With the exception of a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging opening to their campaign. Seven goals in four matches makes their attacking options worthy of consideration, with the midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli hovering on our radars as potential acquisitions.

The 4-0 thrashing of QPR certainly brought Nacer Chadli firmly into the Fantasy frame as he bagged a brace and claimed 15 points. With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly promoting the Belgian international to the status of certain starter and with a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag of just 6.1, the debate over Tottenham’s attacking trio seems cut and dry.

However, Christian Eriksen’s shift to a central role in the win over Sunderland and his bundled goal in the 2-2 draw reminded us that he’s a known quantity and a proven producer after a solid 132-point campaign last year. In addition, after a season on the sidelines, largely due to injury, Argentine starlet Lamela has shown flashes of the brilliance which have gone some way to explain why Spurs shelled out £30 million for his services last summer.

In this latest article for members, we analyse this trio of targets, sifting the data available to analyse their early-season form and assess whether Chadli’s emergence has put both Eriksen and the resurgent Lamela in the shade.

Why not...It's abit daft to ake Ivan to the Etihad...I'm not even convinced he plays. Chelsea have conceded three time as many chances on his side as Azpi's...fine if they play against Leicester or QPR but not ideal against City...

You forget how he exposed City's left flank last season. City have no left winger.... Ivanovic has to be used in a positive manner to expose this again.

It will all depend on Mourinho's mind set...He may choose to go toe to toe or park the bus...In Ivanovic's case either playing him or resting him would be valid based on which option he goes for. Ivanovic has gone mad this season in terms of threat, which is great...but...against City ?....anyway we'll see...

There is no captain choice leaping out at me. Options are Costa (City A), Balotelli/Sterling (West Ham A), Adebayor (West Brom H) or Di Maria (Leicester A.) Currently favouring Adebayor but that is solely based on the fixture. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't say people have lost all sense. Most who bought McCarthy were committed to a 4m second keeper anyway, so McCarthy was worth a punt. He's young and excellent, whilst Green is 34, so there was some logic. The worst case scenario is that he is just like every other 4m keeper - non-player.

this. not unreasonable to expect him to play at some point this season... big money, top keeper.

      Henderson and Herrera

      for the next few GWs

      Any ideas would be welcomed

Find a tiny bit more money and buy Tadic. His fixtures and potential are ELECTRIC. Even more so as Sadio Mane will start playing with him soon.

Thats a tough one. Liverpool have easier fixtures but i was very impressed by Herrera against QPR. He is playing a similar role to Fabregas and caused some problems. As long as Blind stays fit and plays defensive Herrera will get forward. Defo a one to watch IMO. The choice is yours though.

Got lost in the bottom of the page so here goes attempt 2 😀
      Mannone
      Clyne, Lovren, Shawcross
Chadli, Sterling, Di Maria, Siggy, Fabregas
      Rooney, Costa
      (Krul, Naismith, N. Taylor, Collocini)

      Dying over these dilemmas:
      1. Clyne or Naylor
      2. How to accommodate Naismith in? :/

Out of them I would choose Rooney though I think this week is a good chance to be a bit riskier with the captain.
