Sturridge captain tonight over (like everyone else in my ML) Suarez, % chances of him out scoring the little biter?
Open ControlsGerrard -> Lallana (if Gerrard gets booked tonight), otherwise save the freebie.
Sound about right?
Manonne
Baines, Terry, Distin
Yaya, Silva, Gerrard, Nolan
Suarez, Sturridge, Lukaku
Gazzaniga, Chester, Williamson, Gnabry
Bank 0.5m, 1 freebieOpen ControlsI see there are a few comments saying this DGW hasn't resulted in a serious improvement in rank mainly due to the DGW template. I'd say I have a DGW template and my rank has gone from 23k to 14k. I think that is a serious improvement.
Open ControlsHope you have some west ham players.
I dont and am a little worriedOpen ControlsSounds like we've swapped places 🙁
Open ControlsWe're pretty close this year Ryan - I'm 17,125th.
Open ControlsYeah, pretty close. I'd better up my game or you'll beat me this year!
Open Controls
DGW template, rank has gone from 38k to 25k, with 6 players playing today.
No Gerrard though.Open Controls
I want double Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal in defence...
Madness!Open ControlsI want 2 Chelsea, 2 Arsenal, 1 City and 1 Tottenham as my GK + 4 defenders from GW35 onwards.
Not gonna happen though. 🙁Open ControlsWill ditch Everton defence for Double chelsea and Arsenal post GW34
Open ControlsWill probably just stick with Distin so it is easier to switch.
Open ControlsI had Coleman and brought in Baines for the double so cant complain. Will ditch Baines for Ivan I think unless I go down the City route.
Open ControlsI really hope we see teams branch off now to make the last few weeks more exciting, but it doesn't look like it will happen.
Open ControlsWith a City, Arsenal and Chelsea all having good fixtures til the end and Suarez being Suarez, it's unlikely that our teams will differ much
Open Controls
This seems to be the latest direction of travel. Need Kosc back to consider Arsenal.
Open ControlsYeah will likely go Kos myself. Unless he's out for a while.

repost from bottom of last page:
boruc mannone
cahill evra coleman shaw ward
yaya haz AJ sterling ince
SAS lukaku
1FT and .9 in the bank. and I still have my WC. any transfer suggestions? or should I just save my FT?Open ControlsI know this sounds like madness, but you could do worse than Ince to snoddy or Adam or are you keeping Ince for the double?
Open ControlsInce to Adam/Snoddy/Mutch imo
I dont think you'll ever need your WC tbh.. your team is pretty set 🙂Open Controls
Never thought i'd be disappointed with 103 points. ML rival got 131 with pretty much exactly the same players to come, just mignolet vs McGregor and bardsley!
Open ControlsNolan > Lallana for my FT this week is a no brainer right?
Open ControlsReally? I was thinking Snodgrass or Eriksen or Paulinho or Chadli.
Look at those fixtures of Tottenham - liv SUN wba FUL sto whu AVL
Eriksen would have been ideal, but for his erratic game time. Paulinho is the next in line.Open ControlsA pal of mine, who is top in my ML to my 2nd, offered me £50 to buy and play every week, Snodgrass.....didn't take it, gutted now.
Open Controls
Adrian Mannone
Baines Coleman Azpilicueta Dann Chester
Silva Hazard Yaya AJ(6.5) Sterling(5.9)
Suarez Sturridge Lukaku
2 FTs... AJ and Sterling are my only concern
A) AJ + Sterling to Lallana + Mutch
B) AJ to Mutch leaving enough cash for Chester to Demichelis next week
C) Sterling to Mutch and do the Chester to Demichelis move next week by freeing up the 0.6 via Adrian to 3.9er
Thanks 🙂Open ControlsEven if he does.. its never a sure thing he will the next week 🙁 .. so cheap though and so much potential. Losing all faith in AJ slowly
Open Controls
LOL How did I miss this, i just posted the same thing.
To be honest, I have no clue what to do with him... rotation is killing me.Open Controls
Early in the morning at 4:00 a.m., I woke up to catch the Manchester derby game with a good buddy of mine at a local 24 hours outdoor food stall. There's a chatter just a table behind me and I overheard this in disgust.
"I used to support Man Utd but now I support Liverpool."
Stay classy, United fans.Open ControlsStandard.
Open ControlsSurely in jest, no self respecting fan would ever make that move.
