Ok so I tried being good and planning ahead, I got Smalling in a couple of weeks back, and now he's out. I was going to -4 out Fonte as SGW but now Smalling confirmed out what do I do? My "differential" in my ML was doing -4 max....
Adrian
Coleman Fonte Smalling
Haz Silva Yaya AJ
Suarez Studge Luk
Davis Burner Ward Kasami
No FT
If was to -8, who would you get in for Fonte & Smalling? Have 10.7m to play with total.
Any help appreciatedOpen Controls -
My team for the DGW:
Mannone
Evra, Chester, Demel
Hazard, Yaya, Silva, Nolan
Suarez, Sturridge, Lukaku
Good to go, or does it need something? Damn, this is hard.Open Controls-
Nice. I'd like an Everton def, but can't have it all I guess.
Open Controls-
Yeah, I know. But that means another hit (already on -8), and not Coleman or Baines, but one of the less likely lads.
Open Controls
-
-
Bit weak at the back I guess but you're looking pretty good. You don't have funds to get someone in abd bench Hazard? AJ or Silva perhaps, this gets you another doubler for 34 as well.

Marks out of 10 for this lads
Mannone
Kolorov Coleman Kosch
Haz Yaya Silva Sterling
Suarez Sturridge Lukaku
Subs: Boruc, Azpi, Ward, Dud
I know Kolorov and Sterling are not great picks as not nailed on. Would u play azpi instead?Open Controls-
No they aren't nailed on but could still turn out to be brilliant picks. Kolarov sometimes come on with 10-20 minutes left, that's time enough for him to score or assist. And he should have one from the start as well, probably against Fulham.
Good team. Lacking Baines and a fourth DGW mid so 7/10Open Controls

Anyone thinking of starting Ivan/Terry/Cahill over Chester? Getting Chester as my 5th defender due to price and his DGW (i.e. 3-4 points at least with a small chance of a CS), but I fancy Chelsea to keep a cleanie and Ivan may even pop up with a goal.
Open Controls-
(on a WC)
Open Controls-
I'll play Chester ahead of Terry.
Open Controls
-
-
I'm starting Ivan..but then my case is different I have only 7 DGW players
Open Controls-
Obviously if I had no other option I'd be relatively confident playing Ivan, but in my case it means benching Chester.
Open Controls
-
-
-
Because you think Chester has a decent shot at a cleanie in one of the two games or just because he has 2 games?
Open Controls
-
-
I am playing both Ivan and chester
But if I have to choose one of them, quiet tough but I would gamble on chesterOpen Controls-
Tricky, isn't it?
Open Controls-
Yeah, very tricky... I can say Hazard dont score against top teams and bench him
But I can't give a single point to bench a Chelsea's defender
I have 2 Che defender and it really isnt feeling right to bench any of them, cant go 5-3-2 eitherOpen Controls-
I would bench Azpi and play Chester maybe, since Azpi won't get bonus in a cleanie
Open Controls

-
-
Tough call Tinkerman.
The lure of having 11 DGW players is clouding everyone's judgement.
Can think of good reasons to do both... But I would think about playing Chester. Can't rely on any defender to score a goal. And even if Chelsea do keep a cleanie, Chester should pick up 4 points still anyway...Open Controls-
I know, you've summed up my conundrum pretty well, but I can't help but think an Ivan cleanie is more likely
Open Controls
-
-
I'm doing the equivalent and playing Chester over Azpi - on paper I think it's relatively clear-cut as Hull have a couple of relatively nice fixtures to Chelsea's fairly poor one. That said, if you've got as gut feeling there don't let us sway you!
Open Controls-
You're right. I should go with my gut. Thanks!

I see Hulk got a nice goal for Zenit in the CL. For a while he was widely touted as a prospect in one of the big premier league clubs. Could he be the answer to striker issues at Chelsea or any other big club?
Open Controls-
I don't think he is or he will get back to the form when he was beasting in Porto with Falcao a few seasons ago.
Open Controls -
Damn, atm I was talking abt Hulk for chelsea with my friend...
Though we can play without a striker, dont play much role in our tactic but I would love to see that guy in our teamOpen Controls-
Don't think Hulk is any better than the ones you have.

