      Rooney moves onto pens and has less competition for free kicks. Not actually sure if it's better having him at center forward or not but would think Welbeck would play there given Rooney is needed elsewhere...

          Yeah I know, my point is that would place Rooney at center forward when they might want him playing deeper because not many other players in the team can do what he can do.

          That said, maybe Mata will play in the hole as he might be a player who can.

    Could that injury be a blessing in disguise for moyes/united? I know losing RVP is not good, but surely moyes will play mata in his best position. Also doesn't rooney usually play better without RVP?

    Owning Lukaku is frustrating at times, and with RVP out, Rooney would become essential.
