Arsenal and Tottenham were both rebuffed in their attempts to sign Southampton’s World Cup star Morgan Schneiderlin this summer and hanging on to the French midfielder has proven crucial to the Saints’ ascent under new boss Ronald Koeman.

The 10.7% of Fantasy Premier League managers who have backed Schneiderlin have seen a phenomenal return from the central midfielder, who has chalked up 29 points in his last three appearances, courtesy of a trio of goals and four bonus points.

In our next members’ article of the week, we turn to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables in order to assess Schneiderlin’s progress from the previous campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

For the unfamiliar, these KPI tables are designed to use a series of key stats to allow our members to track form or changes in player performance. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain whether a player’s form has improved or declined. As mentioned in last summer’s introductory article, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

By comparing this season to last, we should be able to get an indication as to how he will be utilised in Koeman’s new-look side and determine whether his high points return so far could be sustainable. By also referencing the Comparison Tool and season totals, we get a better indication as to how he fared:

Howdy DZ. How y'all doing this morning/evening/night? Anyone up to dish up some advice about my team for the following week?

    Krul
    Pieters - Caulker - PVA
Fabregas - Sterling - Di Maria - Siggy
    Costa (vc) - Rooney (C) - Welbeck

    Foster - JWP - Clyne - Naylor

    1) Worried about the order of my defense. Have I got it right? Don't see any CSs in the Swansea/Southampton match but still not too comfortable with benching both Clyne and Naylor. Pieters injury might make my decision easier!

    2) Welbeck > Pelle with my FT? Fixtures and form would suggest so

Top of the page! Lovely 😉

Looks like most of us gave Clyne on the bench this week.
Only thing im wondering is Boyd or Clyne forst sub, similar to your dilemma

      1) Think you've got the defence correct. I'm predicting 2-2 in the Sot-Swa game.

      2) That could be the worst transfer you ever make. Save the free.

Haha cheers Mull. You really think so?

Pele (swa, QPR, tot) vs. Welbeck (avl, TOT, che)

There's lots of goals to be had in the Villa and Spurs games. It's hard not to score when you're playing up front for Arsenal.

          1. emperikal
            12 years, 1 month ago

Fair enough. You may have convinced me to stick for the Villa game. If he blanks I'll get Pelle in for QPR 😉

      Im playing clyne and ivanovic.
I suggest select on form. Id be worried about playing both costa and fabregas.

      1. Twelve years a slave
        12 years, 1 month ago

I would also put Naylor ahead of clyne

        1. emperikal
          12 years, 1 month ago

Not Clyne ahead because of his attacking potential? Don't see Swansea keeping them out

Not worried about Costa + Fabregas at all. Most in-form players in the league

    4. Aaron Ramessi - Straya

It's a massive knee jerk to transfer him out after failing to score against City and Dortmund. He had massive chances in those games as well.

Think I've got my WC team sorted...

    Forster - McCarthy
    Clyne - Bardsley - Taylor - Duff - Hutton
    ADM - Fabregas - Sterling - Siggy - Boyd
    Costa - Rooney - Pelle

With 2.1 ITB for a rainy day.

      Ahh youve done it!

Theres a risk in both ADM and Rooney, things could easily turn out that Falcao and Mata/Herrera start getting involved in the majority of Man u goals. then you have a bit of a mess, I would take the risk with one of them.

Although Cameron reckons hes only out a coupkle of weeks nd is competition for Bardsley, and seeing as they lost at home to stoke they may be tempted to bring him back in

        1. President John F. Keninnsie

Thanks Trigg. I think I'm willing to punt on Bardsley, I think there's a possibility Cameron takes Wilson's place when he's back. Rafael is an interesting one but I'm not sure if he's nailed on and he's very injury prone.

    6. Aaron Ramessi - Straya

            1. President John F. Keninnsie

Might try fit Baines in if I've still got the cash.

Not too tempted by their attackers, Martinez loves to rotate and that'll just be more frequent with Europa.

              1. Christina.
                12 years, 1 month ago

Well that's the issue for me now.

If I go Bardsley over Baines, then I also have 2.1m in the bank.

That could be used either for Baines or Kun.

                😕

                1. President John F. Keninnsie
                  12 years, 1 month ago

                  Exactly.

