Thoughts?
Moya/Rubinho
Alaba/Jedvaj/Moreno/Manolas/Danilo
Fabregas/Kagawa/Sterling/Xhaka/Do nas...
Lenwagoalski/Messi/RonaldoLooks pretty good to me, I don't play UCL but that team looks great on paper!
Will Moya start over Oblak?
Why wouldn't he?
Sorry, read into this after I posted. Don't follow La liga, so I just assumed the higher-priced lad would be starting... All clear now.
is Do Nascimiento going to play?
I have no idea about him. He is cheap and has high ownership so I assume so
What move would you make?
Most of my players have away games this gw, feels strange
Forster Mccarthy
Naylor PIETERS clyne moreno moore
Boyd aDM fabs sterling siggy
BALO costa pelle
1FT, 1.2You can save
Rarly manage to save an FT, seems so boring 🙂
everyone is that way that looks like a really good team. make Pieters >Shawcross maybe.QPR have 1 goal.
Yeah... That pieters injury spoils everything, hope he is fit for the weekend!
Going to bed , before I go just would like to say it's always a pleasure reading on here this time of night , even if I don't contribute I still read or scan and take in all the stats and sensible opinions and arguments , always decent people on too , good stuff 🙂 good night people
good night mate! nice to hear 🙂
Good on you mate ... glad to have your company!
Hatty dreams!Nice to hear. GN
Night u irons
My starting 11 if I do Ivano to Baines ftw...
Feel I have earned a few responses tonight haha
.Bego
Baines. Duff. Moreno
Siggy(c). Fab. Sterling. DiMaria
Costa. Aguero. NaismithI wouldn't sell Ivanovic. Baines doesn't measure up at all according to the stats. Might be a more worth doing for GW8 though.
Any of these transfers make sense or stick? or do both for a hit?
a. hazard to sanchez
b. ivanovic to bainesB
I'm going to capt Baines. Don't take the hit. Hazard played great, just no pts.
None of them are worth doing. Sideways moves at best.
^ agree with this
sideways? So just do ivanovic to baines??
Do nothing
I have 1 FT up my sleeve this week with no real issues that need attention.
1) Dier (WBA) > Duff (SUN) to free up 1.4 and make the most of Duff's price rise
2) Balotelli > Adebayor (maximise points return)1) Then use the cash to upgrade Balotelli to someone decent next week.
got Adebayor bad fixtures coming. Balotelli's are sweet. Not for one game IMO.
No united cover. No FT.
Is balo to Rooney worth -4?Probably, then captain him.
Really have a feeling about ade (c) but Rooney also good option.
The key with Rooney is that he's a good long term option. Best United attacker to have I believe
Cheers.
which would you capt.?
a) Adebayor
B) BainesA
How did the old phrase go?
"Baines - never bench, never captain"
Just WC and can't decide if it's too template or not. Any ideas/thoughts would be much appreciated:).
Fabs, Myhill
Shawcross, Clyne, Duff, (Baird, Chambers)
Ramsey, Sterling, Di Maria, Fabs
Costa, Naismith, Aguero
Once again any help is awesome! Thanks!and boyd in midfield.... haha
That Naismith pick is becoming less and less flattering every time I see it. He did hit form and may still score but with Boyd you are telling yourself that Naismith is definitely your 3rd striker. I don’t like a 5.4 forward being a reliable force. When Eto’o shows up then what?
Either play 352 with an super midfield that you will play every week or beef up Naismith some how.
Baird to Moore. I'd also be tempted to go Ramsey to Siggy so I could upgrade Naismith to welbeck/pelle
Does anyone know why Herrera didn't get an assist on the ADM free kick?
I guess no one knows 🙂
Sometimes I hate FPL.
Me: No Costa, Caulker's 0 points on for Chester, Balotelli (C), brought in Sterling for Mata, Terry's own goal... 43 points. Dropped from 5k to 120k.
Main rival: Costa, ADM (C), Eriksen, Ward's CS, Tadic.. 90 points.
