With the exception of a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging opening to their campaign. Seven goals in four matches makes their attacking options worthy of consideration, with the midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli hovering on our radars as potential acquisitions.

The 4-0 thrashing of QPR certainly brought Nacer Chadli firmly into the Fantasy frame as he bagged a brace and claimed 15 points. With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly promoting the Belgian international to the status of certain starter and with a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag of just 6.1, the debate over Tottenham’s attacking trio seems cut and dry.

However, Christian Eriksen’s shift to a central role in the win over Sunderland and his bundled goal in the 2-2 draw reminded us that he’s a known quantity and a proven producer after a solid 132-point campaign last year. In addition, after a season on the sidelines, largely due to injury, Argentine starlet Lamela has shown flashes of the brilliance which have gone some way to explain why Spurs shelled out £30 million for his services last summer.

In this latest article for members, we analyse this trio of targets, sifting the data available to analyse their early-season form and assess whether Chadli’s emergence has put both Eriksen and the resurgent Lamela in the shade.

I think Chadli can't fail to score decent returns in coming weeks. He's getting all the right stats and he's much cheaper then Eriksen and Lamela!

Now just need to see how I can afford him!!

Lamela is becoming my weak point.

Got him in as soon as he arrived last season, and kept for far too long. Went back this season, and did alright GW2, but nothing else.

    Captaining him this week.

Van Gaal has refused to answer the question of whether any players are nailed on by deflecting the issue, instead he has praised Blackett whilst also given no certainty to Blackett's future starting role.

Its quite clever, but entirely unhelpful.

            I love Costa,

If I captain Costa, and he gets 1 point, ill be upset, but i can live. If I choose Rooney over Costa 2 weeks in a row, as a Cheslea fan, and Costa does well. I will die....

I made that mistake 2 weeks ago when Costa had a double against EVE. I have Costa & Aguero and def not captaining Aguero as I am also a Blues fan. Might go Ramsey, but most likely sticking with the new & improved Spaniard.

Team looks mostly good, lotta cash to be sitting ITB though. Chester out is the right idea. Bertrand, Shawcross or Moreno look like good options - all have "easy" fixtures coming up.

    great article idea.
i am personally wondering if eriksen is playing the hazard role (hopefully temporary hazard role!) of taking out players and making his teammates better than him

I miss the good ol' days. When these pages werent 90% full of ManU posts. Cant object as no one is being horrifically biased but there are other things to talk about.

You've arrived at a bad time to be fair - just as their press conference started.

think that's simply because there is more mystery surrounding man utd right now. they're the most new and interesting, and big team calls are still to be made. liverpool, chelsea, tottenham, arsenal, everton, man city pretty much pick themselves right now and are more known quantities

You know as well as I do that this website has always been full of United fans, I just think its related to that. I could be wrong obviously.

Am I perhaps nuts to consider captaining Chadli this week?

Yup. Sure he could be in for a haul, but dont get confused by the glory that comes with pulling of a Chadli captain, its clouds the judgement.

He is a 6M mid. That alone says dont captain.

I'm not convinced price is relevant! Form and fixtures are though and West Brom at home is probably as good a fixture you can get right now.

      Nope.

Spurs have an excellent fixture, he's in good form, and some of the big guns have tricky fixtures. It's a bold move, but not bonkers.

Now that I don't know! But the odd risk now and again is good I think.

Siggy and Costa, Fab is not MUST HAVE yet, I'm hanging on to Hazard.

Barring injuries, Hazard is staying in my team until week 38. We'll see if Cesc still has more points then.
