Seamus Coleman is expected to shrug off a knock as Everton entertain Palace. Ron Vlaar remains doubtful as Villa prepare for the visit of Arsenal. Danny Ings is ruled out of Burnley’s home clash with Sunderland, Jon Walters and Marko Arnautovic are doubts as Stoke travel to QPR, while Martin Skrtel is back as Liverpool roll up to West Ham.

Seamus Coleman was forced off with a knock in Everton’s win over Wolfsburg last night but Roberto Martinez is confident the right-back will recover in time for Sunday’s visit of Palace.

Callum Chambers has recovered from the illness that forced him out of the XI to face Dortmund, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Mathieu Flamini is also available, whilst Jack Wilshere “is okay” after picking up an ankle problem during the 2-0 defeat. The Gunners boss has also revealed Mathieu Debuchy will be out for a minimum of six weeks with an ankle injury, though could be sidelined for three months if he requires surgery.

Jon Walters (calf) and Marko Arnautovic (foot) are both concerns for Stoke’s trip to QPR, Mark Hughes has confirmed. The former has only just returned to training after picking up a knock, though Stephen Ireland is pushing for a recall after recovering from a rib problem.

Harry Redknapp has revealed QPR have “a few knocks” ahead of the home clash against Stoke. Joey Barton (hamstring) and Jordon Mutch (knock) will continue to be assessed, though Adel Taarabt is ruled out with an ankle injury.

Ronald Koeman has revealed new signing Sadio Mane has finally received a work permit and will arrive in Southampton tomorrow, though is unlikely to be ready in time to face QPR. Shane Long has recovered from the knock that forced him off against Newcastle last weekend.

Danny Ings has been ruled out of Burnley’s home clash with sunderland this weekend, with manager Sean Dyche refusing to put a timescale on his return. Matty Taylor is unavailable for the second successive Gameweeks and joins long-term absentee Sam Vokes on the sidelines.

Villa skipper Ron Vlaar remains a major doubt for the visit of Arsenal due to a calf complaint. Christian Benteke has returned to light training but is believed to be weeks away from a return to first-team action as Paul Lambert looks to protect his star striker. Joe Cole is also back in training, though is “a little bit behind on fitness levels”, according to his manager.

Kasper Schmeichel is expected to recover from the minor knee problem that saw him miss last weekend’s trip to Stoke, while Matty James is also in contention after recovering from injury to feature for the Under-21s on Monday.

Martin Skrtel is back for Liverpool’s trip to West Ham, though Joe Allen is out “for a few weeks”, according to Brendan Rodgers. The Reds boss expects Daniel Sturridge to return to training next week, though young Jon Flanagan is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed he has the same squad that travelled to Hull on Monday, an indication that Joey O’Brien will miss out again as the Hammers play host to Liverpool.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

Feel like a bit of a muppet for getting Falcao and Ulloa in for Aguero and Jelavic for a hit.

Jelavic didn't look like the main man vs west ham with Hernandez there and I can't handle the city rotation/ lack of aguero minutes (even with his great ratio).

Feel it's a good long term move but struggling to justify it in the short term

Give at least one more weak for Falcao to show his worth before buying. Agüero is fit, dont get rit of him now. Jelavic is showing good shape for this gameweek, but have fixtures against him from next weak on.

One of each from the following sets:
      (Tadic / Pelle)
      (Mirallas / Lukaku / Baines)
      (Ramsey / Sanchez)
      (Silva / Aguero)
      (Sterling / Henderson)
(Di Maria / Rooney / Falcou)

      Two of:
      (Costa / Fabregas / Hazard)

      And a suitable defensive rotation.

But there's also Walcott, Sturridge and Benteke coming back from injury who I'd want to consider.

  8. Pepin - RIP Absinthe

Villa are statistically one of the best, if not the best, defense in the league. Arsenal a bit out of sorts.

Leicester are statistically the worst defense in the league. United on a high.

Still tempted by Ramsey to ADM.

    1. Epic Fail
      12 years, 1 month ago

Villa have rode their luck. I've watched each and every game and they should have conceded in every one of them, many times.

Obviously biased but I would have to disagree. First of all how have you watched every single Villa game?

The team is hyper defensive and extremely well drilled. To say they should have conceded many many times is hilarious

Good to know, all the more surprised to see his comments. Maybe he is still scarred from last year but I don't think there is any doubt that Villa have been fantastic. Completely dominated Hull, blanked Newcastle and most saw the Liverpool performance for themselves. Stoke was the only game IMO that they rode their luck

    2. Billy Gilmore
      12 years, 1 month ago

Leicester are skewed by their horrible fixtures.

      1. Pepin - RIP Absinthe
        12 years, 1 month ago

Yes, they played against top sides & conceded lots of shots. They are up against a top side.

        1. Billy Gilmore
          12 years, 1 month ago

So are Villa, and they haven't had tough fixtures, the hardest being an inept Liverpool. Impossible to draw conclusions on best defences after 4 weeks.

I don't think Utd will have an easy game by any stretch.

UFPL dealing some harsh blows already - I ditched Chambers last week as he didn't seem worth keeping unless someone got a major injury. I'm now pretty jealous of anyone who kept hold.

I've tried to get the right balance but have probably failed - it's more about which days everyone plays on than anything.

I've got Costa, Adebayor, Dzeko, Welbeck, Naismith, Berahino

My main worry is that Dzeko and De Gea are my only players from the Manchester teams!

Nope. I made my initial squad full of players for the first few weeks only, so I had lots of changes to make. Granted that tactic didn't work for me, but still.

    Got 2FT. Do I do:

    Dzeko to Pelle

    OR

Dzeko & Cahill to Ade & Moreno (or someone else?)

Injuries permitting, if I was to do the latter, I'd probably go Ade to Pelle next week anyway, but Spuds coverage seems important this week and my concern with Pelle is that I'd end up with four players from the Swansea - Saints game all negating each other.

In years gone by, i have swooped in on price rises early in the season at the cost of some sizable hits then come back strong as the season progressed. The new price system has been very unkind to me - my terrible start has no silver lining of a valuable team. I do, however, find myself unsure what to do next. any advice would be much appreciated.

    Krul----Myhill
    Rojo----Lovren----Clyne----Coloccini----N. Taylor
    Sanchez----Hazard----Sterling----Sigurdsson----Boyd
    Rooney----Balotelli----Naismith

    1 FT 1.0 ITB

    - I'm thinking of getting rid of Naismith after this coming gameweek, possibly for welbeck/pelle
    - Not convinced on the Costa train with the chelsea fixtures to come although he could be a better option than hazard

Please help me with 2 decisions

    My front line is

    Ramsey - Sterling - Mata - Siggy - Fabregas
    Rooney - Costa - Naismith

I think I'd bench Mata and captain Rooney.