What have I learnt from this GW? It's too early to take risks with the captaincy, and I need to stop trying to be too clever by overthinking things (I should've got Costa straight back in).
Sorry for complaining DZers. Time for me to get my season back on track. 🙂Captaining Costa probably every week til the end after this week
Tough break innsie
I got Costa straight back in, which resulted in a hit, but looking back I'm gld I did...
Chin up Cap'n... your fortunes will turn next week...UCL advice please!
My team:
Moya Handanovic
Ivanovic Moreno Jedvaj Lichtsteiner X
Sterling Fabregas Bellarabi Brahimi X
Messi Ronaldo X
A) Miranda, Do Nascimento*, Martinez
B) Ramos, Pogba, Talisca
C) Back to the writing board
*=wont playreply fail:(
Tough luck Innsie 🙁
Tough luck this week, but you're still at a very decent rank.
One thing I've learned is to only look forward and not in the past. Mistakes were made, but they can be reconciled by making informed, smart decisions in the final 34 gameweeks.
120k is still very good at this stage!Agree... My 1st three week were ruined because of captaincy decisions and Ade(this week) is my highest scoring captain till date. Nothing to gloat, but I went from 2.3m rank to 1.3m because of Eriksen/Tadic and probably Costa, it was more of a luck imo.
Never play with captaincy decisions, atleast in first half 🙂Cheers guys, onwards and upwards from here 🙂
Had a similar GW myself. FPL is full of weeks like this, sometimes things just don't go your way. Best just to forget about it and look forward to the next GW.
Innsie - by risk, if you are talking about the rumors of Sterling being rested, you are right. Other than that, Sterling was an excellent choice. Your friend lucked out a bit by captaining a player we didn't know for sure would start.
Every week there are normally 2 or 3 solid choices for the armband, this week several more with so many of our picks with home games. Who gets you the points from the short list is in the hands of the Gods; it's down to luck.
I normally make up my mind during the week and walk away from the computer. Often the worst time to make the final decision is Saturday morning when doubts start to creep in and you lose sight of why you picked x player over y player.
Things will even out over the season. Chin up, son!Cheers mate. I captained Balotelli, not Sterling, but I was well aware of the risks associated with captaining Balo. My silly decision in the end!
Ah sorry, misread that one!
Nothing like a rage activated WC.
Beats that of Triggerlips everyday of the year.
😎So it looks like we have at least 3 team members on the WC then...
Bodes well for the first match...Zep, thoughts on ADM + Welbeck or Ramsey + Pelle?
My biggest issue is South vs Swans.
Siggy/Naylor/Bertrand or Clyne/Pelle all involved. Don't expect an instant WC success.Baines on your WC Innsie?
Probably not Tina.
Souths vs Swans is a pain for me too this week...
ADM looks amazing it has to be said... so you'd think he'd have to be favourite...
Saying that, Ramsey is never far away from a goal or assist, and I think he'll be just as consistent... Pelle looks good too with their great run of fixtures...
It's really tough, do you plan to keep Rooney?ADM could be kept until GW 8 perhaps. Then a swap to Walcott or Ramsey?
That sounds like a good plan actually...
It's really tough to separate them...
I'll be keeping Rooney, yes. None of the big defenders are attracting me atm so I'm leaning towards a cheaper defence that rotates well. Then I'll go into this week with a Costa - Rooney - Adebayor frontline, so it gives me a couple of weeks to see if Pelle (or Welbeck) is the real deal.
If I go down this route then it's pretty much a straight decision between ADM and Ramsey as money isn't much of a problem... Whichever I pick I'll be able to afford something like Adebayor + Rooney > Pelle/Welbeck + Aguero when the time is right...I've read somewhere that the formation that spurs play leads to lots of interchanging between Erik/Lamela/Ade.
Ade not always the furthers forward.
Maybe look into that.Good point. I wouldn't be as tempted as I am if they weren't up against a terrible WBA side next, too.
