As always, our first members article of the week delves into the data from the previous batch of fixtures. This time around, the displays of Chelsea’s wide men, Liverpool’s lone forward, Southampton’s new playmaker and the Hammers’ attacking improvement all come under analysis.
-
WHUFC starting XI: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Potts, Burke, Reid (c), Poyet, Morrison, Diame, Vaz Te, Valencia, Sakho
-
subs: Spiegel, Page, Oxford, Noble, Downing, Zarate, Lee
-
-
bego > mannone or krul?
-
I would go for Krul as better fixtures. Best to wait until after the games tonight in case any injuries.
-
-
NUFC: Krul; Janmaat, S.Taylor, Coloccini (c), Haïdara; Sissoko, Abeid; Obertan, de Jong, Aarons; Rivière.
-
Elliot, Dummett, Anita, Cabella, Gouffran, Perez, Ferreyra.
-
Interesting, wonder why Dummett has been benched.
-
-
dummet rested for palace
-
One hopes 🙂 He's been a decent find.

-

-
-
Swansea: Tremmell, Tiendalli, Bartley, Fernandez, Richards, Fulton, Carroll, Sheehan, Dyer (C), Montero, Gomis.
-
Bony rested, nice.
-
Fabianski, Amat, Taylor, Ki, Sigurdsson, Shelvey, Bony.
-
B team
-
Except Fernandez (new season)
-
-
-
Hmm having used the comparison tool I am now thinking whether to get Jovetic rather than Ade...
Is Jovetic the real deal? Is he still too rotation prone?-
Real deal Holyfield.
-
You think he is?
-
That's what I said. 😀
-
Just checking!
-
-
2 goals aside, he only had one header which went wide. He also only created 1 chance. What's so amazing about the stats?
-
-
Agree, stats wise and performance wise.
-
-
I'd say he's both.
-
A rotation prone real deal?
-
As of the minute he isn't a rotation threat. I'm 99.9% certain he will start against Stoke
-
Cheers. Sorely tempted now. Save 0.6 as well.
-
-
-
-
The Real McCoy
-
-
time to get rid of Chambers, any suggestions?
Krul/Bego
Clyne/Taylor/Cahill/Debuchy -
Saints: Forster, Clyne, Fonte (c), Yoshida, Targett, Wanyama, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Isgrove, Long, Pellè.
-
Subs: K. Davis (GK), Gardos, Ramírez, Tadić, Taïder, Cork, Stephens.
-
Koeman basically playing his best team in League Cup. What a muppet.
-
Bertrand, Gardos, Morgan, Tadic on the bench though. 3-4 changes.. similar to most teams above.
-
Not sure Gardos is ready yet. Seems like Southampton should have more kids to blood in.
-
-
Suppose e wants to get Pelle and Long firing.
-
-
Tadic rested, get in
-
Keeping an eye on Isgrove... great talent
-
-
My gut is telling me to captain Caulker this week.
I don't think I can follow through, but this bodes well for his prospect of opening his goal scoring account for QPR. Had the same feeling ahead of Townsend's cross shot last season, a week which I actually did cap him.
Stay strong Caulker owners, stay strong.-
This is very reassuring. Thanks!
-
I found comfort in this, strangely. Let's hope he rewards our patience!
-
It's gonna be difficult to swallow his price drop but gonna take it on the chin. Sticking and trying to stay strong!
-
-
Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial 57s
BREAKING: We've reached agreement with Hull City for the transfer of Michael Dawson. #ThankYouDaws-
Time to sell Alex Bruce
-
Bruce wagon derailed.
-
Will he start ahead of Chester when Hull play 2 CBs?
-
-
Welp, this lineup hasn't done much for me (despite the resident faithful contingent complimenting it, heh), any ideas? 2FTs this week
DDG/Gilks
Cahill-Dummett-VaAn-Caulker-Debuchy
Arnie-Eriksen-Mata-Ramsey-Sig
Rooney-Bojan-Costa
Over the long run, I probably need to find replacements for Caulker, Arnautovic and Bojan, Debuchy and maybe Eriksen. What do you guys think? -
Taylor, colochini or PVA? have to pick 2 of them.
-
Colo and PvA
-
-
Who do I bench? Open to all suggestions.
