you have Baines for the attacking threat for which he will have plenty of oppurtunity and cleansheets in atleast 1 of 2 games is likely, you have Kompany for cleansheets mainly and his chances are probably around 1 out of 2 games aswel......so based on that i would stick. PL games playout very differently to cup games

Right Back is a serious problem. Last season Johnson was brilliant, stuck two fingers up at his critics, played really well defensively and going forward.
This season he has been absolutely dire for Liverpool, had no desire, no threat going forward, and has been out performed by Flanagan.
But the alternative is Walker, who has also been a bit shite, it seems his only attribute is pace, has errors in him, and can get beaten too easily.
At DM it looks like we'll be playing Stevie G, and that worries me. If you compare Liverpool's goals conceded per game with Gerrard playing DM compared to that with Lucas playing DM its much higher.
Of course Liverpool's goals scored tally is higher too, as Gerrard can start moves off from deep with his raking diagonal passes, but for an England team not likely to score too many this is a risk.
Gerrard doesn't exactly fit into the team that well elsewhere, the best way to accommodate him is in a midfield 3 with two younger players who still have their legs and a bit of pace to cover for him at times. Not to say he should be dropped, his self belief and drive as a captain are worth a fair amount, but there are issues to look at when he is in the team.
We don't have many options though, you're right. Barry or Carrick could be drafted in to play DM, and push Gerrard slightly further forward, but thats not a very inspiring sight in midfield, neither of them are particularly quick any more either.Open Controls

It's true, the England CBs ain't what they used to be.
But it's even worse when it comes to strikers. Chris Sutton would be first choice these days! Him, Fowler, Sir Les and Ian Wright barely got a sniff.Open Controls-

We were blessed for strikers in the mid 90s, its amazing how few games the likes of Fowler, Wright etc got considering their club tallies.
But Shearer, Sheringham, Owen were even better I guess.
It is remarkable how many caps Heskey has considering much of his competition.
Also, a tragic stat - Andy Carroll has more caps than Matt Le Tissier
Sturridge is currently prolific, and so is being hailed as the saviour of our strike force, but who else is there apart from him and Rooney?

I assume most will captain a Liverpool striker GW31, Is aguero that essential as most won't captain him and could get a diff striker who plays twice GW31 for a lot less i.e. Lukaku, Remy and then afford better def and mids, I want aguero but not sure he's essential, also taking injuries/minutes into account

Not surprising that Suarez may fall tonight, but I am not sure if shipping him out (instead of Studge) is the right move specially with difficult fixtures ahead - he fares better than studge in difficult fixtures.
