I have 1 FT up my sleeve this week with no real issues that need attention.

      1) Dier (WBA) > Duff (SUN) to free up 1.4 and make the most of Duff's price rise

      2) Balotelli > Adebayor (maximise points return)

That Naismith pick is becoming less and less flattering every time I see it. He did hit form and may still score but with Boyd you are telling yourself that Naismith is definitely your 3rd striker. I don’t like a 5.4 forward being a reliable force. When Eto’o shows up then what?

      Sometimes I hate FPL.

Me: No Costa, Caulker's 0 points on for Chester, Balotelli (C), brought in Sterling for Mata, Terry's own goal... 43 points. Dropped from 5k to 120k.

Main rival: Costa, ADM (C), Eriksen, Ward's CS, Tadic.. 90 points.

What have I learnt from this GW? It's too early to take risks with the captaincy, and I need to stop trying to be too clever by overthinking things (I should've got Costa straight back in).

Sorry for complaining DZers. Time for me to get my season back on track. 🙂

Tough luck this week, but you're still at a very decent rank.

One thing I've learned is to only look forward and not in the past. Mistakes were made, but they can be reconciled by making informed, smart decisions in the final 34 gameweeks.

120k is still very good at this stage!

Agree... My 1st three week were ruined because of captaincy decisions and Ade(this week) is my highest scoring captain till date. Nothing to gloat, but I went from 2.3m rank to 1.3m because of Eriksen/Tadic and probably Costa, it was more of a luck imo.
Never play with captaincy decisions, atleast in first half 🙂

Innsie - by risk, if you are talking about the rumors of Sterling being rested, you are right. Other than that, Sterling was an excellent choice. Your friend lucked out a bit by captaining a player we didn't know for sure would start.

Every week there are normally 2 or 3 solid choices for the armband, this week several more with so many of our picks with home games. Who gets you the points from the short list is in the hands of the Gods; it's down to luck.

I normally make up my mind during the week and walk away from the computer. Often the worst time to make the final decision is Saturday morning when doubts start to creep in and you lose sight of why you picked x player over y player.

Things will even out over the season. Chin up, son!

ADM looks amazing it has to be said... so you'd think he'd have to be favourite...

Saying that, Ramsey is never far away from a goal or assist, and I think he'll be just as consistent... Pelle looks good too with their great run of fixtures...

It's really tough, do you plan to keep Rooney?

It's really tough to separate them...

I'll be keeping Rooney, yes. None of the big defenders are attracting me atm so I'm leaning towards a cheaper defence that rotates well. Then I'll go into this week with a Costa - Rooney - Adebayor frontline, so it gives me a couple of weeks to see if Pelle (or Welbeck) is the real deal.

If I go down this route then it's pretty much a straight decision between ADM and Ramsey as money isn't much of a problem... Whichever I pick I'll be able to afford something like Adebayor + Rooney > Pelle/Welbeck + Aguero when the time is right...

              1. Christina.

I've read somewhere that the formation that spurs play leads to lots of interchanging between Erik/Lamela/Ade.

Ade not always the furthers forward.

                Maybe look into that.

I guess it makes sense then to ride the next 4 United fixtures... ADM can be swapped if and when United start drying up, at which stage Rooney will be enough cover, and Ramsey/Walcott will be beggin for your attention...

Also gives us time to make sure Pelle is the real deal in terms of consistent points scoring...

The only thing that worries me is if I drop Ramsey and he scores well... 42% ownership is crazily high and a Ramsey goal means I'm starting the week ~9 points behind everyone else...

I think I'm extra worried about this as I've experienced single-handedly how much it affects your rank when a widely-owned player (Costa in my case) does well when you don't have him.

Riding the United fixtures then swapping in a few weeks is a good plan though... I'll mull it over 🙂

Maybe we are lucky and an injury in the CL forces our hand.

My fear is ADM will turn into another Cesc and keep on hurting me with pts and TV until I get him.

With lot of choice in midfield in the 8-9.5 price bracket, this season is turning out to be interesting. But I feel that none of the MFs are captain material. Personally burned my fingers with Ramsey and Sterling in last 2 weeks. Di Maria looks like an assist machine same with Fab so I don't think they will be explosive enough. Unless one is willing to take a punt on Siggy or one of the Spurs MFs (never punt on captaincy) the captain choice will be a simple case of choosing one premium striker. To do well teams need to have 2 out of Costa/United/ Aguero.

Sorry for rambling but this is my two bits. Any counter thoughts?

        Agree-

Looking to end up shortly with

        Di Maria/Sterling/Siggy/Fab/ 5.5ish
        Costa/Welbeck/Aguero

If Aguero has a favorable fixture captain him, if not leave on Costa

I think looking at the way Chelsea are playing there is no point going for premium defenders. Soton, Swansea and then cheapies is how I am trying to reshape my defence. Although I have terry still but will remove him when I have a FT to spare.

I do think that United defence will do well with Blind in front of them. That's why Jones injury is such a pain.

The problems with some of these stats are most of the teams are screwed once they faced Chelsea. Eg Swans/Everton etc

Mun looks defensively ok, but they have only faced Burnley/Qpr/Sun

        Wow that is quite surprising.

I guess since they have heaps of pace from Routledge and Dyer they're a very counter attacking team... Two of their games were away at United and Chelsea though, so that's something else to consider.

So I still play 3-4-3 this week: Evans, Moreno, _____?

I think people will say Naylor but CS odd favour WIlson (surprised)

Unless they all whack a goal or get an assist there are going to be losers in both camps.

Good chance to take a punt and bench your Soton crew!

Yeah possibly, but what to do with Naylor/Clyne. Both have attacking potential.

I'd prefer to go with the Saints option unless you can use the extra money elsewhere to better effect.

I had toyed with that idea but I'm comfortable playing a Southampton defender/GK every week, but not a Burnley one.

Blimey I wouldn't trust Burnley's fixtures. They are set to fight relegation all season.

I know, but Im going for a 4.5m keeper. At the moment It's Krul, and with all respect i can see them without a manager very soon.

Burnley play 7 of next 12 at home. Of the other 5 games, 4 are:

              leic/wba/qpr/stoke

              Ars(a) only top side.

I will take my chances I think.

As it stands I have Aguero, Costa & Rooney up front. Normally I'd be very excited with those 3 but for some reason I'm not. Maybe it's the fixtures this weekend but at least I have 3 regular/viable
captaincy options. It's between Aguero & Rooney for the armband this weekend. Any help in making my decision would be welcomed !!!

I'd go for Rooney and hope that Utd are playing like they were last week.

Have a feeling City v Chels will be a tight game

Yep, good transfer. Then if Chester doesn't win his spot back next week he can become Naylor/Lovren.

      Begovic
      Terry, PvA, Dier
      Ramsey, Sterling, Fábs, Siggy, JWP
      Costa, Rooney

      (Gilks, Jovetic, S.Taylor, Wisdom)

Jovetic > Pelle, Ulloa or Welbeck?

      Opinions appreciated.

Yeah been absent with work and girl troubles 😉
They just don't get Fantasy football.

Might go Pelle as Welbeck aint done much yet.

Which of these is a bigger priority?

      (A) Terry to Betrand.
      (B) Chester to Chambers/Wilson.
