Fond of sand dunes and salty air, Granville returns from “avin’ it large” in Ibiza, to join me once again in the ScoutCast studio.

The ageing hedonist and I rinse through the regulars – giving our views on the week’s transfer bandwagons, whilst previewing the weekend and giving a shout-out to those managers blazing trails atop the various Fantasy Football Scout leagues.

Inevitably, we also moan about our Gameweek mishaps, discuss the latest development in the United revolution and surf the waves being generated by the Fantasy Premier League price tweaks.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Krul
    Clyne - Moreno - Debuchy* (Moore,Wisdom)
    Mata - Sigurdsson - Ward-Prowse - Ramsey
    Rooney - Agüero - Falcao

Need Debuchy out but not sure who to get in 0.5 in bank

    A) Debuchy -> Azpilicueta (fixtures not great)
    B) Debuchy ->Shawcross/Dier
    C) Debuchy & Mata(wont start everyweek) -> Evans/Rafael & Fábregas in (-4)

leaning towards c at the min

Members, the captaincy decisions RMT is throwing at me are very odd.

All I am saying is that a certain Argentinian is ahead compared to other players with better form and fixtures. Crazy predictions!

Who else likes a maverick captain choice? Seems like the last week to do so.

OK, lost too much ground last two GWs so biting the bullet and using my WC this week. Ditching Rambo, Rooney, Cahill..

    Guzan (Mannone)
Wilson - Bertrand - Trippier (Hutton - Wisdom)
Fab - Siggy - Chadli - Sterling - Di Maria
    Kun - Costa (Ulloa)

Defence is cheap but I'm fairly top heavy. Plan is to rotate Siggy and Ulloa.

    Any feedback would be great..

I'm not a fan of rotating forwards but I'm a fan of top heaviness.

A long term plan should see you through nicely

      1. Gary_Breen
        12 years, 1 month ago

Cheers chaps. I agree, top heaviness (I like that term) should get me points and the above team should keep me covered in the long term. If (when) Kun or Costa get injured I can handily switch to another heavy hitter. Although the defence is cheap, I reckon I have enough teams covered to rotate each week and hopefully pick up a couple of CS.

    Krul

    Chambers / Lovren / Clyne / Colo

    Krill
    Terry. Cline. PvA
    Ramsey. Fabregas. Sterling. Soggy
    Rooney. Costa. Pelle

    Subs. Elliott. Marney. Wisdom. Moore

    Best option?

    A) terry > Baines (-4)

    B) do nothing

    C) any other trades for a hit

I am pondering the Triggerlips' move of Ramsey to Angel Di Maria.

    A couple of potential outcomes...

    A. Villa are sturdy at the back this year, Arsenal were always going to struggle to score there. United's new signings in sync & free flowing, Leicester with the worst defense statistically - di Maria was always going to explode.

    B. Ramsey's class and Arsenal were playing Villa, after all, of course he scored. United don't play QPR every week, they were always going to struggle against Leicester who are sitting on 5 points despite having a tough opening schedule, they are no pushovers.

Tricky, you could be hit hard by selling Ramsey just due to his ownership.

      That would worry me.

      1. Pepin - RIP Absinthe

Indeed, if he wasn't owned by such a high %, it would be a much easier move.

Ramsey is still doing well, especially with this 4-1-4-1 formation. Consider a switch when the old 4-2-3-1 returns. That way you can see Di Maria's long term form, and also contemplate Walcott.

The same reason here...I've had Giroud before and now Welbeck, because he's the cheapest striker of the top clubs and will surely get some goals in no matter how bad he is (and I don't think Welbeck's that bad :D)

Funny, I bigged him up a lot preseason then ditched him 😉 Might stick with him.

Possibly will do Falcao -> Roo for the week though I don't want to 😉

So it's Fabs & Chadli vs. Sterling & Mirallas? Easily the former mate.

Just think it'll be unchanged given the score, maybe Blackett going out in defence. Another cameo for Falcao then ready to start GW 6.

Nah, van Gaal will want van Persie to get ff the mark before we play the big boys.

Increased minutes, but no need to put him under strain. Perhaps a half, dependant on who is playing terrible out of mata roon or RVP.

Worth doing Tadic to Schneiderlin or save the transfer?

    1. Reed_Rothchild

I have both but Schneiderlin for team value and price rise.

that borders on the edge of madness.. a very sterile, boring kind of madness that too

      1. DAV087
        12 years, 1 month ago

Why is it madness? Scoring more points for cheaper.

He's getting into such dangerous positions.

        1. Valar(Keith)
          12 years, 1 month ago

do you need the cash for an urgent change? else it can wait cause tadic is getting into even more dangerous postions more frequently

          1. DAV087
            12 years, 1 month ago

Don't need the cash but it could come in handy. Tadic seems to be assisting the assiter rather than getting in on the points.

Terry to Baines for -4 is so tempting.. considering the fact i love baines and have the patience for him. yet it seems like such a waste at the same time 🙁 ..

    1. Lizard Lips

Wait till GW8 seems to be the way forward, is very tempting though isn't it.

so very tempting.. especially since i always get baines at some point every season and i have the cash for it

This is my defence for the week -

    Krul
    Naylor, Colo, Pva (Chester, Moore)

Should I do Chester ➡ Bertrand and bench Colo/Naylor or save the FT?

Don't like the toon double up. I would spread the risk. I like that trade. Do it!

Dzeko out for a hit or wait a week and see what happens with Ade / Pelle / Welbeck

    1. super zlatan
      12 years, 1 month ago

I don't think dzeko will start. Could be a 20 min cameo. He could get you 1 point.
Might be worth the hit if u pick the right replacement. I went with pelle

      1. John Nerdelbaum

Depends who else you have. Small risk of Dzeko not starting so might be worth an Ade punt if you don't have great subs.

Pelle is safest as in fixtures. Adebayor great this week & Welbeck may be gold soon.
Want Adebayor but I know he will become an issue in a few weeks.

          1. John Nerdelbaum
            12 years, 1 month ago

In terms of an immediate return, Ade looks the best shout and then a switch to Welbeck
