I don't have a WC but it depends on the state of your team and how much room you have for price rises for the players you want

In same position. Waiting till next week. Could brign players in and then they get injured/suspended next week. Not worth the risk.

      Now I think.

Well after the games tomorrow so we can see if there's going to be FA cup replays and hopefully see how that affects the doubles.

Hmm. Wouldnt buy him, but wouldn't sell. Didn't have many chances, but nobody did until the second goal.

Rooney looks the pick for now, but next week it could easily all change again

I'm playing a higher rank so if I play my WC do I get penalized -11 or is that only in the opposite scenario?

So if the higher seed plays WC, there's no -11? That's tough on us little guys. Better pick a lot better than I did this week.

Of course not. If they have a better rank than you without using it, you must be doing something wrong. 😉
Last season all the WCs overcome the -11.5

So what happens if the higher rank seed has already played their season WC to be in a higher position to their opponent, who is a lower rank seed, and the lower rank then uses their season WC? Does the lower rank seed still get penalized -11?

I'm not expecting to get beyond the first round because this is dizzy heights for me as it is, but I just wondered before pressing 'activate'.

You get a free "dream" team the week you WC & your rival may take a hit to minimize the -11.5. Last season all the WCers won even with the penalty. Make sure you get the CS then you'll beat a good chance.

No point being a top seed otherwise as the WC team would nearly always beat you.

Morning gents. How'd we all fair. I had a decent gameweek. Two injury doubts came through, shame chambers didnt play. Thoughts on these moves:

Eto & Olsson > Aguero and Chester

Eto, Olsoon & Mata > Aguero, Baines & Sterling -4

I know its a minus 4 but the second one really appeals to me for the DGW. Mata seems consistent enough but a waste of all that money.

Just playing around with options. I can save -8 by not getting Michu for Lallana (as Olsson to Chester is required to finance).

There's a fair bit of crap in my team and a swing in fixtures, breaking the hits down most of them should pay off.

It's easy to ring the changes when you start making one hit, then another and another haha I'm looking at a -8 myself. Dropping Olsson to Chester for funds too or I could go big and Drop Mata for Sterling, giving me enough cash for Baines.

              I probably wouldn't drop Lallana

Yeah the Lallana out part is risky and probably won't happen, especially with the transfer cost.

Wouldn't get him now to be honest. Think it's possible he might be rested for the Hull game, especially with the Barca game lurking, and he looked unsharp in the league cup final.

FA Cup tie with Wigan on 9th
              Barcelona on 12th
              Hull on 15th
              Fulham on 22nd
              United on 25th
              Arsenal on 29th

Aguero got injured so quickly last time and that's the most obvious game to rest him after playing Wigan and Barcelona. That or Fulham, which is also bad.

Oh balls, I see, you can't get him later. Given he rose 49.5% today I'd think you'll have to wait and see how many transfers he gets today on Sunday. Could well go up by Wednesday morning if he's on 80%+ on Sunday night.

It's good logic, but he's probably going up .2 this week, and if he does anything against Hull he'll go up another .3 forcing you into an early transfer week 31. I think I'm busting a move on him tomorrow or monday, even though I think I'd rather have Lukaku this week. Aguero probably plays 60 minutes max, and a good chance of 15-30.

Yeah, look at the fixtures above though, particularly given his injuries I can't see him starting all 6, and he could start as few as 4 imo. 6 games in 21 days.

Totally true, but I'm willing to accept a missed start or two with the extra fixtures and City pushing for the title. My budget is too tight to let him rise 1/2 million and then get him later on. If he stays fit (Admittedly a big if) I think he's the favorite to be the highest scoring player in FPL the rest of the way, even with some rest.

Did anyone own Walters when he scored two own goals and missed a penalty against Chelsea?

"Many have asked in the aftermath of the game, whether it was the worst individual performance in Premier League history.

In the official Fantasy Premier League game, the former Ipswich Town striker ended the match with minus four points!"

I actually think all of the transfers are profitable over the next few GWs except Olsson > Chester. Not sure about Lallana > Michu as you'd be selling a very good player in Lallana, but Michu has interesting upside.

Might hit it without Olsson > Chester

Not sure if that causes you to not afford it. Might be worth it if it's the deal breaker. Only opposed to it because I don't think Hull have a huge amount left to play for and seem to have folded defensively.

The more likely scenario is I hold Lallana which saves me -8 as Olsson to Chester is only to finance Michu. I could break even on the Olsson to Chester move but don't expect a gain, the other transfers I think will all pay off.

Keeping Lallana would be 5 transfers over GW30-31 so -12.

So really comes down to how much upside Michu has.

Watching Swansea for the last few weeks they do seem to have regained a fluidity and sharpness in the final third that seemed to wane of late under Laudrup. I have a feeling that Michu's fantasy points of last season won't return though no matter how well he plays, because Bony is stealing some of the goals now. Bony also no longer has Europa to distract him.

The thing is, just one goal with maximum baps can pay off the hit. Swansea have more to play for and they have the 3rd best run in if you sort the ticker from now to GW38. Michu has goalscoring pedigree beyond last season. Bony is definitely a concern though.

If he got 2 points for playing over 60, then minus 4 for the two own goal (if you get 2 pr) then another minus 2 for the penalty miss it's correct. But I still think he should've ended up with a much worse score 🙂

Never as simple as buy or wait.

You may be forced to do it early if you can't afford a rise, but obviously it's best to wait if possible.

yeah but the extra matches..it's fine if you can still get him in after three weeks but he'll cost a mill more.

I was so close to getting in de Gea, Caulker, Jones, Rafael, Shaw, Johnson, Mutch, Hazard, Rooney, Ba & Eto'o but went for Kaboul instead 😥

Did Chambers get injured, dropped, rotated? Why did Clyne start?

Rotated, hopefully. Clyne probably wanted to play against his former side.

Hope he's back next week. Will possibly shift him for Chester in the DGW but would rather not have to make that transfer

It's kind of crazy that Kevin Nolan is the fifth highest scoring midfielder in the game with two red cards and that Ramsey is seventh even though he's missed the last 10 weeks...

Now look at 'All Players' in FPL and see how the midfielders score against other positions...

Proves how shit the midfield has been this season, with the exception of Hazard & Yaya Touré.

He has been very solid, hasn't he? I guess he continues to slip under the radar because he's so reliant on set pieces and he hasn't really had an explosive stretch, just solid, consistent points.

Highlights how poor the midfield has been this year; also highlights how essential Yaya and Hazard have been and probably will be.
