The Dugout Discussion – Sunday

Sunday serves up a trio of Gameweek encounters, with Thursday’s Europa League ties pushing Hull and Tottenham’s home fixtures alongside Man United’s trip to the Stadium of Light.

Events begin at the KC Stadium and White Hart Lane, with Steve Bruce’s Hull hosting Stoke and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs facing a London derby clash with QPR. Fantasy managers will be focused mainly on the latter, with Christian Eriksen the top owned asset on show from the early kick-offs.

Attention then turns to the North East, with Louis van Gaal’s United outfit taking on Sunderland in a bid to get their season underway following the opening day defeat to Swansea. With a staggering 48% ownership, Wayne Rooney remains the headline act, while Juan Mata’s 19% ownership will be holding out for returns in order to stem a tide of sales that have already seen the Spanish playmaker drop in price.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Time to reach into your deep pockets Ed Woodward. Vermaelen would have been a good leader for the backline...

this is the problem...we keep targeting players he won't come and then in the end all we have are over priced individuals

We should have bid £30m for him before the World Cup, if it gets turned down, fine, look for someone else.

It's not fine...coz once a player turns you down, the price of second target player become a tad more expensive

yet another goal where there isn't a defender on each post. so many goals conceded lately because of this. ramos vs ath Madrid champ league final, hull goal vs arsenal fa cup final. I don't understand why managers don't do it? even sunday league pub teams have man on each post
