Manchester United have this morning confirmed the departure of manager David Moyes. After heavy speculation over the last 24 hours, the Scotsman has paid the price for a dire run of results which sees the club sit in seventh place in the Premier League with just four matches remaining:

Sunday’s loss to former club Everton was the eleventh time the champions have tasted defeat in a season that has seen Moyes’ side break records for all the wrong reasons. Whilst United fans will be looking for a fresh start next term, Fantasy managers have more pressing matters on their minds, with the Red Devils set to play three times at Old Trafford in the next two Gameweeks.

Under Moyes, United have won just seven of their 16 home fixtures and scored a mere 22 times – fewer than Stoke and West Ham, for example – but with Norwich, Sunderland and Hull still set to make their way to Old Trafford, they have a chance to finish the season with a flourish.

Our faith in the likes of Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata now looks set to take a turn for the better in light of this breaking news, as the Red Devils attempt to put their toils behind them. It’s believed Ryan Giggs has been placed in temporary charge of first-team affairs as the Old Trafford board looks to quickly draw a line under the unsuccessful tenure of Sir Alex Ferguson’s hand-picked successor, with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Louis Van Gaal, Laurent Blanc and Carlo Ancelotti all amongst the bookies’ early favourites to take the helm.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Team for the next week is:

    Mannone
    Baines Cahill Chester
    Mata Nasri Eriksen AJ
    Suarez Aguero Lukaku

    bench: Azpi - Ward - Noone

    which transfers look better:

    A. AJ ---> Ramsey
    or
    B. Azpi + Lukaku ---> JEvans / Smalling + Rooney (-4)

              Click his profile, he posted his team just before deadline. He was assuming Sterling off the bench for Silva. As this didn't happen I was expecting a "FML I'm so unlucky, I should end it all" post from him.

        I sold Silva for Ramsey on Sunday as thought Palace away was tough and he'd not play both in the double, he gets injured.

        The time to cash in on Toure being out was with Aguero back and him not on pens. But no, everyone jumps off and gets the differential.

        Beavis is right, it's been like this all bloody season for midfield and strikers.

    Turned a bit of a corner over the last couple of week. But now im stumped what to do. Should i play double Chelsea at the back & double Pool further up the pitch. Also my bench & other defenders have poor fixtures. 1 FT 4.9 ITB for the purpose of this we'll assume Silva is spent

    Mannone Davies
    Azpi Cahill Pieters Chester Ward

    Which transfer to take for a hit? Other MIDs are Eriksen and Mata

    A: Silva + Snodgrass ---> Nasri + Ramsey
    B: Silva + Snodgrass ---> Nasri + Sterling
    C: Silva + Snodgrass ---> Ramsey + Sterling
    D: Silva + Lukaku ---> Nasri + Rooney

      Hold onto Snodgrass, he's the key to Norwich's survival.

    Who's best to replace Silva with?

    I already have Hazard, Mata, Sterling and Ramsey.

    Holding onto Hazard as he's still more than I paid for him but Silva is eating into my budget.

    1) Ozil
    2) Nasri
    3) Lallana
    4) Gerrard
    5) Eriksen
    6) Mirallas
    7) Other, please state.

        Just do Lallana to Ramsey and see how Rooney looks before the double, no bench players that could cover Distin?

        I'd get at least the Unlimited one if you listen to a lot of music. Incredible amount of adverts in the free one. Premium has extra features like better quality music I think and you can use it on your phone etc.

      For those of you that didn't keep Yaya, who's buying him (if fit) for the double? My plan was Ramsey and free funds for Lukaku -> Rooney, but...

      I know it won't make any difference to the rumour mill, but Klopp has ruled himself out of the Man United job.

      http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/22/jurgen-klopp-job-manchester-united-moyes-borussia-dortmund

      Dortmund are about to sign Ginter from Freiburg, Klopp has the trust of the BVB board, can trust the board, doesn't have Glazer levels of debt hanging over him, is naturally loyal and knows a good set-up (i.e. Dortmund) when he sees one.
