Saturday’s schedule concludes with the headline act. Arsenal make the trip to Goodison Park looking to build on the stuttering 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on the opening day. The Toffees meanwhile, will also be looking to improve on their first showing, having been pegged back to 2-2 by newly promoted Leicester a week ago.

Arsene Wenger rings the changes with a few surprises. He welcomes back two of his German contingent as Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker return to the starting lineup. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also starts, while Nacho Monreal comes in for Kieran Gibbs at the back. Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielney drop to the bench, with Calum Chambers retaining his start at the back. Olivier Giroud again starts from the bench with Alexis Sanchez set to be fielded in a central attacking role.

Roberto Martinez also tweaks his lineup with Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas drafted in – John Stones and Aiden McGeady make way.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I suppose the only good news for Costa is that Drogba look like he'd lost most of his pace and Torres is Torres. So he should at least keep his place and two in two ain't bad.

Also deadline day that week, so there'll be a few new players.

I probably will do - didn't make a transfer last this week, and probably making one this week, so will have two in the bank.

Have two now, so I might save one.

Although, I'm guessing that many key WC players will be excused after their long summer & the younger kids will get a run.

For example, how would Germany or Argentina truly benefit if they recalled Ozil or Kun?

Legit question alert! Legit question alert!

Assuming my 3rd striker, Diouf, does F all tomorrow, he's the player I want out most and I want to free up some cash.

Say what you want about my mids but I plan to start them every week so my 3rd fwd can afford to be bench fodder most weeks (Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Eriksen, Siggy)

SO...the question is...is Naismith nailed on as long as Barkley is out? Osman isnt a threat to play CAM? If Osman isn't a threat, wouldn't Nasmith at 5.0 be a decent 4-6 gw investment.

And even when barkley comes back, its not like I have to rush to get naismith out since, as I said already, he's normally a bench option anyway, not a vital starter.

Have I convinced the community to free up 1.5 by doing Diouf -> Naismith. Extra cash can upgrade terry to ivanovic and L Moore to a 5.0, probably Clyne.

If you read all of this, thank you.

I honestly don't know for sure, I would think so, given he's played well end of last season as well. But does it matter? If your front 7 are nailedish on the extra mil might give you a better defender somewhere.

Agreed. Arsenal have a bunch of nippy, agile, crafty midfielders but they struggle to get into the game without a physical forward up top to link it all together. Giroud doesn't need to score every game, he just needs to create space for their midfielders to score.