Im happy with my team at this point (only change I look to make is Mata - Di Maria when possible and wildcard is active so thats no problem)
Im currently going with
Krul (myhill)
Hutton - Blackett - Clyne - Dummett (Dier)
Sigurdsson - Fabregas - Mata - Ramsey (Sterling)
Rooney - Jovetic [c] (Naismith)-
Naismith, Blackett, Dier
-
Surly united are gonna sort it out soon, a clean sheet against Burnly is a must. If Blackett doesn't play he wont get subbed on so Sterling will come on in that case anyway? Seems smarter than starting Sterling against a confident Spurs.
-
-
-
Nooooo why is Clyne playing?
-
Cos he's a footballer
-
Banter
-
exactly 😉
-
-
-
-
Leicester: Hamer, Konchesky, Moore, Taylor-Fletcher, Knockaert, Mahrez, Wasilewski, Pearson, Cain, Wood, Watson.
-
Subs: Smith, Morgan, King, Schlupp, Hopper, Barmby, Nugent
-
no albrigthon
-
Rested for a hattie at the week-end
-
Rested surely. Only had a cameo appearance at the weekend.
-
-
-
is Colo overkill as a Chambers replacement if I intend on getting Krul for Begovic as well? if so was liking the look of PvA, he gets forward a lot
-
I've Krul and am transferring in Colocccini too tonight after the game if he survives 😀
-
I think I MIGHT take a hit to do Begovic + Chambers > Krul + Colo this week..Begovic surely won't get more than 1 or 2 points vs City and with the rest of my defense being Azpi, Kolarov, Hutton and Baird it's possible I can't even field 3 defenders if Chambers doesn't play!
would be a -4 that really just needs to score 4 or 5 points between the pair to be worth it
-
-
Get PVA.
-
-
Burnley: Gilks, Trippier, Long, Shackell (c), Ward; Kightly, Jones, Arfield, Wallace; Sordell, Barnes.
-
Gilks! get that starting spot in the PL too! 😉
-
Would be lovely. Heaton does look poor.
-
lovely indeed
-
-
-
Subs: Heaton, Duff, Reid, Mee, Taylor, Ings, Jutkiewicz.
-
-
Is Jovetic really protected or is that a glitch?
-
glitch
-
glitch i think
-
-
Who is the best option long term?
A. Huth
B. Wilson
C. Cameron
Please don't recommend a payer that is non-Stoke, my budget it 4.9
(Repost)-
Wilson
-
-
No Albrighton hmmm
-
Did my wildcard...is ballotelli too much of a gamble?
Hart
Coleman, dier, ivanovic
Ramsey, sterling, siggy, fabregas
Ballotelli, Naismith, costa
Subs - myhil, Hutton, wisdom, catermole
Thoughts please?-
forward spots are precious, not worth a gamble imo
-
Not sure I would want such an expensive keeper
Don't know exact figures, but his points per pound would have been lower than many of the cheaper keepers last year, that extra million or mill and half could be valuable to swap ballo to say aguero without much shuffling
-
-
Should I do Bojan to Naismith now or wait until Friday night?
-
Do it now
Everton has no midweek game -
you'll lose 0.2 by waiting.
Money is going to have a considerably increased importance this year by the looks.-
Cheers, guys. I'm doing it.
-
I am happy to pretend Naismith is 5.5 already and that way I can wait till after the Chelsea game
-
-
Tsk tsk
-
Why this year more than others? What's the theory on this?
-
-
-
So whats the plan Dzeko owners? Still feel like hes worth hanging onto when it seems fairly likely he'll start at the weekend
-
Just done Dzeko > Jovetic.
Could do with the extra 0.5m and also he might rise whilst D is likely to fall.-
Would you still do it if Dzeko was cleared to play?
I have bigger Young's to fry..-
Probably not. Ditch Young first.
-
Thanks
-
-
-
High five...me too
-
-
Keeping unless deffo ruled out by Pelly
-
-
What to do with Dzeko?
I have 2 FT and no other pressing issues
Adebayor, Jovetic, Bony are some of the options-
any confirmation of Dzeko's injury?
-
he is not injured

Dzeko's injury not too bad, just a knock, which is great news. (via @DTguardian)
