Hi all. First Post. Long time lurking but would like to join in and hope to contribute and integrate with the community. Would like to ask if anyone agrees that mini league's effect your over all judgement, decisions and team to the extent you should ignore them? Now that you know who your rivals have in their team why should it affect your original judgement of your team? From the percentage owned tab you knew who your rivals might have and that your decisions could hurt you so why not stick to your gut feeling for another week or two?

It's funny, I've only ever once made transfer and lineup decisions based on who I'm playing, and I got knocked out of the last 1000 of the FPL cup because of it. You're spot on with your comment, never make changes based on your next opponent. Always make the transfers that you truly believe will benefit your team the most.

Hi and welcome to the site mate...
I do have some mini leagues with friends but most of them don't take it seriously, so I usually win quite easily... certainly haven't found myself having to make transfers based on what they are doing, since I know I'll beat them in the long term anyway...
I tend to focus more on rank in general and to a lesser extent, the mini leagues I'm in with people of this site, and much better indicator of how well you are actually doing...Open Controls

That could work but LCM and RCM would need to be signed as I don't think they have the players now to fit those roles. Would also need a new CB and RB. Tough ask to get those in the next 2 weeks.

I didn't and had no intention of benching siggy but when I transferred in my last transfers Hutton and fletcher took the place of siggy and eriksen and I never saved the team before exiting last night. Result -9 pts and proper sick feeling for not getting reward for a brave gamble on one big striker two weak striker strategy.

Well, West Brom seemed to be rotating them during friendlys. Baird played every single friendly. Im pretty sure most people (including me) expected him to start. If he didn't start it would have been Yacob. But i was shocked to see neither of them started.

Lesson learned? Ignore Pre-season results and lineups as it is mainly only used to get players fit for the season ahead. Why people don't ever learn I don't know