IMO the best thing is to keep the money in the bank, which gives you more flexibility...

But maybe you should get Baines so our teams aren't exactly the same. lol

                        2)Pick two from Cesc/ADM/Ramsey or Walcott/Sterling

    Good Morning All

So I have 33 M to spend on...

    -------- 1 Goalkeeper ------------

    --------- 2 Defenders ------------ ( Already have Hutton , Duff, Moore )

    --------- 1 Midfielder -------------- ( Have Siggy, Sterling, Fab)

    ---------- 1 Forward --------------- (Have Aguero, Costa)

    Im thinking either

    A) Pelle + premium mid, and fill out defense with rest of funds

    B) Rooney + Budget mid (chadli, schneiderlin, etc.) and fill out defence

    C) Baines + 4.5 (Naylor) and working up from there

Would love to get the valuable opinions of my fellow scouts

    Hazard Siggy Ramsey Sterling
    Ade Rooney Costa

    Bench: xx, Clyne, Marney, Hutton.

Any ideas as to how to spend a FT on this team?

Considering Marney to Boyd just to save that 0.1, or maybe get in McCarthy as non playing gk.
    Sounds ridiculous though

Very nice team. Considering shipping Hazard?
He could go, if not then yes boring transfer.

      Moreno a better pick

Bring in Welbeck, Ade or Pelle this week.

I own Tadic and Ramsey, am tempted to go Adebayor for the captaincy option, if not would probably go Rooney...

I ve got Ivanovic, Clyne, Shawcross, Duff and Moore. Which 3 should I play this GW?

Very tough one. Moore and......Clyne I think just, over Duff.

Would never ever bench Ivan. Duff and Clyne

Who to play between: Clyne (swa) / Moreno (whu) / Taylor (SOU) / Wilson (qpr) / Duff (SUN)

      Duff,Moreno and Taylor

So Falcao -> Rooney (c) seems to be madness so I need some help picking my captain this week (like we all non Rooney owners do)

    Who should I choose?

    Falcao
    Costa
    Sterling
    Mirallas (cheeky punt)

    1. crteer
      12 years, 1 month ago

Not a bad call on Mirallas for the differential.

      1. S.Kuqi

but it might be more than enough to even own him.

Is playing McCarthy over Forster worth the risk given Forster will be swapped in if he doesn't play?

      Yes.

    Morning people,

Need to watch the pennies over the coming days if I'm not to get caught out by price rises/drops and end up not being able to afford what I want to do.

What is now generally considered the most reliable source of price changes?

    Thanks.

    Need Help deciding

    A. Ramsey + Di Maria?
    B. Di Maria + Cesc?
    C. Cesc + Ramsey?

    1. crteer
      12 years, 1 month ago

      Tough call.

I would say that C is definitely out.

Di Maria has the fixture, Cesc has the form, and Ramsey is well, Rambo.

I myself would go with B.

    Hi guys,

Need your opinion, whether my team is good enough for me to save FT this week:

    Bego (McCarthy)
    Janmaat Duff Clyne (Chester, PVA)
    ADM Fab Ramsey Sterling (Zaha)
    Ballo Naismith Costa

    Thanks in advance

Ooh.....I'd give Fab the chop instead of Sterling tbh but that's probably not so good considering he's in fantastic form.

Hope it works out for you! Love the Sanchez pick, Chambers a gem going under the radar as well.

            Heaton Gilks
            Rafael Bertrand Chambers Moore Hutton
            Sanchez Fabregas Eriksen Sig Boyd
            Aguero Costa Pelle

    Morning.
    Krul ( Mannone)
    Terry Moreno Chambers (Wisdom Baird)
Ramsey Siggy Mata Sterling ( Cattermole)
    Costa Rooney Naismith

    2.8 ITB 1 FT

Would you use FT to improve the bench for now or save the FT?
I do want to get rid of Terry soon.

Who Should I captain and Why?
    A. Costa
    B. Sterling

leaning towards sterling however Costa could easily score a goal or two. Worried about how sterling could go without sturridge though.

Sterling. One blank doesnt mean anything but you are right about worrying how to their performance has dropped after Studges injury.

I was bit surprised how well City defended against Bayern. City-Chelsea might be tight game.

Only if Mirallas had a patience not to shoot every freaking time he gets the ball 25 yards from goal.