Hi guys, little help please...
Do I:
A) Play MOlsson at home to Sunderland
B) Take a 4-point hit for Kompany --> Zabaleta
Cheers!Open Controls-
I think Norwich have a decent shot at a cleanie, but I wouldn't pin my hopes on it. I think City have a greater chance of a cleanie in the first match of their double and Zaba has decent attacking threat.
It is more like a 2 point hit, since Zaba will probably get a couple of points at least against United. Do you want Zaba over Kompany long-term?Open Controls-
Yeah, like I say I had Kompany anyway, and he would have been a season keeper for me had he not missed the game against Fulham.
Thinking about it, swapping Kompany for Zabaleta is like taking a 4-point hit just to get a potential clean sheet against Fulham?
So I may aswell not bother!?Open Controls-
It's a -2 point hit in reality since Zaba gets 2 points for extra minutes in the first fixture (not against United, that was confusing). Given the money saves and the extra goal-threat/clean sheet threat than Olsson against Sunderland, I think it's worth it.

Is Evans to Chester a definite 'yes'?

A. Ward & Sterling
B. Dann & AJOpen Controls-
I'm not uptodate on Sterling minutes - is he not under threat a bit? If not, A

Hi Guys. Which would you go for?
A) Coleman, gerrard, rosicky, dzeko
B) Coleman, johnson, sterling, lukaku
C) 4.3m def, johnson, gerrard, lukakuOpen Controls -

Rosicky for sure whilst Ozil is out. McGeady not guaranteed a lot of game time IMO.

I'm in bed with bronchitis, so I'd just like to make myself feel better by sharing my team for DGW after a -4:
Adrian
Ivan Coleman Chester
Haz Gerrard YaYa Silva
S S L
(Mann / Vlaar / Punch / Ward).
Probably cursed it now.Open Controls-
Nice. I'd play Vlaar ahead of Ivan

Stuck who to swap out. Will keep 1 for double and gw32
A) mirallas rotation risk
Or
B) mata not doing much for price tagOpen Controls-
b) money tied up in him is an issue
Open Controls -
I'd keep both. With Pienaar out, Mirallas is far more secure and probably Everton's biggest threat. RVP out potentially could be good for Mata. Even if he's fit, I have a funny feeling United are set to go on a classic ens of season run

Anybody have clean sheet odds for the weekend? Who's more likely to keep one, Norwich or Villa?
Open Controls -

Yes. Getting Zabaleta, Coleman or Baines would be much better if possible though. Kosc also a good shout

I'm cataching a 90 point lead in my ML
The leader is on his wildcard
I have taken a -12
The only hope in hell I have is a captain differential
I have Suarez & Sturridge
Who should I Captain out of those 2?Open Controls-
Suarez over Sturridge for me so if you chasing I would suggest the latter.
Haven't you another player to consider giving the armband to that is more of a differential?Open Controls

Am stuck... I have 1 FT but certainly prepared to spend two if neded.

1.5 ITB. Any advice welcome. I would like to get Yaya in somehow while keeping Hazard on the bench for next weeks CRY game. Lallana > Yaya would be perfect but I am 0.6 short 🙁Open Controls-
LukAku to Jelavic (good stats/DGW) would free your money up to get Yaya?

I find it very funny that if you state your team rank straight away someone who probably has less points wants you to link your team. Trust issues me thinks! 🙂

Rewording for clarity: 70 points behind ML leader. Do I take -12 to get Yaya, Silva & Gerrard in Vs his almost dormant team with Suarez (c)?
Yaya; Silva; Gerrard; Nolan + Suarez, Studge & Lukaku
Vs
Yaya; Lalla; Haz; Januzai + Suarez, Studge, GiroudOpen Controls -
Anymore transfers worth making with this? Currently on -4...

Hmm I'm now starting to want Kolarov.. help me!
Looking at his minutes it seems he is due for 90mins+ over the next two games?
Going Kolarov instead of Zaba will allow me to do Snodgrass-> Ramsey after dgw if he is back..?
Then I'll have:
Boruc Mannone
Vlaar Ivanovic Coleman Baines Kolarov
Yaya Hazard Sterling Ramsey Silva
Lukaku Suárez Sturridge
Seems like a high risk high reward plan?Open Controls -
