We delve into the Gameweek 5 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s new role for United comes under analysis, as do Burnley and Leicester’s displays up front, whilst a couple of north London-based frontmen are also placed under the microscope after their contrasting weekend performances.

It's wildcard time!! 😀
So I'm looking for a defender for 4,5 or less to fill out the final spot in my team.. any better option than PvA (SWA, STK, sou, ARS, cry)? The STK fixture is essential as my other defs have it worse that GW. Don't really fancy anyone from Villa (fixtures) or Burnley (have Duff), so that doesn't really leave me with that many options.. Wilson perhaps?
The rest of the team that is going to take the world by storm, is as follows:
Fabianski 4,0
Clyne Bertrand N.Taylor Duff xx
Fabregas DiMaria Siggy Sterling 4,4
Costa Aguero Pelle-
Pva Sunderland defender.
Team looks good-
Sorry never read the rest of ur message after 4.5 or less
Oops

Repost sorry
ZOTTER
Advice please what to do:
2 FTs. Nil in bank
Begovic (Elliott)
Moreno. Pva. Bertrand. (Moore. Hutton)
Chadli. Hazard. Sterling. Di Maria. (Boyd)
Aguero. Costa. Welbeck
A. Moreno to someone
B. Pva to Chanbers
C. Hazard to Cesc
D. Aguero to Falcao
E. Use both FT for something. What?
F. Just use FT on changing Elliott or Moore?!
G. Let one FT go to waste?!-
A imo.
-
D
-
lol,no..i thought Falcao to Aguero 😀 Moreno to someone 🙂 Idk who..maybe Chambers or Wilson
-
Already have bego so no Wilson
Don't see arsenal have more chance of sheets in next two than Liverpool. And Moreno has more attacking potential
-
-
-
-
Play 2
Naylor (wba), Duff (wba), Moore (cpl)
Am starting Clyne and leaving Caulker on the bench-
First 2
-
no way you'd play Caulker over either is there?
-
Nope
-
-
-
First two
-
Naylor & Duff
-
First two
-
-
Fifa out tomorrow 😀
-
Friday no?
-
26th?
-
Out early in Ireland? Not out till Friday here
-
Out tomorrow in US. 😉
-
hehe
-
-
Lucky for you, I have to wait until the Friday release.
Do you play career mode?-
Not really. Just FUT, Seasons and Pro Clubs.
-
Ah. Let me know how it goes then! There hasn't been much hype over this fifa.
-
Will do. I'm only really getting it for Ultimate Team tbh.
Only paying 23 euro for it essentially, seeing as I'm going halves with a friend.-
Bargain
-
-
-
-
first time in many years I may not buy....no online pro clubs for 360 is devestating
-
That's a massive letdown. Is there pro clubs on ps3?
-
as far I have read no....
only on next gen consoles -
Not sure, you need to get a PS4 though. Next Gen Fifa is way nicer to play
-
Yep I've played it and loved it. Want to complete A2 at college this year then get the ps4
-
A wise move 😉
-
-
-
-
-
Career mode for me 😉
Gonna get back into FUT this season-
I love career mode
-
Yeah it's class, all PL stadiums in this one and always good to bring a club up from the lower leagues.
-
-
-
-
Thought it was Friday? Where are you?
-
Ireland but set my credit card details to being located in US, cheaper and get it earlier.
-
😎
-
-
-
I might get it until PES comes out 😉
-
-
Ramsey > ADM worth -4?
Means I will get the price rises. Also want to bring in Welbeck in a couple of weeks, while ideally having Theo long term.
Anyone thinking similar?-
No.
-
Probably

Diafro Sakho injured too..-
Ffs. 🙁
-
it's a joke account
-
Hehe. 😀
-
Piss orrrfff. You are going funny again. That is two in two days.
-
Learning from yours truly 😉
-
-
-
-
-
''ruptured testicle''
-
... 😀
-
-
-
A) Naismith to ulloa
B) naismith and Lovren to pelle and Naylor for -4?-
i'm in a similar boat, looking @ yours id say A
-
-
My team:
Krul, Elliot
Terry, Lovern, Clyne, Naylor, Wisdom
Ramsey, Cesc, Sterling, Siggy, Young
Costa, Rooney, Austin
2 FT, 0.9 ITB
any thoughts on the best move?
