Posted this earlier, but in case u haven't seen...
Wrote this article on Costa last night, might interest you...
http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/toby.bryant/1278034/what-makes-diego-costa-so-unplayable-
I'm just interested in the "he sees the channels" point. Can you explain that further? I haven't watched him that way till now, might have to start... You think he's something like a Thomas Muller then in that way?
Interesting aspect, till now I thought that mou(&fab) is just using his great finishing with others opening the channels (schürrle, haz).
Well thx for the input 🙂-
Hey, hope it's not too late.
The channels are in between the defenders. Costa runs between the centre backs, this is so effective because of his timing. It basically means a ball can be played through the defence and he has a 'path' to run through. It also means the two defenders he runs between are confused as to who picks him up. If u watch one of his goals from the weelend u will see it clearly, hope it helps!-
Yea didn't have a chance to see them yet.

good man you would give that Graham Hunter guy a run for his money. Similar style of writing.
-
-
Janmaat owners.
What's the point in owning Janmaat if Newcastle look gash and can't keep a clean sheet...-
This
-
i am asking myself this. praying Pardiola gets his jotters this week
-
right now newcastle are about as useless as a marzipan dildo.
-
There isn't one.
-
-
Current defensive players are Krul, PVA, Colo, Chester, Wisdom, Duff.
Have 1.8 ITB and want to upgrade someone, probably Krul or Colo to avoid double NEW.
Thoughts? Was thinking Colo > Bertrand or Krul > Bego.-
Good tranfers but clyne over bert for me
-
You think? Bert seems to have better attacking stats so far?
-
Clyne will be a season scorer as far as defenders go
-
-
-
-
Hazar' and Austin ➡ ADM and Welbeck, -4. Yay or Nay?
-
Make it Adm and Pelle and I'm in.
-
No mon, no fun
-
-
-
Hopefully now Utd turn a corner , too much quality in that team not to come good,
Adm/Herrera/mata/Rooney/Rvp and Danny Blind my motm today.-
his name is Daley not Danny
-
Blind Herrera ADM will save them from being shit. Sorry midfield there
-
Solid! ***
-
Right first time ... 😆
-
🙂

Done Terry > Baines..... still 1FT and 1m itb
Lucky Terry hasnt dropped yet and Baines previously had, made a nice .1 there! -
what to do with mata? do you think he will be the one to drop out? he played really well today and united seemed weaker when he came off.
-
keep for now I reckon
-
I think I'm gonna get rid for di Maria for free
-
-
Is it worth having CHE player on a WC?
-
is it worth breathing?
-
Of course.
-
Costa, yes
-
Erm yes?
-
I meant a defender. Ooops
-
No then. Waste of budget right now. Ivan won't score every week
-
-
-
-
Must see movies from 2014?
Got some catching up to do.-
we're the millers
Inbetweeners 2-
Inbetweeners 2.... no imo
-
I loved it. So much better than the first.
-
-
-
Wolf of Wall St
-
Guardians of the galaxy, 100%
-
Great film, funny to
-
Really? Saw Expendables this weekend instead.
-
Wow, poor decision.
Guardians of the galaxy isnt a film for just kids, it's excellent.-
Fair enough, might have a look.
-
-
-
-
planet of the apes 2
-
This.
-
-
Cheers all.
-
Blue Ruin
Locke
Jodorowskys Dune -
Short Term 12, but that might be 2013
Boyhood
X-Men: Days of Future Past
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
and maybe Godzilla -
GOTG
Wolf of Wallstreet
Attack on titan( Not a movie but one of the greatest anime ever made) -
Nebraska was great think it was 2013 though.
The new planet of the apes film was good.
Oh and "The grand seduction" with Brendan Gleeson in it is a quirky type of film -
Watched the guest the other week. Pleasantly surprised. Very similar to Drive.
-
-
Which two out of:
Duff - Sunderland home
PVA - Burnley away
Naylor - Southampton home
Clyne - Swansea away-
Duff, PVA.
Can see a 0-0-
Mmm could be a good tip. Thanks!
-
-
-
Best defender for next week? £5.8m
-
dont buy for only 1 week
-
-
Bemba Da link to Debuchy 2 months? thought he'd be back by the weekend the way he posted on Facebook 😯 .. may have to do Debuchy to Duff sooner than expected by the looks of it
-
Wenger presser tomorrow, injury looked bad
-
-
Either way it does not look like he'll be back for the weekend 🙁 (Was clutching at straws) . Looks like he goes before terry then.. cheers mate.
-
-
-
not confirmed yet, I would wait for wenger press conf or confirmation from club
-
cheers... hope he survives the drop tonight. somehow doubt it though
-
-
-
-
Ivan > Coleman (c). Thoughts?
-
Baines over Coleman
-
No
-
Pause - rewind.
-
Fab to Ramsey then?
-
-
-
Herrera or Chadli?
is Herrera worth the extra cash?-
Yeah probably worth it in my opinion
-
both feel a bit poor mans. I would go Chadli as he is the more attacking
-
He'll play deeper at times then he did today so Chad for me
-
Chadli. By a LONG way, imo.
