Allan McGregor is expected for the season with kidney damage. Tim Krul is ruled out for Newcastle’s trip to Southampton. Nathaniel Clyne is sidelined for the Saints. Palace have problems up front ahead of a home clash with Chelsea. David Silva is reportedly a doubt for City’s trip to Arsenal, whilst West Brom’s injury worries ease ahead of a home game against Cardiff:

Hull’s Allan McGregor is likely to be sidelined for the season with kidney damage sustained in Wednesday loss at West Ham. The keeper is currently suspended for two games after being dismissed in the 2-1 defeat but may have played his last match of the current campaign, with Steve Bruce admitting “he’s in a bad way”. The Scot will remain in a Hugh Dependency Unit for another couple of days and should leave hospital in a week’s time.

Arsene Wenger has revealed Aaron Ramsey is expected to return to first-team training next week. Jack Wilshere “needs more time”, though, while Nacho Monreal is expected back in training in the next few days as he steps up his recovery from an ankle injury.

Tim Krul is out “for the next two or three games” with a knee injury, according to Alan Pardew. Newcastle could welcome back Davide Santon, who has returned to training after recovering from illness, whilst Loic Remy is expected back in training on Monday and could be ready for the Gameweek 33 clash with Man United. Alan Pardew is considering handing a start to Hatem Ben Arfa, while Sammy Ameobi remains sidelined for the Magpies.

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Nathaniel Clyne is ruled out of Southampton’s clash against Newcastle with the groin problem that forced him off at Spurs last Sunday. The Saints boss has doubts over Jay Rodriguez, Steven Davis, Morgan Schneiderlin and Victor Wanyama, whilst Kelvin Davis and Maya Yoshida are definitely out – the latter may not feature for the club until next season after sustaining knee ligament damage in training.

In his early Friday morning press conference, Roberto Martinez revealed Phil Jagielka “is now fully fit” ahead of the trip to Fulham.

Tony Pulis remains without Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh for the visit of Chelsea, though the Moroccan is expected to return in time for next week’s crucial clash with Cardiff.

Reports in the Guardian suggest David Silva could be a doubt for City’s trip to Arsenal this weekend. The paper suggests the Spaniard picked up an ankle injury in Tuesday’s win over United and has been receiving treatment over the last couple of days – we’ll be eagerly awaiting Manuel Pellegrini’s lunchtime press conference for an update.

Villa boss Paul Lambert has revealed Andreas Weimann has recovered from the leg problem that forced him off during Villa’s home loss to Stoke last Sunday. Karim El Ahmadi remains doubtful with a thigh problem for the trip to Old Trafford.

Pepe Mel has been handed a boost at the back ahead of West Brom’s vital match with Cardiff. Gareth McAuley has been passed fit after limping out of last week’s loss to Hull and Diego Lugano has made a rapid recovery from a knee problem. Morgan Amalfitano is also available, though Victor Anichebe requires a fitness test on a hamstring problem and Chris Brunt, Claudio Yacob and Billy Jones all remain sidelined for the Baggies.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

        Well, yes actually.
I'm not sure if you know, but you're allowed a maximum of 3 players from each team. When you look at the pictures of the players shirts, if they are the same, it means they play for the same team. So a ruled out Silva this week is worth shifting in order to create room for Aguero in week 34. Quite handy as Rooney blanks. With regards Mirallas, the rotation at Everton Football Club leads me to conclude that despite his team's DGW, it is unlikely he'll feature in both ties. Charlie Adam, on the other hand has favourable fixtures and a history of performing well in the run-in. Barkley is as likely to play as many minutes as Miralles. Furthermore, Hazard could prove dangerous to players like me who have some ambition of finishing with a rank like yours yet do not own him.
So, save your patronizing attitude, kiss my ar*e.

Hey DF. I don't see how much money you have in the bank, but assuming you can't afford a straight swap Silva -> Hazard which would be my first choice with your team.

Mirallas is playing Fulham and didn't play a minute midweek, while I agree getting rid of him might make sense medium-term, I don't think this is the right GW to pull the trigger as Fulham are conceding A LOT of chances and need more than a bore draw if they want to beat the drop. I think they'll (try to) attack.

Honestly not sure what I'd do if Silva is ruled out in your case... what about Rooney & Silva -> Lukaku & Hazard? You get an early jump on Rooney's blank and Lukaku for the DGW which I would strongly recommend with those fixtures. You could also do Silva -> Lallana, pray for Hazard not to explode and be ready for Rooney -> Aguero...

I love when you can stick it to companies. Our UPC bill had gradually increased to up above the €50 we have budgeted for it, Rang them yesterday to see if there was anyway they could do something or switch our plan so that it was back under it again. Was told sorry there's nothing we can do. Had a bit of an investigation there the last while and noticed that only once in the time I've been with them have we gone over 30G download. Went thorugh their plans and spotted one with a 30G limit at €47.

I'll have that please. Go me.

Thanks 🙂 I'm pretty chuffed tbh. A couple of quid over doesn't seem like much but if it means your cutting into other budgets it has a knock on effect. I've saved us €80-90 a yr there just by not taking their no as the final answer. That's an other utility bill right there.

That's all on the domestic front anyway.

True but if they get a season out of him and win the league with the help of his experience (teaching younger LBs, helping to organise the defence) then he could be worth a million quid to them.

Only worth it if they get him cheap though.

I supppose with the extra games we'll have IF we get CL football there's the chance he'll get plenty of game time. JE not exactly made of strong stuff either. I know where you're coming from but I think FSG don't mind spending money on wages but want to keep the transfer budget for people who would still have a sell on price. If we do get Cole and then have JE, Flanagan and Robinson as well to fill in when there's injuries to one the money can be spent elsewhere.

CL football is definitely happening next season! And I can appreciate that the aim is to save a few bob. I'd just have expected something different to be really honest with you, as you say you have Flanagan and Robinson there, JE will be coming back from injury (of course possibility of injury to him) but to me it looks like it'll come at the expense of Flnagan's development. Which in the long term I think is a poor call.