Im working towards the following for Gw 8/9
Baines
Cesc(or ADM)/Erik/Siggy/Sterling
Kun/Pelle/Costa😳
Forgot about Arsenal cover...Welbeck over Pelle perhaps.
Or Ramsey/Walc in for Cesc.
I guess it makes sense then to ride the next 4 United fixtures... ADM can be swapped if and when United start drying up, at which stage Rooney will be enough cover, and Ramsey/Walcott will be beggin for your attention...
Also gives us time to make sure Pelle is the real deal in terms of consistent points scoring...The only thing that worries me is if I drop Ramsey and he scores well... 42% ownership is crazily high and a Ramsey goal means I'm starting the week ~9 points behind everyone else...
I think I'm extra worried about this as I've experienced single-handedly how much it affects your rank when a widely-owned player (Costa in my case) does well when you don't have him.
Riding the United fixtures then swapping in a few weeks is a good plan though... I'll mull it over 🙂Maybe we are lucky and an injury in the CL forces our hand.
My fear is ADM will turn into another Cesc and keep on hurting me with pts and TV until I get him.
I hope so.
You and me both Christina. Best to freshen things up and stay with the pack.
My problem is Swans vs South though....
And Ramsey/Pelle vs ADM/WelbckHmm, I'd go with Pelle and Ramsey personally. I think Rooney is enough United cover.
With lot of choice in midfield in the 8-9.5 price bracket, this season is turning out to be interesting. But I feel that none of the MFs are captain material. Personally burned my fingers with Ramsey and Sterling in last 2 weeks. Di Maria looks like an assist machine same with Fab so I don't think they will be explosive enough. Unless one is willing to take a punt on Siggy or one of the Spurs MFs (never punt on captaincy) the captain choice will be a simple case of choosing one premium striker. To do well teams need to have 2 out of Costa/United/ Aguero.
Sorry for rambling but this is my two bits. Any counter thoughts?Agree-
Looking to end up shortly with
Di Maria/Sterling/Siggy/Fab/ 5.5ish
Costa/Welbeck/Aguero
If Aguero has a favorable fixture captain him, if not leave on CostaLooks good but personally I won't go near any Arsenal players.
Or maybe that is my rage at Wenger clouding my judgement.Schn-5.7
What's the back look like SAB?
Agree with the forwards. Would love to get all three but atm it's impossible for me To get rroney.
Which worries me alittle, i have no Manu cover. One of Rooney or ADM essential IMO. United aren't playing in Europe so LvG can play same team almost every week. They will only get better.
Good stuff. How do you think our defences should be set up?
I think looking at the way Chelsea are playing there is no point going for premium defenders. Soton, Swansea and then cheapies is how I am trying to reshape my defence. Although I have terry still but will remove him when I have a FT to spare.
I do think that United defence will do well with Blind in front of them. That's why Jones injury is such a pain.Cheers
Would appreciate your thoughts. I have Ivanovic, Clyne, Shawcross, Duff and Moore. Which 3 should I play this GW?
Perfect front 7 I believe:
Fábregas / Ramsey / Sterling / Sigurdsson
Agüero / Costa / RooneyThen all your defenders would have to be between 4.0 and 4.5 right?
3 4.5 and 2 4.0s
Have worked as good as any so far.
Just noticed my mini-league H2H opponent made 10 changes for a -32 point hit due to accidentally not hitting the wildcard button. Wouldn't have mattered but that's devastating!
I think he gave up after that error
... She!!
THOUGHTS FOR CL TEAM?
Moya (jones)
Marcelo, Danilo, Lichtsteiner (Moreno, 3.0)
Kagawa, Rakatic, Pogba, Alonso (3.0)
Ibra, Welbeck, Ronaldo
cheersAlonso won't score much. Don't understand the love for Pogba.
Wellbeck away to Dortmund will be lucky to get 2 points. Try teams like Leverkusen, Atletico and Zenit.
Crikey! I thought Swansea was a pretty attacking team, judging them by their goals so far, until I looked at touches in the final third! Just look at the difference between the top and the bottom!
http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/6616/The problems with some of these stats are most of the teams are screwed once they faced Chelsea. Eg Swans/Everton etc
Mun looks defensively ok, but they have only faced Burnley/Qpr/SunEverton are still up high though.
