Because he isn't nailed on. He's been sharing starts with Clichy all season. I can only assume that Pallegrini is trying to be more defensive at the business end of the season. This strategy is largely helped by the fact that they are missing Aguero and might need to rely a little more on clean sheets.

West Ham are very solid defensively at home, if you need to make up ground this isn't a bad week for a captaincy punt. Still though with Liverpool's attacking proficiency at the moment and motivation to win the league they'll surely score, just maybe not a bagful like normal, so if you don't need to make up ground I'd be playing it safe and captaining old mate Luis.

Got 2 free transfers this week, gerrard defo needs to go to make funds for kun. Options for gerrard replacement options with reasoning below
1. Mirallas - scored coming on as a sub and is selfish. Given his form he might start all next 3 games
2. Barkley - suffered a calf problem so could miss out
3. Mutch in for Stevie and Coleman in for r Bennett
Options 1 and 2 allow me 2 ft for gw 35 so I can get rid of Everton players using them.

Eriksen 6.5 - Spurs in poor form. He's in good form since he's come back from injury. Strong fixtures.
Johnson 6.5 - Sunderland awful form. If he plays, scoring points. 2 double weeks to come. Poor fixtures. Sunderland fighting for survival.
Snodgrass 5.9 - Norwich poor form. He's in good form. Next 2 fixtures are good but turns evil.
Schurrle 6.9 - Flair pick? Not guaranteed much game time. Explosive point scorer. Great fixtures.
