Ok so I tried being good and planning ahead, I got Smalling in a couple of weeks back, and now he's out. I was going to -4 out Fonte as SGW but now Smalling confirmed out what do I do? My "differential" in my ML was doing -4 max....

    Adrian
    Coleman Fonte Smalling
    Haz Silva Yaya AJ
    Suarez Studge Luk

    Davis Burner Ward Kasami
    No FT

If was to -8, who would you get in for Fonte & Smalling? Have 10.7m to play with total.
    Any help appreciated

    My team for the DGW:

    Mannone
    Evra, Chester, Demel
    Hazard, Yaya, Silva, Nolan
    Suarez, Sturridge, Lukaku

Good to go, or does it need something? Damn, this is hard.

Bit weak at the back I guess but you're looking pretty good. You don't have funds to get someone in abd bench Hazard? AJ or Silva perhaps, this gets you another doubler for 34 as well.

    Mannone

    Kolorov Coleman Kosch

    Haz Yaya Silva Sterling

    Suarez Sturridge Lukaku

    Subs: Boruc, Azpi, Ward, Dud

I know Kolorov and Sterling are not great picks as not nailed on. Would u play azpi instead?

No they aren't nailed on but could still turn out to be brilliant picks. Kolarov sometimes come on with 10-20 minutes left, that's time enough for him to score or assist. And he should have one from the start as well, probably against Fulham.

Good team. Lacking Baines and a fourth DGW mid so 7/10

Anyone thinking of starting Ivan/Terry/Cahill over Chester? Getting Chester as my 5th defender due to price and his DGW (i.e. 3-4 points at least with a small chance of a CS), but I fancy Chelsea to keep a cleanie and Ivan may even pop up with a goal.

          But I can't give a single point to bench a Chelsea's defender
I have 2 Che defender and it really isnt feeling right to bench any of them, cant go 5-3-2 either

      Tough call Tinkerman.

The lure of having 11 DGW players is clouding everyone's judgement.

Can think of good reasons to do both... But I would think about playing Chester. Can't rely on any defender to score a goal. And even if Chelsea do keep a cleanie, Chester should pick up 4 points still anyway...

I'm doing the equivalent and playing Chester over Azpi - on paper I think it's relatively clear-cut as Hull have a couple of relatively nice fixtures to Chelsea's fairly poor one. That said, if you've got as gut feeling there don't let us sway you!

Good point about Falcao. Perhaps managers should consider getting combinations of players because often it is the reason for why they play well. Player partnerships are an important consideration.

I think Norwich have a decent shot at a cleanie, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it. I think City have a greater chance of a cleanie in the first match of their double and Zaba has decent attacking threat.

It is more like a 2 point hit, since Zaba will probably get a couple of points at least against United. Do you want Zaba over Kompany long-term?

Yeah, like I say I had Kompany anyway, and he would have been a season keeper for me had he not missed the game against Fulham.

Thinking about it, swapping Kompany for Zabaleta is like taking a 4-point hit just to get a potential clean sheet against Fulham?

So I may aswell not bother!?

It's a -2 point hit in reality since Zaba gets 2 points for extra minutes in the first fixture (not against United, that was confusing). Given the money saves and the extra goal-threat/clean sheet threat than Olsson against Sunderland, I think it's worth it.

LukAku to Jelavic (good stats/DGW) would free your money up to get Yaya?

downgrade a defender to upgrade lallana, too much money in your defence there

Boruc -> 3.9 and hold on Mannone till the end of the season. Simples.

I find it very funny that if you state your team rank straight away someone who probably has less points wants you to link your team. Trust issues me thinks! 🙂

Rewording for clarity: 70 points behind ML leader. Do I take -12 to get Yaya, Silva & Gerrard in Vs his almost dormant team with Suarez (c)?

Yaya; Silva; Gerrard; Nolan + Suarez, Studge & Lukaku

    Vs

Yaya; Lalla; Haz; Januzai + Suarez, Studge, Giroud

If Snodgrass is in, it's a total farce.

Hmm I'm now starting to want Kolarov.. help me!
Looking at his minutes it seems he is due for 90mins+ over the next two games?
Going Kolarov instead of Zaba will allow me to do Snodgrass-> Ramsey after dgw if he is back..?

    Then I'll have:

    Boruc Mannone
    Vlaar Ivanovic Coleman Baines Kolarov
    Yaya Hazard Sterling Ramsey Silva
    Lukaku Suárez Sturridge

Seems like a high risk high reward plan?