Im talking about shots conceded. Their 3-6 was a killer. As was Swans 2-4.
Ah right, but still, being that low is very surprising.
Wow that is quite surprising.
I guess since they have heaps of pace from Routledge and Dyer they're a very counter attacking team... Two of their games were away at United and Chelsea though, so that's something else to consider.Look at Burnley though, almost double and they played the same teams, although it was at home.
True. It'd be interesting to see if the teams that play with 2 strikers as opposed to 1 generally have more touches in the final third. I think they would.
I agree.
Yeah I fully expect a 451.
Conversion rates ... most important thing, if people are banging them in when they get the chance that's all that matters.
Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, QPR and Leicester don't surprise me.
Interesting stats Sarj!I was just having a tinker in the stats department, looking at random things and came across it. I'm not saying anything about it, just merely pointing it out 🙂
Nah thats great ... I am genuinely quite surprised but I guess their conversion has been outrageously good so far!
Siggy (c) 🙂
Why oh why did I captain Sterling instead of Costa or Rooney. Down from 18k to 77k 🙁
Oh well, onwards and upwards. Took my first 4pter of the season and it feels therapeutic
Dzeko > Pelle
Mata > Di Maria
Good transfers?I was in the same boat as you, I captained Sterling. I just wish he didn't come on at all, with Rooney being my vice captain.
Yep, my vice was Roon as well. But I just knew Sterling would come on, I never even allowed myself to think for a second he wouldn't
Sterling (c) was far too big a risk given all those rumours, it has to be said...
Any Fabregas owner bench him this weekend?
Why would you bench him?! 😯
No way, what is your front 7?
5 defenders:
Evans (Lei), Moreno (WHU), Naylor (SOTON), Clyne (Swan), Wilson (QPR)
5th Mid: Boyd (Burnley)
I have Costa
Benching headache this week...dunno who to pick in the first XI
I think he may play as a CAM against City.
This, Cesc/Matic pivot hasn't served Chelsea well defensively. Ramires or Mikel will come in to partner Matic, either pushing Cesc up to 10, or switching to a midfield 3.
Madness IMO!
I seriously think Chelsea will score, and I would be very surprised if it wasn't a Cesc assist yet againNo chance
Alright DZ.
Terry + Marney > Clyne + Schneiderlin a no brainer?Schneiderlin won't keep scoring. So if Marney's your fifth midfielder, which I presume he is, then it's a waste of a million.
And a transfer.
This
Fair point. I've lost all patience with terry though, what's everyone else doing with him?
I've got Cahill and I'm keeping.
Logic?
Also have Moreno, Wisdom, Hutton and caulker.
I have faith 🙂
Plus, I'd rather wait until I have 2 transfers and use 1 on a defender.
Got rid for Moreno 2 weeks back! Chelsea just don't look the same defensively this year!
Dyer over Schneiderlin?
Captain
A) Rooney
B) Costa
C) AgueroA
A
Rooney
Welbeck rose 0.1 wtf
Sweet!
Wtf. I just sold him when he was 7.0 thinkin he ll drop. Oh well...
3-3.5 mids that will play for UCL bench fodder?
Morning lads,
Need to downgrade Arnie to someone cheap and with good fixtures. Without having a look too hard (still early and am off today) I was contemplating Zaha. (Will be for GW7 onwards). Must get a look at stats from off my g/friend's account....Zaha or Chadli.
Or Sigurdsson if you don't already have him.
Chadli is best bet
Arfield!
Burnley best attacking player, on pens too, good fixtures. No use being on penalties if you miss them.
Cheers lads 🙂 Already have Siggy. Just bought Eriksen, as well. Arfield is an interesting one - shall monitor 🙂
Chadli is looking like a decent punt (if you don't have Siggy obv).
