With the exception of a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging opening to their campaign. Seven goals in four matches makes their attacking options worthy of consideration, with the midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli hovering on our radars as potential acquisitions.

The 4-0 thrashing of QPR certainly brought Nacer Chadli firmly into the Fantasy frame as he bagged a brace and claimed 15 points. With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly promoting the Belgian international to the status of certain starter and with a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag of just 6.1, the debate over Tottenham’s attacking trio seems cut and dry.

However, Christian Eriksen’s shift to a central role in the win over Sunderland and his bundled goal in the 2-2 draw reminded us that he’s a known quantity and a proven producer after a solid 132-point campaign last year. In addition, after a season on the sidelines, largely due to injury, Argentine starlet Lamela has shown flashes of the brilliance which have gone some way to explain why Spurs shelled out £30 million for his services last summer.

In this latest article for members, we analyse this trio of targets, sifting the data available to analyse their early-season form and assess whether Chadli’s emergence has put both Eriksen and the resurgent Lamela in the shade.

    Krul
    Caulker - Pieters - PVA
Fabregas - Sterling - Di Maria - Siggy
    Rooney (C) - Costa (vc) - Welbeck

    Foster - Clyne - Naylor - JWP

    1.0 ITB, 1 FT

Only thing I'm concerned with is the order of my defenders. Have I got it right? Don't see Southampton or Swansea keeping a CS but also kind of hoping for a 0-0 in the QPR/Stoke match

Such a tough one, i'm a happy Ramsey owner, he's ticking over ok and got a rest midweek so should be fresh this weekend. Mata edges it on fixtures though i think, but i'd be worried of him getting taking off early again or dropped altogether for Rooney in the hole

            Yeah it's quite hard :/

George Boyd on my bench has lovely fixtures for the next 4 weeks in case Mata doesn't play.

How about Mata/Boyd for 4 weeks before switching to Walcott?

Surely better than holding Ramsey over a tough run of fixtures and then not switching to Walcott because I HATE doing "sideways" transfers lol?

are you certain of Mata's gametime ?
am a Mata owner and am not sure whether to keep him or get rid of...probably I'll give myself another week to assess the situation

      1. Brutus619
        • 14 Years

Not certain, but as a United fan I feel it's RVP vs Falcao to be in the team and that Mata is nailed on for this weekend. I also trust him to do well enough to get another chance in the game after too.

IF Mata doesn't play, George Boyd has fantastic fixtures for the next 4 weeks and is strong cover.

I think I'll get Mata for a few games and then switch to Walcott when he's fit.

I think the Jacks will turn over Southampton this weekend.

Can't see Southampton fullbacks getting the freedom to push on with Dyer and Routledge playng havoc with their pace and tricky.

Bit of luck Bony gets a little brace to boot.

Was there any interesting bib theory to come out of this afternoon?

Having had a shocker last week, and perhaps rashly thinking Baines in this week and then a definite WC next week, i'm now thinking of saving a transfer and having 2 FT next week. Would anyone change this? Only worry is likely only 3 playing Defs.

Otherwise, you MUST move Bruce, imo.

    Ok thinking of sideways move

    Lamela to Chadli this week.

Thoughts? Other option is to save it.

I did it. Lamela looks great, but numbers aren't there especially at that price.

I'd save Danny, far too sideways unless you think in this week Chadli will do brilliantly.

I reckon Chelsea will do a better job of shutting up shop than Southampton will do against Swansea.

Haha! no no. Imo Terry has a 0% chance of attacking returns this week, but clyne vs Swansea is a concern.

Clyne hasn't registered attacking returns against Swansea in the PL.

That table is pretty telling, but surely cant ignore the fixtures between Eriksen and Haz (WBA v mci)? Eriksen hit the bar and could have had a couple assists against QPR if Ade wasnt being useless too? Not trying to sound like I've already made my mind up, just my thoughts, would like to hear yours too.

Well, I posted that table, because it tells me that Eriksen would be the best benching prospect.

If you prefer to go by fixtures for an attacking player, that is what you must do.
