I wouldn't say. People are excited about him, his skills... okay, but goal-wise, he just tapped in an easy ball. Most of the final balls were adressed to... Schuerrle. Costa, judging by this game, is not a lone primary scoring option, and there are so many fowards in Fantasy who are, so I wouldn't give him captain.

My advice, if it's worth anything, is to play the team value game now.

Mata will not significantly outscore Fabregas.
Fabregas showed potential, Mata did not.

If you play the team value game now, you'll reap the rewards later. If all goes to plan i'll just pick up Mata for 8.8 in a couple of weeks if he starts to look good, which I think he will.

Last on previous page, sorry for the repost

Scored 59 this gameweek and my team is looking good going forward. My only concerns are having both Lamela and Jovetic, but I'm thinking of giving them one more chance and saving the transfer, and if it all goes downhill I can just swap them both out without having to take a hit. How does that sound?

So like most people i didnt know who to pick between Mata and Fabregas. Went for Mata. Will give Mata at least another game to show his worth but for me the long term pick is Fabregas.

Chelsea are just so much better than United. Can anyone seriously see Mata outscoring him? I cant.

Wildcarded, what do you guys think of this?

    Forster

    Vlaar / Cahill / Clyne

    Siggy / Sterling / Fabregas / Ramsey

    Pelle / Rooney / Costa

Subs: Krul / Ki / Chester / Dummett

Jumped on the bandwagons that I think will continue to be good value. Hoping Pelle is a big differential GW2.

Midfield is pretty much the same as everyone elses.

If it's just the bench, make sense. Price will rise, sell him when everyone else does. It's good. I don't have bench players and guess what, I had a very weak week (35) and great bench (Siggy, Hangeland, Clyne). I guess it's better to have just 11 and bench to make money.

There are some better options to score, for sure. That guy today from Burnley, Taylor? Guy is pretty brave, a main chance creator, he can get more assists. There are guys like that, offensive midfielders from weaker teams. Surely will get more points than Ki throughout season...

Link to Koeman saying he wants a winger.. Gonzalez from Lazio for 8m on his watchlist. May/May not affect the JWP wagon. Morgan and Wanyama and Tadic got to play. They just spent loads on long so you gotta expect him to start at some point.. Pelle should continue unless he looks crap. then you have New winger, Davis and JWP for one spot. and not to forget Taider.. Oh jeez!!

JWP looks very promising but he is definitely not guaranteed game time. I am playing the odds and tend not to favour players who regularly play 60-75 mins even if they're starting more games than not. As a 2-3 gw cheap punt, JWP is decent.

If his price looks like it's going to drop though then surely it's safer to swap to another 9? If he shows form then you can always swap back?

Otherwise I'd agree, i still think Mata will come good.
