Abel Hernandez and Mo Diame net on their Hull debut in a pulsating 2-2 home draw with West Ham. Enner Valencia strikes on his first start for the Hammers, while James Chester remains on the bench after Steve Bruce shifts to a four-man defence.

Tigers New Boys in the Goals
Steve Bruce handed deadline-day buys Mo Diame and Abel Hernandez their debuts for last night’s encounter and was rewarded after the new boys bagged a goal apiece. Diame’s introduction saw Jake Livermore shift to the right flank as the Tigers boss opted for a 4-4-2, while Hernandez joined Nikica Jelavic up front, with Tom Ince – who had previously been fielded alongside the Croatian, dropping out of the matchday squad altogether. Hernandez’ opener certainly suggests he could prove to be an inspired signing by Bruce but with City, Arsenal and Liverpool in the next five, few will be looking to invest in Hull right now.

Chester Benched as Bruce Shifts Formation
After starting the first three matches with a 3-5-2 system, Bruce’s decision to opt for a four-man defence left James Chester’s Fantasy owners with a dilemma. Granted, the Hull boss switched tactics on a number of occasions last season but if he continues with a back-four, the 5%-owned Chester may struggle to climb ahead of Curtis Davies and Michael Dawson in the pecking order. Going on Bruce’s team sheets so far, then, left-back Andrew Robertson, at 4.5, seems the safest budget route into the Hull defence.

Valencia Helps Hammers to a Point
After playing just 22 minutes in the opening three Gameweeks, the Ecuadorian netted a superb long-range effort on his first start of the season. Sam Allardyce fielded all three of his new forwards together for the first time and altered his tactical approach, as the visitors lined up in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Mauro Zarate tucking in behind Valencia and Diafra Sakho. While their two-goal haul will please the Hammers boss, his side have now failed to keep a clean sheet as he goes on the attack – with Liverpool and United next, defensive returns look hard to come by.

    Rare my UCL team?

    Courtois - Vaclik
Eliseu - Lahm - Mario Sergio - Mbemba - Balenziaga
    Schöne - Bale - Zuffi - Fabregas - Eremenko
    Ronaldo - Müller - Welbeck

    Cheers!

Firstly get Moya instead of Cortois to free up funds and spend less on the bench to try and improve the midfield and Welbeck.

      Having read last page
      I think odds favour B

Better fixtures, though I can't see burnley getting five CS in a row I expect them to get at least one out of next three games, though playing duff at right time may be luck.
ADM , only slight doubt I have is he never got touch in the box against QPR but still think he will play more against easier opponents than other two

My defence this week is looking like

        Ivanovic Clyne Moore

If Pieters is injured and Chester dropped. I'd like to make a move this week and Arsenal have a nice fixture against Villa.

Ok I will mention this, Chambers is a question for this week with tonsilitis. I believe in my opinion that Bellerin will play against Dortmund...and that will be his breakout game, he is dangerous and oozes quality.

The boss talked-up the Spaniard yesterday and insists he’ll be able to handle the pressure if drafted into the team tonight:

“Bellerin is a boy with personality,”

“He’s not fazed by the pressure. That’s important when you’re a young boy. His transitional game is fantastic. He’s quick and his final ball is good. He lacks a bit of experience but he’s very dangerous.”

So if Chambers is ruled out, he’ll join fellow defenders Debuchy and Nacho Monreal on the sidelines, with the Spaniard missing the game with a minor back problem.

Chambers at 4.5 looks to be nailed on for a couple of months at least. And the fact that he is 4.5 makes it easier in your mind to justify benching an Arsenal defender for tricky fixtures.
Imo there is no harm in getting him now if you have no other pressing issues.

Next 2 gameweeks. Lovren & Balo Vs. Chambers & Falc.

I'm leaning toward first one because I expect Arsenal defence to be suffer cause of injuries. Also, who knows how many minutes Falc will play this week. Also, with Sturridge out, Balo should bag a few.

    Lovren & Balo correct option?

I can see ADM doing what he did to QPR to pretty much anyone now.
Who should make way for him? The midfield is pretty much locked for so many FPL managers, the template has been well and truly drawn.
Siggy needs to stay due to his value.
Fabregas seems to be Costa's long lost non identical twin separated at birth, he always knows where he's going to be.
Sterling has just blanked but his fixtures are great, just hope he doesn't get rotated too often the Villa game must have fought BR something.
Ramsey? Well he looks to be carrying on from last season's form. However I can see him getting more assists than goals this year, so he might not be so explosive this term.
    Does Ramsey make way?
    Thoughts?

Looks good. If I was on a WC, I might be tempted to go for someone other than Cesc....you don't have enough cash for Sanchez though so probably no other stand out options.

Like the ADM punt. Might take a -4 myself to get him in....seems a bit insane though with AVL up next.

Leic top of the list for goal attempts conceded(19 more than team no 2!) and also top of the list for goal attempts conceded inside the box(10 more than 2nd placed team!)

I got him in for Rambo on my WC last week and glad I did.

Consdiering a switch to 3-5-2 to try and get Ramsey back in but would mean downgrading my defence as well.

Who should I have as my team this weekend?

    My current formation:

    Begovic (qpr)
PVA (bur) - Moreno (whu) - Clyne (swa)
Siggy (SOU) - Ramsey (avl) - Sterling (whu) - Fabregas (mci)
Costa (mci) - Pelle (swa) - Balotelli (whu)

    Bench:
McCarthy (STK) - Chadli (WBA) - Coloccini (HUL) - Moore (MUN)

Think I'm settled on not making any transfers this week.

    Bego (McCarthy)
    Clyne Lovren Evans (Duff, Moore)
Hazard Di Maria Sterling Sig (Boyd)
    Costa Pellè Balotelli

Considered doing some Haz and Balo out move to fit Aguero in, but I'll probably just bank and wait for 2 FTs next week if that move still seems wise.

I'm right to stick with this, right? If so, that'll be me banning the transfers page to resist temptation!

So like many others I need to replace Debuchy. Have 6.6 to spend.
Already have Stoke, Newcastle, Sunderland, Westbrom, QPR and Leicester at the back.
Is Southampton where I should be looking at?

I don't have Ramsey in my team at the moment, but why the exodus? Am I missing something? His stats are still looking very good. Is it just fixtures?

Cheers. Figured as much. I actually brought ADM in before the last gameweek on WC, but fully intend to get Ramsey back when the fixtures turn again. Think Ramsey is the much better long term option.

Can anyone see welbeck reducing arsenal midfield, Ramsey in particular, chance of goals?
For me a lot of their goals last year came from giroud hold up and bullying ish forward play. Welbeck is more head down and shoot on sight.

Not a very in depth analysis but thoughts?

Ramsey and Wilshere were very advanced on Saturday, had plenty of shooting opportunities...

Welbeck creates space behind him in the centre for the mids to run into...midfield will always be a vital part of Arsenal's game...