Open ControlsYou'd be surprised.. a lot of fans i know are switching teams because according to them Manutd have let them down and they dont like the management and what the future is leading towards.. so according to them its justified and Moyes and co. are to blame 🙄 .. dunno how ppl can stop supporting their club
Open ControlsThey don't support anyone.
Open ControlsYou live in the UK? So you do get this a lot there too. I thought it was only a minority but here in SEA, we have tonnes! In a way, I think it's just the perfect timing to filter out those gloryhunters.
What about those who want Moyes out? They are just a bunch of classless fans with no difference to those I mentioned in the original post.Open ControlsI don't know, you could argue 'real' fans have the right to criticise their team and management. Perhaps they feel they are doing long term good by kicking up a fuss now to put pressure on the board to sack Moyes. To them that will be a good thing for United.
Open ControlsThey do have the right but no matter what, I don't think that's the standard of attitude set by the club that fans should behave this way when we lose our form and then say glory to United when we win again. And all in all, it's unfair to United to be treated this way.
Open ControlsArguably, the Board will be more concerned with the floating fans. Merchandise, TV money and sponsors are where the money is. Fewer 'fans' will see a downturn in revenue from these sources.
Open ControlsIf this is the case, then they were very naive when they appointed Moyes on a 6 year contract backing him for the long term. In order to keep the floating fans then you'd need instant and regular success. Mourinho would have bought this but it seems the Board wanted to take a different approach.
Open Controls
I hope you haven't been living under the rock. As an Asian, there is just too many redneck people in SEA who do that. We even have a growing number of City fans, what can you expect from this? There is 'the' only thing you can expect out of this...
Open ControlsPerhaps they can get away with being a bandwagoner because their family might not support a particular football club and they aren't really accountable to anyone. The lack of football culture probably breeds glory hunters.
Open ControlsI think you're quite spot on there with the last sentence. Football has only recently become popular in SEA recently around 1998 to 2000s. I don't think any fans from 1960s knew about a single English club.
Open ControlsIts similar here in New Zealand. In fact my generation (Y) are probably the ones to hop on board the 'EPL bandwagon' and support a club. It all started in the late 90's as you say, particularly with United fans. Chelsea and Arsenal had a good run in the early 2000's as well.
Open Controls
4:00am eh? Sounds like you're in Asia. I wouldn't lump all United fans in with some of the kind over here who just got into footie recently. No offence to any Asian footie fans intended, but there are a lot of bandwagoners over here.
Open ControlsNone taken and I second that.
There is indeed a lot of bandwagoners out here in South East Asia but I have definitely met a few who only started following football recently (by recent I mean 2000) supporting Chelsea and they have been very supportive over the years through the sacking stage.Open Controls
I used to like Grounderz but now I like Stoney instead.
Open ControlsI. Have. Done. Nothing. Wrong. Was just venting out frustration what I heard and it's pretty disgusting, honestly.
Open Controls
Glory hunter.
24 hours stall? Mamak la tu.Open Controls😆
Puteh folks sini tak faham lah apa mamak tu, 24 hours local food stall seems to be the best I could come up with to describe. 🙂Open Controls
Mirallas owners... what are you planning to do with him?
Hauled a decent 11 points on the weekend, though rested for the game against Newcastle. Rotation risk for sure, I'm unsure if I should hold on to him or flick.Open ControlsIf he's taking turns to start then I guess he's due to start the next game. You could wait a week if you have more pressing matters.
Open ControlsWe've all been in this situation. The problem is if he does start, and score, do you still have the balls to assume he will be dropped again the next week, or do you keep?
It can be a vicious cycle! I say if a player isn't guaranteed starts, shift him straight away.Open Controls
Maybe stick.
Open ControlsRotating risk, probably gonna start the next match. But too much of a risk, the money can be spent better, for instance Lallana, Nasri or Sterling (a rotation risk as well, btw)
Open ControlsI'm thinking Nasri might be a nice differential punt 🙂
Open Controls
Baines and Coleman created zero chances between em and took zero shots on/off target... hmmm. Hope they get back to attacking vs fulham this week
Open ControlsKept a clean sheet though
Open Controls
Currently at 154 points with 5 players to go, so very happy about that. But i have one problem, no Hazard. Can i manage the rest of the season without him?
