Is Ivanovic worth it? Chelsea are leaking goals like a bucket with holes in it and I could use the funds elsewhere.

bought him in this week. watching chelsea i just see him in the box, all the time. he's bound to pick up attacking points, whatever his clean sheet potential.

Word of warning to those making their GW6 transfers already...

    GW7:
    Man Utd v Everton
    Chelsea v Arsenal
    Spurs v Southampton

2FTs ahead of that could be useful. 🙂

Transfers on a Saturday night are never a good idea
However this season's weird price changes, the resetting each week, forces some people to.

I don't understand, why? I'm not likely to be dumping assets like Costa/Hazard/Clyne/Chambers just because of one tough week... Well maybe Hazard, but defining him as an asset at this point is borderline libelous...

well maybe its only the way i think about it, but if you're left with a decision of benching welbeck, your team is wrong. i ideally want a guy i can always bench, or at the very least have 2 only ok players i can rotate. welbeck is a striker for a team that always has potential to score lots of goals

OK - in that case I can understand Welbeck. I'm surprised he's scored this early. Arsenal forwards normally take a lot of games to "bed in". It was a blunder to sub Clyne as he (or Bertrand, it's the same really) are right at the top of the defender rankings.

                Not a bad team!

I put up looking for advice and advised by most to drop clyne, I know it's my decision but that pushed me towards it. It was either welbeck or siggy and I went for siggy

Best Balotelli replacement, price not an issue.

    A) Aguero - big hitter, on penalties, but injury prone and rotation risk before CL games specially after City's defeat in Munich

    B) Welbeck - tricky fixtures but main striker for Arsenal. Good value

    C) Pelle - Lovely fixtures. Good stats. Playing well for an in-form team. Good value too.

It's quite annoying for me, it's turned my choice of Pelle last week from a home run to a single. Maybe evens when you consider the value fluctuation. But hopefully QPR will right the situation...

Yes , it a fairly even contest so far.
The only downside for Pelle owners is they will sooner or later have to swap, and Welbeck will keep rising in price faster than Pelle

Ramsey to Ozil tempts me. Ramsey is playing very deep this season, and if ozil is going to be played in the 10 role he could be a more likely source of points IMO. Thoughts? Alternative is to wait for Walcott to return and sit on Ramsey til then. Just not feeling him at the moment.

We don't know yet whether today was a one-off for Ozil. Ramsey's been scoring regular points until now so I'm keeping him.

    5. GStroz
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 10 months ago

Playing deeper? Not seeing that at all. Arsenal are more attacking this year than last, more blatant 4-1-4-1 versus what was nominally a 4-2-3-1 last year. His two goals were from as about as advanced as you can get.

      1. diabydoesgallas
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 10 months ago

I thought Ramsey is playing as one of a double pivot? I guess I mean that ozil being more advanced would make him more likely to be in good positions for points, in theory. Suppose it just comes down to whether or not either player is in form though.

I know the rule is not to take hits for defenders but surely Krul and Caulker to Forster and Baines for a minus 4 will work out well in the long run? No?
