We delve into the data offered up by Saturday and Sunday’s 10 fixtures this evening. Newcastle’s weekend goal hero, Villa’s foraging frontman and Liverpool’s talismanic South American are all under analysis, while we also cast an eye over a trio of midfield playmakers plying their trade at United, Swansea and Tottenham:

    Those with Mannone / Adrian, what are your plans for GW33 and 34? Terrible fixtures!

    Mannone - tot, (eve mci)
    Adrian ----- LIV, ars

      I dont have Adrian but I would go Mannone for both. Tottenham not as free scoring as Pool and Mannone has a DGW the next

        Yeah... Tottenham is better than Liverpool ... 😀
        but still its ****.
        And that DGW has all the potential to be like (-1, -1), lol... better to play Adrian I think - "damage limitation"

        I really wish I could do a transfer on the GKs, but can't due to other major concerns.

              Originally, I had plans to do Adrian > Speroni after this week, but as it seems, I can't afford to lose a FT on goalkeepers. Saving the FT would be crucial to prevent a -4 hit later after GW34.

              So, I am viewing it as a hit transfer. Is Adrian > Speroni worth a -4, when I would pretty much play him only twice - GW 33 and 34.

        Really? I would suggest not.

        I have him and am scared to play him. Goal fest for City and Everton and you would end up with negative points.

        Had I the privilege of another FT, I would have surely done Adrian > Speroni to cover up Mannone.

          But if I am only going to have one of the cheap keepers from now until the end of the season surely Mannone with his extra games is likely to score the most points? (Ignoring individual gameweeks and treating the rest of the season as a whole).

            Yes, I presume so...

            He should outscore any individual sub-4.6m keeper.

            Cech / Lloris might however be the highest scoring GK, imo. While New-Hull or Stoke-Villa combo might get you more points at a lower price than the premium keepers.

      Great, well balanced team. I would be tempted to hold, and maybe consider AJ for the DGW in for Nolan, although I don't really fancy him and prefer Nolan to score well over these last couple of months. I would look at getting rid of Chambers, even if he starts, Southampton don't do defending anymore. Would be tempted to get Dummett myself, or punt on Baker, with Vlaar being the more nailed on option.

            Yes, 3 fixtures, and then again a transfer...

            Well, I am actually planning to rotate my forward line using FTs to maxmize points - Rooney, Sturridge, Giroud and Lukaku will be transferred in and out near the end of season. So, I would prefer a Spurs mid - since they have some rosy fixtures till the end. I would go with Yaya, Hazard, Paulinho/Chadli/Eriksen.

            If you would like to capitalize on the remaining Snoddy fixtures, go right ahead - just remember 2 of them are away matches and the team is Norwich.

      Going with 6 only. Solid 6 - Aguero, Yaya, Kolarov, Baines, Coleman, Lukaku.
      Not sure about Mannone - he can get negative points in both fixtures - might play Adrian as damage limitation.

      That means, I can't have Sturridge. but I will have - Suarez, Ivanovic, Hazard + one mid - to be decided [transferred in place on Nolan]

            Exactly - that's a given, Aguero or not.
            Even if I get Aguero for Sturridge, Lukaku > Rooney is a must.

            Aguero will have 7 fixtures instead of Sturridge's 5 - so if he remains fit, points will be maximized. [Note: I am not talking value for money at this tad end of the season]

          For me, yes.

          I have been delighted to own him. Points galore - only you have to play him always - never, never bench him.

          From GW20 onwards:
          Kolarov = 42
          Zabaleta = 34
          Kompany = 29

      Well, personally I would not ditch Kolarov with those extra fixtures, and the team being City. Neither Nolan, especially for his Sunderland fixture. I fancy Nolan to outscore AJ. So, I would ditch AJ. I don't think you'll really need AJ for DGW in 34. Sunderland are stuttering.

      So, I would do AJ > Eriksen / Sterling given your team.

      However, if you are keen for booting them out, then why don't you go for Kompany/Zabaleta & Sterling?

    I currently have no Man Utd. players, should this be a cause for concern over these next 2 weeks? If you were to own a United player who would it be? The only one I'd want would be Rooney, but I don't really want to change my SLS front 3 either..

      That is the problem, a United player would be great but there is a cost to getting Rooney in. I think its not the worst idea to assume United will continue to be inconsistent and generally unreliable.

      If I was to take a punt on a United player it would be in the defence. I think Jones is virtually nailed on now baring injury.

        Thats based mainly on the fact that he could play anywhere across the back-line and as a DM. He's so versatile that if there is any injury anywhere else Jones will be needed.

        Also Moyes has said he will receive more game time as he looks to next season with Vidic and probably Evra leaving United. Jones will get his opportunity ahead of next season.

    Why are everybody writing off Sunderland players?. You do realise that with the maximum attainable 9 points from the extra 3 they could move from 18th to 11th. I see them giving their best in the coming weeks. Off course it could all be just me.

      Not like "writing off" but they have a huge and mammoth task ahead of them - playing che, mci, mun, tot and EVE.

      Basically, they have only 4 games to save their season - WHM, CAR, WBA, SWA - they are presently on 25 points, if they win all of them it makes 37 - short of that magic 40. If they lose any one of those 4 fixtures, then its over...

      That continues the exodus of Arsenal players to City: Nasri, Kolo Toure, Adebayor...

        Do any of the players that move from Arsenal to City ever become much better players though? They all seem to move on at their peak and grow stale at City..

    Who is most nailed on in City's midfield? Navas, Milner or Garcia?

      is this a serious question?

      Just pick from Yaya, Silva and Nasri

        I wouldn't discard Navas so easily, he's a quality player and can make as much of a difference as Nasri can?

      The only one out of those three worth looking at is Navas but he's far from nailed on

      I'm thinking of (c) Hazard against Palace this round, so I think he could be worth -4 to get in.
      A or B, depends if you feel the hit is worth it

        Palace tend to be a bit more solid at home though right?

        Then again.. Same could usually be said for Arsenal.