Mannone - Gazzinga
Chester - Baines - Coleman - Bruce - Bardsley
Yaya - Silva - Nasri - Gerrard - Ki
Lukaku - Suarez - Sturridge
What to do with this team? 1 ft and 1.1m in the bank. I want to wait until after gw 34 before letting any City or Everton players go. And i kinda want to get rid of Gerrard at some point, and either get Hazard in, or a couple of Chelsea defenders. Help needed!Open ControlsHazard is 11 million now but chelseas fixtures are realy good.
Open ControlsDoesn't Yaya/Silva/Nasri suggest where you might start?
Open ControlsMaybe, but the problem is that all of thoose have 2 more matches than Hazard. Maybe Gerrard and Nasri to Hazard and Sterling or something like that.
Maybe even Baines and Gerrard to Hazard and Azpi. But maybe after gw 34.
The question is how bad will not having Hazard hurt me until gw 34 has passed? 😛Open Controls
Nasri and Gerrard for hazard and sterling/Erikson
Open Controls
With those Tottenham fixtures - liv SUN wba FUL sto whu AVL - which midfielder would you suggest for some points?
Can somebody enlighten me on Sherwood's idea regarding Eriksen? Will he get enough game time, or rotation risk?Open ControlsIm not looking at Tottenham. At least no until after gw 34 (unless you have 6 Everton/City players), might reconsider after that. By that time we will know more about Eriksens place in the team and if he is able to maintain his current form.
Open ControlsAlready got Baines, Coleman, Lukaku from Everton + Yaya, Kolarov from City.
I will stick with Kolarov. I have shifted to 4-3-3. If he doesn't play, I get points from the bench. That way, I make more points than some premium def + poor mid / premium mid + poor def.
Funds in place for Sturridge > Aguero when he returns.
Things seem to be under control. Yaya and Hazard are now permanent till end of season.
However, I don't like the fixtures of Nolan after GW32. A "nailed-on" Eriksen will take care of my midfield. I can concentrate on maximizing points at defence + forward, using the FTs.Open Controls^ this.
Open ControlsThe '^ this' comment was a reply fail to Ramboo above, can't quite make out if Eriksen is essential yet, you'd think so, then he's dropped.
Open Controls
Its an awkward one because only two of Adebayor, Soldado or Eriksen will start.
Open ControlsAny other mid from Tottenham worth considering? Chadli? Paulinho? Dembele? Townsend?
Open Controls
I'm actually disappointed with 139 points 😯 ...
Open ControlsI don't know. Its relative I suppose. Not so far ahead of everyone else. I am aiming to beat 200 points this week, and have Suarez (c), Sturridge, Gerrard, Chester, Mannone to play. If Suarez goes wild it can be done.
My jump was decent also, but this season for me is 2 steps forward, one step back, often the other way round, so its steady progress. I'm just dissapointed I'm back where I was a few weeks ago, if I hadn't made silly mistakes these last weeks I would have a much higher rank.
Also, some of the hits I made didn't pay off. Got rid of Lallana and Mata for Gerrard and Silva. If Gerrard does something tonight it will be somewhat justified, of not I will be wishing I had stuck will Lallana since I will want him back
Finally, getting Aguero early burned me. Cost me two transfers, we effectively the 8 point hit I took. I would be 8 points better off if I had waited, and thus my rank better.Open ControlsI hear you, Aguero stuffed me up as well and I consider myself lucky to come back from that with a good score this week. So far my one regret was getting AJ, especially knowing full well at the time that he probably wouldn't do much. Its just that I had the exact amount of cash and there weren't many good alternatives.
Open Controls
Most likely players for Everton in DGW
1. Baines / Coleman ... Lukaku .... Barkley
2. Baines / Coleman ... Lukaku .... Mirallas
3. Baines ... Lukaku ....ColemanOpen ControlsColeman Baines Lukaku are the most likely to play so ..
Open Controls
So who's getting Charlie Adam? rotates perfectly fixture difficulty wise and home/away with mutch too 😉 .. seriously tempted. defo got the fixtures and stoke have the form
Open ControlsRotates with....?
Open Controlsnot a fan of midfield rotations as they never work usually.. but him and mutch have beautiful fixtures if rotated. gotta see if he walks straight back into stoke's form team though
Open ControlsI assume he will go straight back. I shall consider Adam/Mutch as I have Sissoko/Sterling/Huddlestone in midfield.