1: Rooney, Austin & Lovern out for Aguero, Ulloa & Trippier (-4)
2: JT & Austin out for Trippier & Pelle
3: Young & Austin out for Downing (or other around 5.5mil or less) & Ulloa
4: any better ideas-
3
-
cheers 😉
-
-
-
Ward-Prowse... Anyone read or know update on extent of injury this wk end. Was considering as 5th midfielder or who recommend around 5m. Have ADM, Fabregas, Sterling, Ramsey.
-
Arfield should be due something with his stats and fixtures...Kranjcar looking good...
-
just dehydration due to severe goal-drought
-
-
Ramsey to Fabregas for -8? Or is that nuts?
-
Nuts.
-
One transfer can't be -8
-
Did Rooney to Ulloa and Ward Prowse to Di Maria.
So yes - this would take me to -8....-
The transfer itself is only -4, irrelevant to any other hits you have taken. Do you think Cesc outscores Ramsey by 4? If yes then take the hit.
-
-
-
-
Ramsey and Rooney to Di Maria and Welbeck sound a good knee jerk?
-
could be
-
-
Pelle to rise tonight on Fiso, but not TFPL . . . who to trust?
-
Nobody.
-
fpl statistics according to pasq who seems to be very on the ball with al things price changes
-
Fiso are 10% short.
-
-
Am trying to split hairs between Pelle and Welbeck, but why not both? Central to their attacks, price allows for heavy hitters elsewhere. Anyone have the two?
-
I suggested this on the last page.
-
I will go and upvote it now!
-
-
GW 06:
Begovic
Chambers, Clyne, Ivanovic
Hazard, Ramsey, Sterling, Sigurdsson
Costa(c), Welbeck, Pellè(vc)
Green; Davis, N Taylor, Dummett ... 0FT 2.3 ITB-
Doos.
2 frees. Tadic + Balotelli to ADM + Pelle?-
No. Not ADM. Imo.
-
Hm. I'm 60/40 on him.
Forster
Clyne Ivano ShawX
Tadic Sterling Cesc Siggy
Balotelli Adebayor Costa
McCarthy, Boyd, Hutton, Moore.
2FT's, 0.3 ITB. Suggestions?-
It is a great team.
Just Ballotelli to Pellè.-
Would have 4 Southampton players. 🙁
-
Falcao
-
-
-
-
-
-
Lovely team Doos.
-
Ta. 😀
-
-
Needs more cowbell.
-
Who dat? 🙂
-
Nevermind. Its and SNL sketch 🙂
Really though, no UTD?-
No.
-
Fair enough.
-
-
-
-
-
That is a great looking team.
-
Thank you. Hope the points actually come, this week.
-
-
-
I will do come GW8
-
The million dollar question.
Fully expecting to spend six or seven hours actively thinking about this before deadline 😳-
I hear that. I should have thought about clearing my calendar before hitting the Wild Card. Where will I find the time to decide?
-
-
I like the idea, but would you not want 2 out of Sturridge, Rooney/Falcao, Costa & Aguero? I've settled on Pelle, will probably reconsider once ARS fixtures come good again..
-
Once you unshackle yourself from the chains of Aguero ownership, much can be accomplished.
-
I am a non owner, just saying 🙂
-
-
-
it's a good idea tbh
-
Yes. Pellbeck (c).
-
What about Ulloa?
-
Cheers for the replies.
-
I have Ulloa and Pelle now. Suddenly I have a 3.4 sized mountain of cash to throw at Baines and anyone else I want in the next few weeks.
-
I have WC'd both in
-
-
My team looks so bloody good for this GW but I've been playing this stupid game for far too long.
Hellllo 41 points 😎-
Yep!
-
too much time spent stalking FFS users RCA, 😉
-
True, true.
-
-
41 Points you will be lucky!
-
-
pulled the trigger on Mata & Ramsey out for Cesc & ADM for a hit. Really annoyed no one has cracked the code for the price changes yet, it cost me 0.2m doing it a day late 😀
-
FPL have deliberately blocked the data these tools need. So if you want to blame anyone...
-
Yeah, I figured it was a Dr Evil-esque character somewhere at FPL towers...
-
He's probably reading all these moans and cackling maniacally.
-
So evil...
-
-
-
-
-
Moreno
Rafael
Clyne
Moore
Naylor
Which 3 to play this week?-
Clyne, Naylor and either Rafa or Moore
-
Rafa Clyne and Naylor
-
1,2,3
-
Clyne, Naylor, Rafael
-
-
Thoughts guys?
