The three-day Gameweek begins in earnest at the Etihad where Manchester City will look to close the gap on leaders Liverpool.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side hardly face a gimme: opponents Southampton have arguably been one of the most attractive and accomplished sides this season and arrive off the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle at St Mary’s. Mauricio Pochettino will be confident that his trio of World Cup hopefuls – Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Rickie Lambert – can all cause issues to the City defence, while Pellegrini will take comfort from the fact that his rearguard have conceded just once in six league outings.

This encounter leads almost seamlessly into five three o’clock kick-offs, before Chelsea are the latest side to attempt to close ground at the top when they take on Stoke at the Bridge.

You can look to our Twitter feed for all the news from the team sheets, while our Dugout Discussion room is now open to cater for your real-time chit-chat requirements.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Has Yaya missed a penalty yet? Starting to think Yaya might stay on penalties. Assuming he doesn't how can anyone afford not to go with Kun for their fixture lsit coming up?

I had a complete torn ACL as well. I didn't "realize" I had a torn ACL until 6 months after.

Had my surgery on January last year and now I'm feeling a lot better. Started playing some football.

Hope you recover well soon bro

do you ever fully recover from a torn ACL? genuine question, it's such a horrible injury that it seems like you can never be quite the same again.

you can, but its not common to reclaim your explosive best. Unfortunately, its a pretty bleak one.

For casual playing, which I am pretty much doing, it's still okay.

But yeah it doesn't seem like I can be "fully recovered". It really limits my movement. And there's also the mental block as well.

        cheers man.

My first op was Jan 9th last year, second was Jan 8th this year. Big problem for me was that i mashed the cartilage too.

I had a full ACL reconstruction at 28, now 35, and the ligament is fine and can play football....the main problem since has been the mashed meniscus, get sore and rusty after games, takes days to bounce back, loss of confidence in your ability on the pitch is also a massive hurdle initially
