I can't really complain after the GW I've had and the fact City smashed United at Old Trafford, but it is rather annoying that one of my two main rivals in one of my MLs will get Oscar's 16 points of the bench since Januzaj didn't get any game-time!

My rival is getting Lalana off the bench with his 9 points too... The thing is I still think its good fantasy management, we all use our benches from time to time and we all knows it pays to have a decent bench. Just frustrating when it goes against you.

I hate the end of gameweeks, I almost never get points off my bench as I go for sure starters almost all the time - that little (usually) drop in rank at the end when all the auto-subs get applied is such a kick in the nuts.

I'm guessing that's GW29? I put out almost a full team that week, unfortunately it was cack.

No, no. GW26. Didn't field a full team in GWs 26, 28 and 29 thanks to that feckwit Eriksen. 😡

Ouch that will hurt. You sure it wasn't down to having non playing subs and picking players that are not nailed for their teams first 11?

Well GW26 was wind-gate. I had Pozuelo who was playing then fell out of favour and got injured, right when I needed him. Then swapped him for Puncheon who has played every game and was nailed on...right up until GW28, when I needed him. GW29 was by choice.

All of this compounded by the feckwits that are Sherwood and Eriksen.

Yeah you can get on a real bad run with luck in this game alright. How some people carry non playing subs or cheapies with dubious game time for a whole season is beyond me.

I guess you can take solace in being able to afford some top end talent when having those cheapies in your team

Yh that really is a kick in the plums then. I think most who play the game properly were hurt by TV this year due to the unusual propensity of bandwagons that actually turned into logic defying long term points machines. I know I was in that boat post Xmas and ended up having to forego Coleman, yaya and hazard which was quite painful at times.

May as well just write this season off as a freak one and get back on the horse next year

Mata out is my next transfer, pretty obviously...

Leaves me with 9.4m to spend.

Dont want to go for Silva as he frustrates me all the time with not picking up points when he plays great...

Who do you guys think I should bring in?

Could double up with Nasri if you do
Or bring in Mirallas for the DGW he has coming up. Risky though. Not guaranteed game time.

If Everton win their game in hand, they're 3 points behind Arsenal and 4th place...

Martinez is going to do in one season what Moyes could never do.

    An Ode to Yaya :
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,

Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared

It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)

Look all around, there’s nothin?but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies

Just had clarification from UFPL why I could bring Dzeko in....

    Hi Roberto,
If you have a player who is playing twice in a Gameweek, he must be in your starting 11 from the deadline of his team's first Matchday and then for the duration of the Gameweek, in order to earn 2 sets of points.
As stated in the rules, you can only make a Manager Substitution with a player whose team is yet to play in the Gameweek.
If you remove a player whose team is playing twice, after his team's first fixture, you can't then put him back in to your starting 11, as his team has already played in the Gameweek.
You can only score points for 11 players each Gameweek.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards,
    Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Thought it was a bit odd since he didnt play in the first game.

Good morning gentlemen. I've got a tiny conundrum on my Mata out transfer. Who looks the best bet?

    A) Lallana (NEW - mci - CAR - avl - EVE - swa)

    B) Eriksen (liv - SUN - wba - FUL - sto - whu) - Get Eriksen next week

    C) Keep for now and get a DGW 34 midfielder such as Barkley/Mirallas/Nasri

    Cheers in advance!

I think I'll have 3 City and 2 Everton (Kompany, Silva, Yaya, Coleman & Lukaku).

I have Ward but he'll probably be on the bench and Sunderland's DGW fixtures are so bad that they're barely a DGW.

No worries. I might get Demi instead of Komps, depends on their prices next week when I pull the trigger. If there isn't a lot of difference, I might get Kompany for added nailed-on-ness and a just a touch more goal-scoring class.

I guess it it went off the keeper then it would be an assist but it doesn't sit right with me on 1st viewing.

What's the difference between being saved and coming off the post?

I'm just pissed that Rafael tackled Silva brilliantly when he was clean though 🙁

If it comes off the post then no opposition player has touched it and it is more obviously an assist? That's the difference I can make between them.

The ball went 90 degrees. Just a lucky assist then.

What does that have to do with anything? I mean, the angle in which it comes off the post.

Maybe you should explain a little more what is the problem for you with that assist, because at least I cannot understand at all where you're coming from with this. I guarantee you, they have always every single time given the assist if ball comes off the post and the rebound is put in. It can go 270 degrees if you wish and it doesn't matter. There are leagues where the assist would not be given without a direct pass, and opta doesn't give it, but then it is also not given from any other rebound, say from GK, and in PL and particularly in FPL it is given from rebounds. This is just a clearer, more obvious case of assist.

Saves often go 90 degrees too...

Certainly a lucky assist, but equally unlucky not to be a goal.

According to fpl's rules Milner should not get assist from that. At least last season the rule was that it can be assist if it deflects from opposition player as long as the opponent doesn't get it out of the box, but in this case it went outside the box, so it should not be an assist.

Not that it matters much, nobody has Milner.

Obviously. Hit the post and team mate put it in. No opposition player ever touched it in between, so it is an obvious fpl assist and to my understanding also a barclay's premier league assist, even if not an opta assist as they only count direct passes.

Is it me or are there more and more people knee-jerking on this site? - I swear the same people who took out Lallana, Hazard et al for Silva, Sterling and Nolan are looking to reverse their moves a week later!!

not sure whats knee-jerking about moving out non dgw players for dgw players. the only reason is losing money, particularly hazard. personally i didnt lose much on lallana & can easily get him back so its not a problem

      Point chasing - probably….

But Gerrard for 1 week - on pens and feeding a ferocious LIV attack in 2 matches against vulnerable opposition seemed a better move than keeping Lallana for this week vs TOT away.

Considering back to Lallana for next week. Gerrard on 9 yellows….hope he scores big tonight though..

Rank Barkley, Sterling and Snod 1 to 3 for points potential over the next three GWs

Even with Sterling only playing half the time? Norwich have great fixtures with Snod one of the main threats, and Barkley looks to be in great form ...

Could even be 3,1,2 or 3,2,1

Barkley / Mirallas might rotate but a DGW and good fixtures to spread the starts.

Sterling / Coutinho might rotate & 2 tough LIV fixtures (MCI might be high scoring though)

Norwich MUST win at some point in the next 3 matches to ensure they are out of danger…their final matches are desperately difficult. Snodgrass very attacking.