Begovic
Ivanovic, Clyne, Bertrand
Fabregas, Sterling, Di Maria, Siggy
Rooney(vc), Costa(c), Ulloa
Bench: McCarthy, Moreno, Moore, Boyd -
On Wildcard lads please some final thoughts
A) Smalling, Boyd, Falcao
B) Azpilicueta, Ramsey, Ulloa or Naismith
Schmeichel / Forster
Chambers, Duff , Jagielka, Lovren, XXX
ADM, Fabregas, Sterling, Siggy , XXX
Costa, Welbeck, XXX
Thanks-
A, but better options than Smalling
-
pieters. wilson ?
-
Clyne, Bertrand, N Taylor, Moore etc.
-
-
-
Not smalling. Boyd, Moore or a decent 4.5 if you can afford and get Aguero. If that works. Alt, drop Lovren back down to clyne and get 2 5ms.
-
-
Evans out for a hit?
Chambers the likely replacement. I can get a decent defence out this week without the transfer but concerned about losing team value.
Advice?-
Wait for a FT. Chambers hardly guaranteed to get a cleanie this week.
-
If you can play decent defenders then a hit is not worth it.
-
if you can get 3 defenders out without a hit then leave it
and let this be a lesson to you
DO NOT BUY JONNY EVANS
*puts soapbox away* -
Cheers all. Typical Evans punishment here 🙁
-
It's the hope that kills you
-
-
-
A) Forster - Rooney - Henderson
B) Krul - Welbeck - Pelle (-4)
A lot of things to consider here, one of them being Sturridge's return from injury helping Henderson.
That being said, I'm leaning towards option B. -
Free transfer
Dzeko > Pelle
(Pelle Balo Rooney)
Or
-4 hit
Dzeko > Pelle
Balo > Costa
(Pelle Costa Rooney)
Will Costa get 4 more than Balo?
I don't have cash to get Costa without a hit
Not sure if going against 60% possession is going to pay off.
Does anyone here not have Costa and will resist? -
How is this potential WC team looking?
Forster (4.0)
Clyne / Baines / Duff / Wisdom / Hutton
Fabregas / Di Maria / Sterling / Downing / Marney
Aguero / Costa / Welbeck -
Tons of people with early transfers this week, must be Di Maria mania, eh?
-
My knees jerked so hard they're now my elbows
-
Mine too, that's what a red arrows does 😉
-
I got a green arrow 😉
-
I got a brand new key ...
-
why, did someone punch you somewhere not very nice?
-
"I got a pair of roller-skates - you gotta brand new key ..."
Sheesh.
-
-
-
-
-
-
That and Naismith > Ulloa I think.
-
Yep, that too
-
-
Fo sure.
2 FTs done last night.
Mata, Moreno -> Di Maria, Shackell-
Can't argue with those, RCA
-
Good moves IMO
-
Very solid.
-
-
-
How do you pronounce Ulloa?
I have heard so many different ways from U-cho-wa to U-jo-a-
Ulloa
-
U-zo-a
-
Ouija..board.
-
U-joa
-
The Spanish double L is more like a Y. Argentinians would pronounce it more like a J though. Hence, "u-Jo-a"
-
U-yo-a
It's spanish mate, ll's sounds like y's -
uh-yo-ah, every commentator insists on saying uh-jo-a for some reason though
-
Thanks all for clearing that up - it's much clearer now the options have been narrowed down to 17
-
-
This article is beautiful. The first two numbers highlight exactly why I did Rooney>Pelle yesterday. It's reassuring to read this after coming to exactly the same conclusion yesterday. 🙂
-
who to start?
Naylor or Duff? have Ivan and Bertrand-
Duffy
-
Duff
-
-
cheers!
-
-
Looking forward to Fifa this week...should be good. Still no FF game attached to it though. I've no idea why they don't incorporate it, they have absolutely all the tools they need.
-
Rooney & Austin to Pelle & Ulloa (2 FTs)
other CF is Costa -
So, Sanogo and Walcott back shortly after GW 8 , when Arsenals fixtures improve. Throw Sanchez and Giroud in the mix too.
How nailed on or otherwise will Welbeck be?-
Very.
-
Giroud is still a bit away think it'll be a while for Theo
Welbz is better than Sanogo -
More than most of the others...Ramsey and Welbeck will see most minutes IMO..
-
-
Can anyone help me decide on which 2 to play from:
Naylor
Duff
Wisdom
PVA-
The 2 at home.
-
So wisdom and PVA?
-
Yes
-
-
-
Duff, Naylor,
-
Naylor and WIsdom
-
