On another note, it's so frustrating that we have no proper striker up top.
The fact that we’re even at this position is simply a testament to how brilliant Mourinho is. Eto’o has zero away goals, Torres 4 league goals. The mistakes of other players get magnified because our strikers don’t score enough goals. We don’t have a difference maker up top who takes the bull by the horns when the team is not playing well. If our midfielders don’t score (especially away from home) we either lose or draw.
We could have been 10-12 points clear by this stage of the season if we had someone up front who could take his chances.

I don't get it too. Another criticism I’ve had of Mourinho, since the first 3 seasons with us too, was he had his favorites. I define favorites as players who seem to play despite times if their performances do not deserve it. And ordinarily, they were the best players so most fans didn’t even care if even noticed it. But how in the bloody hell Torres got in that list I have no idea.
Torres? I mean Torres? Even Benitez, who had managed Torres in some of the finest performances of his career, had the good sense to play Ba in domestic games and Torres in Europe when we literally have had no alternatives.
The only reason Ba doesn’t start over Torres (and even Eto’o when he looked rusty) is that Ba is a striker that stands back and waits for the midfielders to spring him a movement. Mourinho wants the strikers to move about and do more which Torres and Eto’o are more capable of.Open Controls-