Open Controls
Tempted but think I'm more likely to set up for DGWers instead
Open Controls
People are talking about selling Nolan halfway through his DGW. Here's what is going to happen:
Nolan has a terrible game, and then in the 90th minute he mishits the ball 2mph, it hits a stray balloon which has been thrown onto the pitch, wrongfoots the keeper, and dribbles over the goal line, relying on the referee's watch to be given...
Result: Nolan 5+2+1+3 = 11 points in a 1-0 win.
Watch these boards:
"I am buying Nolan for -4, good transfer?"
"Oh yes, he is essential!"
Yes, guys, what I am saying is we are all fickle and results orientated!Open ControlsWhat your saying is I should get Mutch in for a hit instead!
Open ControlsYes absolutely! But then if he blanks next week, sell him quick. Waste of space!
Open Controls
The weird thing is some people are selling him for lallana
Lallana has NEW mancity in the next two.
Nolan has sun LIV
I would probably back Nolan over those two games. After those games we will all be thinking purely about DGW playersOpen ControlsI'm selling him for Lallana too 😛
Home games against Newcastle, Cardiff, Everton with trips to Villa and Swansea in the next 6. I'll be keeping him for the rest of the season just cuz he has to do well to get into the England squad for the WC and I think he will outscore Nolan quite easily over the rest of the season.Open ControlsI agree, but personally I'd wait til after the city game. City seem to have tightened up.
Open Controls
All I see here is "invest in WHU defence, they're solid!".
Open ControlsI always planned on switching Noland to Silva regardless of score (because of respective fixtures). That is likely to still be the score whatever happens.
Open ControlsYeah, the switch to silva makes sense. If it is a DGW player who is either better or has immediately better fixtures, I'd agree.
Still let's see what happens on this site if he scores 😛Open Controls
Wanna remove Cazorla..who should I get in?
other mids: Hazard, Noone, Puncheon & SilvaOpen ControlsYaya must in though u have silva
Open ControlsYaya
Open ControlsSorry should have mentioned...I'm one of those guys who won't bring Yaya or Ramsey in
Open Controls
I'm thinking it's safe, and even wise to go without Arsenal, Tottenham and UTD players for the run in - do you agree??
Open ControlsI think if Sterling starts today he will scores or assists.......... in home liverpool are awesome
Open ControlsHope so.
I'm against ITWT in the cup, up 6 pts, have to fade Gerrard Chester Demel Johnson with only Sterling :-/Open Controls
G
Open ControlsUnless Gerrard gets booked tonight, I will save my FT this week. If he gets booked, I may do Gerrard to Nasri ahead of DGW34 (have Yaya).
Assuming no change, who do I bench?
A) Snodgrass
B) Mirallas
C) GerrardOpen ControlsTechniques to make people agree with you on FFS:
1. If someone disagrees, check their rank. If it is low, abuse them. Example:
"Yeah, thanks for the opinion. Oh and, nice rank. NOT. "
2. Make ridiculous choices which lead to the inevitable correct answer. Example:
A - Captain Hazard
B - Captain Noone
B - Trade my child for magic mushrooms
3. Invent a 'rival', preferably in a 'money league'. If necessary elaborate. Example:
Should I sell suarez for crouch?
The thing is, my rival is 4 points behind me, we have identical teams except I have suarez and he has crouch. We have a bet for this month only and it is for 400 million dollars. This is the last week of the bet. I don't care about anything else except this bet. Oh and I am terminally ill and will use the proceeds to support my family before I die next week.
Any more techniques? Please feel free to add!Open Controlsyou must have a boring life
Open ControlsI'm at work (teacher) and lessons are cancelled today. Basically yes.
Open Controls
Yeah, thanks for the techniques. Oh and, nice rank. NOT.
Open ControlsHmm think I understand your points but not sure people are that dramatic 🙂
Open Controls
148 (-8) with Sturridge, Suarez, Sterling and Adrian to go. Want to break 200!
Open ControlsMay do it if Suarez takes off again, I take it he's your captain?
Open Controls
Morning chaps 🙂
So was last night an improvement for many?
Expecting fireworks at Anfield tonight?Open ControlsNot singling anyone out in particular (Moin) but now we're at the back end of the season with all (or nothing) to play for, do you put your personal rules and rivalries aside?
Will you pick the players who will get you the most points?
Or do you still stubbornly refuse to bring in Yaya, will simply not touch a CHE player or detest the thought of Suarez in your team?Open ControlsNo matter how well he does I will never bring Ben Arfa in again, but that's a bit different as Barfa is useless. 😀
