think he has every opportunity to become a very good player in this position.

Wenger doesnt seem to see it that way, preferring the ball playing wide men, compared to the penetrating ones such as AOC and Gnabry. Still think hes worth keeping though, which was my original point :p

Ozil isnt even the best player at Arsenal, much less so in the world.

Meh. I hardly think he`s worth the £40m and i don`t think Arsenal is his best fit. That beeing said, i do think he`s very good, and that it would be different for him if say Theo was fit. I just dont like his attitude, hes just overly arrogant for my liking.

It should be a Noone assist.

It wasn’t a cross, but a shot on goal.
Deflected shot on goal = assist
    Deflected pass = no assist

    So yeah.

    Credits to "Tranny Tek".

In a DGW, if a player plays 90mins and then 30 mins, do they get 4 points or 3 points from appearances?
