Granville’s lackadaisical approach to the new campaign might just explain why he’s treading water. Missing deadlines and price rises, my ScoutCast co-host badly needs to introduce some organisation into his season if he’s to keep pace – the man needs a PA – get your applications in.

With Granville floundering, I’ve decided to lay down my Wildcard to potential rub further salt into his wounds. Is it a chronic case of “jerky knee”? Granville certainly thinks (hopes) so.

We chat over my Wildcard revolution, analyse how the heavy-hitting midfielders are failing to pull their weight and rinse through the usual regulars in the same disorganised fashion.

Minute this meeting via this link or set your own agenda via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Attractive option indeed. I'm happy with Ulloa for now, though may need to make a move soon if Welbeck carries on his form. Hoping that he blanks against Chelsea to halt his price rise for now though

Henderson or Siggy out this week for Mane? Neither have really delivered last few weeks and prefer Henderson as a player, yet Siggy had new castle....In all, feeling that soton could do well v spurs this week

I agree with you about Henderson and if Liverpool played to his strengths he'd be regularly in the points. They don't, so ditch him and keep Sig.

    C'mon DZ

    4th repost (this week)

2-tier draft league starting this Sunday night (after the games).

Both leagues are 20-team leagues. Will expand to three leagues next season. Bottom three teams in leagues relegated down. Top 3 teams in lower leagues promoted.

If interested, e-mail planeticket@mail.com and I will send you an e-mail back from my hotmail account that I don't want to post in a public forum.

    * Going out the door, won't post again for many hours, though those of you in the league here can feel free to share. Have room for about 20 more entrants, at least.

Do you only need to be present for the initial draft, or are there more commitments? What are the other rules, like trading players and such?

          1. Get up ya bum
            • 16 Years
            11 years, 4 months ago

You need to be open to transfer talks all season. There's nothing worse than dead teams as their players become null and void. You can also claim free agents regularly and obviously need to set your team weekly

          2. Heels_Over_Head
            • 12 Years
            11 years, 4 months ago

you've got 9 hours to make each draft pick... so hopefully you can be present within that time range... or you can e-mail me a list of option of who you want with your next draft pick and (as commissioner) I'll do it for you (I don't open those e-mails until its your pick)

players from free-agent pool can be picked up on wednesday and thursday (in turn for dropping a player)

trades of players between managers can be done

scoring is as similar to FFS as possible, except Fantrax is stingier with awarding assists

your team name will need to be the name of an injury (as the league name is Knocks & Niggles), and a paranthetical inclusion of your FFS name (so people know who you are here). For example, I am

Got it. Getting it clearer now, with your response below. fyi I had to stay up at 4am to participate in the initial NBA draft - hard for me to do it ever again.

If it's slow draft then you can count me in. Just not sure about how to pick up initial players atm.

          Okay NABIL

Exactly why I do a slow draft. Was in another league before I started mine last season where I had to get up in the middle of the night to have a draft. Seems kind of ridiculous. We had 12 hours on the clock last year and those who participated last year voted to drop it to 9 this season (as I put a number of things to a vote for people who were in it last year to try and make things better this year)

      @acqua et al

      draft league on Fantrax

very focused on having active people and being an active commissioner; try to post new articles about league(s) at least twice per month or more when I can

    4. Heels_Over_Head
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 4 months ago

by the way, for all... the draft is built as a "slow draft" so we can have people from around the world in the draft and no one has to wake up at a weird time or take a very long "coffee break" from work to participate...

it takes longer, but keeps some chat going in the draft room for about a week to ten days... which helps the international break pass

leagues are 20-teams to make it challenging, and make fixing your team from problems a deeper challenge... last year's winner survived injuries to Walcott and Jay Rodriguez to hang on by 3 points for the win

He's been surprisingly creative since his return...very creative. His goal threat is almost on par with Ulloa as well. On top of that, AB pointed out that if Ulloa's main goal threat comes in the air, then he might struggle against the likes of Duff and Shackell, like he did against Palace.
Ulloa's ownership is way too high to be a differential anyway

I fancy a high scoring game...but FWIW Hull have kept 1 this season, and Palace 2.

If I had to choose...since this is probably a benching dilemma....I'd go for Palace.

Front eight are good though, you only need to play three defenders per week, so next week turn chester into maybe a west ham defender

It might actually be worth a minus 4 this week to bring in a west ham defender, they have a good chance of a cleanie

Probably Ramsey--->Di Maria(-4) before his goal+assist against Leicester, and a Rambo blank.

Although, some of my other transfers probably cancel the benefits of the above out... 🙁

      Hazard (c) GW2 😎

For Transfer move, in the same boat with Merseyside Red - none of my transfers have paid off in the same week they were made. Only Naismith -> Pelle recently, perhaps. But I chickened out last minute and didn't captain him so it's a bit frustrating.

    MY SQUAD:

    Krul / McCarthy
    Ivanovic / Clyne / Taylor / Chambers / Moore
Di Maria / Fabregas / Sterling / Sigurdsson / Boyd
    Aguero / Costa / Ulloa

    I have 1 FT

    Wondering if I should:
    a) Save
    b) Krul -> GK
    c) Ivanovic -> Baines

    1. Sebbo29

Krul is not ideal but the rest of the team is fine so I'd prob save the FT. Then you'll have 2 FT during intl break which could come in very handy. BTW, like your comment for b): trsf Krul to a GK which means Krul is not a GK 😉 Ivan to Baines is too sideways imo, would not do that at all

Chester to Chambers looks worth it but you cant play him this week. I think Van Aan will do the job for next few weeks. Tomkins was tipped by Sarjaent couple of days back.

difficult I see as you have wisdom and marney out this week for different reasons-there is some talk chester might play,if he doesn't hutton would come in for you...not a disaster but yes unlikely CS....
I think you do have a long standing weak def but don't panic-ie wait for international break to see how things drop+ dont touch chambers this week as costa will get him sent off-wisdom should be back for you next GW

I know we say that it's not worth a hit for a defender, but getting Chambers/Taylor/PvA could be worth it for Chester. If you have other transfers you want to make next week then it'll be a hit next week regardless.

Got a bit of a midfield issue on my draft style fantasy game, need to pick up someone who is a bit of a differential as most known/good ones taken and I have injuries so need a one week replacement. God damn the captaincy this week. Stuck between Aguero and Costa and it really is a lottery. Fancy both City and Chelsea to score 2 or 3 goals and think both players will play roughly 70 minutes. There's nothing to pick between them one will probably end up with 10 points and the other 2 😐

      Easy one imo. Aguero.

Arsenal ain't no Villa or Swansea. Altough I'm expecting Costa to score.

Is it fair to say a lot of players will be starting on -4 this week due to having to ship out Rooney and Ramsey?

I know its too early but anyone else considering Pelle -> Welbeck after this gameweek? In my opinion Costa,Aguero,Welbeck is way to go in next 8 gameweeks.

Currently have CAP, would love to squeeze Welbeck in but Pelle could easily outscore him, he has great fixtures too.