I need to decide the transfer path I will take
A. Aguero Boyd
B. Naismith adm + 2m
Rest of the team is costa wellbeck plus standard 4 in midOK, so Fabrgas cannt be benched though he will play at Etihad
So I still play 3-4-3 this week: Evans, Moreno, _____?
______between Naylor (SOTON), Clyne (Swan), Wilson (QPR), who to play among those 3?
I think people will say Naylor but CS odd favour WIlson (surprised)
CS odd: Stoke 9/5
Swansea 21/10
Soton 5/2Naylor will be getting right up that left flank. Really tough choice mate. I'd rule Wilson out, just because I think the other two are better players. A toss off the coin will do, here.
yeah, it could end up with none CS from them but Clyne & Taylor have more attacking potential.
I heard Swansea have most shot conceded in the box, leaning toward Clyne atmLeic has most I think...Swans are right up there though...close to the top
Great choice - I'm afraid of benching Clyne regardless of fixtures atm.
Wilson's fixture should read 'qpr' as they're playing at home. Just in case it might chance folk's opinions of who to pick 😉
Swans vs South is a pain in the behind this week...
Possible Siggy/Naylor/Clyne/Pelle involvement....Unless they all whack a goal or get an assist there are going to be losers in both camps.
Good chance to take a punt and bench your Soton crew!Im on a rage WC, so everything still up in the air.
goals galore I can imagine...
Yeah possibly, but what to do with Naylor/Clyne. Both have attacking potential.
I'd prefer to go with the Saints option unless you can use the extra money elsewhere to better effect.
+ Forster 🙁
On a WC? Im thinking of getting Burnley keeper AND Duff!
Ok fixt until Jan WCI had toyed with that idea but I'm comfortable playing a Southampton defender/GK every week, but not a Burnley one.
Blimey I wouldn't trust Burnley's fixtures. They are set to fight relegation all season.
I know, but Im going for a 4.5m keeper. At the moment It's Krul, and with all respect i can see them without a manager very soon.
Burnley play 7 of next 12 at home. Of the other 5 games, 4 are:
leic/wba/qpr/stoke
Ars(a) only top side.
I will take my chances I think.Good luck 🙂
Hoping for this year's manonne.
lol
dont so worry, WC is not only for 1 game, nothing can prediction. just get the team you like for next 4-5 gw
As it stands I have Aguero, Costa & Rooney up front. Normally I'd be very excited with those 3 but for some reason I'm not. Maybe it's the fixtures this weekend but at least I have 3 regular/viable
captaincy options. It's between Aguero & Rooney for the armband this weekend. Any help in making my decision would be welcomed !!!Rooney for me.
Thinking that way too !!!
I'd go for Rooney and hope that Utd are playing like they were last week.
Have a feeling City v Chels will be a tight gameThanks !!!
Morning fellas, how does my team look
Bego / gills
Ivan / clyne / Chester / Moore / wisdom
Fab / sterling / erikson / siggy / albrighton
Costa / Rooney / dzeko
1ft thinking dzeko to pelleI like that move... see below. Good team otherwise.
Yep, good transfer. Then if Chester doesn't win his spot back next week he can become Naylor/Lovren.
Begovic
Terry, PvA, Dier
Ramsey, Sterling, Fábs, Siggy, JWP
Costa, Rooney
(Gilks, Jovetic, S.Taylor, Wisdom)
Jovetic > Pelle, Ulloa or Welbeck?
Opinions appreciated.Pelle for the next three weeks, Welbeck afterwards.
Pelle has these fixtures from GW 8-11
SUN
STOKE
hull
LEIC
Fix your link.
Oh sorry. Will do right now.
Hey ILB, haven't see you around in a while.
Can't pick between Pelle/Welbeck myself.I think Im going to go with my gut iro Welbeck...
Hey Innsie!
Yeah been absent with work and girl troubles 😉
They just don't get Fantasy football.
Might go Pelle as Welbeck aint done much yet.
Pelle for me, better fixtures
Which of these is a bigger priority?
(A) Terry to Betrand.
(B) Chester to Chambers/Wilson.
