I am bitter, yes. I ignored Ramsey earlier in the season and I have ignored Yaya Toure all season because well he's not that good a fantasy prospect. This level of shot accuracy is a phenomenon, unbelievable. Last night I sat and watched him do nothing (from an FPL prospective). I was thinking having this DM who can take pens and has a decent long shot is a bit like have Noble.
I cannot get my head round his high ownership. If he was an attacking mid who was in a team that didn't create many chances i wouldn't mind but City create loads!! Yes they have a higher chance of winning a pen than say WHU but come on!
I am going to be stubborn and ignore him and stick with the beautiful magician Silva, as getting Yaya "bloody" Toure in will do nothing for my rank.Open Controls

Why would you want an attacking mid in a team that DOESN'T create many chances? Surely an attacking team is better for attacking players?
This notion that Yaya is a DM is completely untrue and just stubborn methinks, Fernandinho has allowed him to push forward this season and Yaya has proven time and time again that he is an unstoppable force when running with the ball from deep, with an incredible shot and powerful presence, and pens, and he's in form.

Watching the game last night I am fairly confident in owning Silva over Yaya, they both looked very good, but Silva was playing further up the field and could have easily got a goal or assist last night. Aguero coming back will take Yaya off penalties, and I think Silva will outscore him from now on until the end of the season. But I am probably just being optimistic! 😛

I think one of the reasons that Yaya's conversion rate is so ridiculous is that he doesn't take speculative shots - he more or less only shoots if he has a good chance of scoring (contrast that with Barkley, Townsend, etc. whose instinct is to shoot whenever they cross the halfway line).

When we consider YaYa's unbelievable conversion rate, we should take into account his penalty duties and set pieces that rise his conversion rate massively. Okay, this time, even if you take of 2 of those shots that were penalties, his conversion rate was still 100% in these two matches. But, has anybody counted his open play conversion rate this season? How unbelievable is it? I don't know, this is an honest question.
I believe it is still extraordinary, but we should also recall that average conversion rate is around 81% for penalties during match and for free kicks it has been almost 10% in PL this season. Of course, that is pretty high free kick conversion rate. It generally is a bit lower and this is an anomalic season, largely due to one monstrously anomalic YaYa, who until January had converted massive 80% of his free kick shots - so a YaYa free kick has been like an average top professional's penalty! The general rate should probably be somewhere between 5% and 6%. See here:

Anyway, his overall conversion rate is 35,4%. I'm not sure if he still has that 80% free kick conversion rate or not. He probably does not have, because I'm not aware he had scored another free kick since then. Suppose he has tried another direct free kick and missed it and now has converted 4/6. And still those 5/5 penalties.
So, if you remove his 9/11 from set pieces, you will get open play conversion rate of 8/37, which is 21.6%, still good, but not outrageous. It probably is a bit higher, I don't know how many free kicks he really has taken since January 22.Open Controls
