The final match of Gameweek 1 arrives this evening as promoted Burnley prepare for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea. The Blues are heavily backed heading into this one, with both Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas currently sitting in more than 20% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams, while up front, summer signing Diego Costa will be looking to grab the goals and strengthen his armband credentials ahead of next week’s home encounter with Leicester:

Certainly, the stage is set for Costa to deliver after a disappointing series of displays from a number of forwards over the weekend, where only one (Saido Berahino) managed double-figure returns.

At the back, Jose Mourinho opts for Thibaut Courtois between the sticks, with Petr Cech relegated to the Blues’ bench. The Chelsea manager keeps faith with the familiar defence that earned 18 shut-outs last term, with new boy Filipe Luis amongst the substitutes.

Don't really understand the people totally abandoning ship on Mata and hailing Fabregas as twice the player after only one gameweek. We've all seen that they both can perform well during pre-season, and for the last few seasons for that matter.

Mata could just as well have had two assists this gameweek with Fabregas blanking. Some people are way to fickle..

      I do rate Hazard as a FPL prospect over both them, truly an unbelievable player. Must try to get him in once he gets going.
      
      Mata could still do well though, and once they get RVP back, he will get a lot of assist. Mata hit in more or less all corners and free kicks in the Swansea game. Once the strikers start getting on the end of those, Mata will be getting the numbers big time.
      
      Fabregas also a marvelous player, unsure on how his role will be though, whether he'll be dropping more down on the field. None of htem bad options though I would say.