-
-
Krul Foster
Terry Caulker Colo Kelly PVA
Hazard Ramsey Siggy Sterling JWP
Costa Rooney Naismith
Priorities?
1FT and 1.1 itb -
A) Mata -> Siggy
B) Ramsey -> Siggy
C) Cahill -> 5.5-6m defender (who ?)
D) Save FT
Krul
Cahill / Clyne / PVA
Ramsey / Mata / Sterling / Fabregas
Rooney / Costa / Naismith
(Guzan / Boyd / Moore / Wisdom)-
D
-
-
I meant is it worth having a CHE defender on a WC???
-
I took mine out when I WC'ed this GW. Luckily it was Terry as well.
-
Yes, Ivan is a season keeper
-
if i was picking the team next week he would be getting left out. defensive shambles on Saturday. Don't need that away to City next week
-
-
-
1 FT, what to do??
Krul
Cahill/Hutton/Taylor
Haz/Sig/Ramsey/Sterling
Naismith/Costa/Rooney
Foster - Henderson - PVA - Chester-
If you don't know then save. Hutton out if you must.
-
Sit on hands
-
Best longterm defender to replace Cahill?
-
-
-
Im going to WC this week, is it worth not including a UTD player to have this team, would give me more time to see who is the best pick of the many UTD options:
Bego, Gilks
Clyne, Taylor, Duff, Lovren, Wisdom
Fabregas, Chadli, Sterling, Ramsey, Siggy
Aguero, Costa, Naismith-
Wisdom?
Pelle would be nice, gonna have tough time benching someone.
-
-
Clyne or Bertrand chaps?
-
Bertrand
-
Clyne, imo.
-
Depends if you'll need that 0.2m
-
How so, Doos?
-
-
Clyne, better player, more attacking.
-
Check the stats DM.
-
-
-
Jove to Costa, Ramsey to Chadli
or
Aguero to Costa, Jove to Pelle ?
any suggestion? Thanx-
If you haven't got Costa, get him!
-
1st one, and keep Kun
-
looks like that's the plan
-
Well of course, that is what I'm trying to figure out here 😀 the point is how?
-
-
-
Went far too differential with my attackers on my WC.
Aguero
Adebayor
Hazard
Least I had Costa but I'm now lagging behind.-
All good picks though, wouldn't fret it.
-
-
Looks like late transfers this week.
Need to find a Debuchy replacement with current defence of Clyne, Ferd, Moore and Chester.
Someone cheaper but they would play most games.
Any ideas?-
Duff, Chambers?
-
Guess it would be Chambers. Guess I'll look around.
-
Transfer waiting to happen if that's ok with you.
-
-
-
Taylor maybe
-
This. Rotates with Chester.
-
Oh I have Chester might make this move myself
-
-
-
PVA or Chambers
-
-
It seems that slow price changes should force us to avoid bandwagons and think longterm. Moreover it makes defence more important as a differential as we'll all end up with the same midfielders soon . Thinking to buy ivanovic baines and zabaleta and keep them till the end no matter what... Seems safer than chasing attacking players every week...
-
Best defender to bring in up to 6 mil?
Already have pva, Clyne, ntaylor.
Am thinking rojo, rafeal, moreno or bertrand?-
Rafael
-
moreno
-
Manquillo
-
-
Mata looked like he was in the box more than anyone today, would be interested to see a heatmap
-
#members
-
Not heat map but average position of mata
-
-
Krul/Foster combo looks like a pile of dog poo now. Begovic has had one cleanie (away to City really)
Are there any good budget options?-
bego has been so frustrating. defence is good but they concede 1 silly goal each time. whereas other teams get hammered one week but keep a cleanie the next so its still more pts. It's annoying me a lot as i also souble on them!
-
Disappointed by Bego's pts so far, I'm keeping for now and hope Stoke tighten up.
-
-
Jones state of affairs. 5.5. advice pls. thnx. chance of dropping tonite.
1. Keep as i can bench him until he return; risk loosing .3 till then, and use FT to upgrade F o Mid
2.> Clyne 5.2
3.> Bertrand 5.0
4.> Alderweireld 5.0
5.> NTaylor & save some coin for future transfers
6.> Wilson " "
rest of def: cahill - duff - moore - wisdom-
Naylor - Swans fixtures look good
-
cheers mate. I was about to p;ress the button, thn toom a 2nd thot on saving the extra .7 from Clyne 5.2 to Naylor 4.5 right? those .7 could come in handyn when i need to upgrade to welbeck/pelle, adm, or aguero, no?
-
-
-
Can someone answer my username please
-
Because Ashley gave him a 7 year contract
-
-
Surely Debuchy > Chambers is a simple swap, cheap way into Ars defence and then gives extra mil to upgrade to a City/Che DEF or Baines
-
Transfer waiting to happen is the only problem, are Monreal / Gibbs a threat ?
I know positions and all that. -
shackell is another option
-
