Granville’s lackadaisical approach to the new campaign might just explain why he’s treading water. Missing deadlines and price rises, my ScoutCast co-host badly needs to introduce some organisation into his season if he’s to keep pace – the man needs a PA – get your applications in.

With Granville floundering, I’ve decided to lay down my Wildcard to potential rub further salt into his wounds. Is it a chronic case of “jerky knee”? Granville certainly thinks (hopes) so.

We chat over my Wildcard revolution, analyse how the heavy-hitting midfielders are failing to pull their weight and rinse through the usual regulars in the same disorganised fashion.

Minute this meeting via this link or set your own agenda via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I would sure hope so as a James C owner, though their fixtures are so miserable, I can't see when I'd play him.

Walcott, and Ox will be big competition for Sanchez natural place in the team, Arsenal for me are quite unbalanced as a squad. Ozil is probably a better investment, cheaper, and more consistent game time.

Any advice on who to take out of my team from Fab and Hazard? Not confident with triple Chelsea attack for the next few weeks (I have Costa too).

Should be straightforward after Hazard's form but I'm hearing Fab is playing deeper now?

OR he'll play as the No. 10 because he's more defensively responsible than Oscar. It's hard to determine.

I think the opposite might happen honestly, he'll be part of a 3 man midfield instead which is better.

I think Fabregas will be moved in to the hole against Arsenal and Oscar benched with Matic and Mikel coming in to midfield.

But Fabregas is a good choice, he puts at least one chance on the plate for other players every game and sometimes gets in to the box

Having watched every chelsea match, I feel he is getting closer to his first league goal

Guys need some help on Jedinak or Welbeck this week. I think people just see the name and go "Welbeck!" but Jedinak is playing a more attacking role in a central 3 midfield and is playing the "Pirlo" role. He also has 2 goals in 2.

Welbeck has Chelsea and I cannot see him scoring.

Someone tell me it's not a stupid idea to play a 5-man midfield and bench Welbeck?

    team would be :

    Heaton
    Ivanovic - Clyne - Duff
    ADM - Sterling - Fabrgeas - Siggy - Jedinak
    Costa - Augero[C]

    1. FantaCity
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 4 months ago

Welbz will be brimming with confidence after his midweek hattie - I reckon he could put one past Chelsea. Jedinak is a solid player, but not gonna score many overall

      1. Fader
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 4 months ago

My only worry is he needs (before the gala game) too many chances to score. I can't see that Chelsea game giving Arsenal more than 1 goal (if that)

Hull-Palace I can see being a 2-2 (Hull had a couple of 2-2s in a row infact) and Jeds is a playmaker in that team recently

        Arghh

    Front 8 of

Davis. Affordable right? With the 2.8 in the bank. And play ahead of Naismith.

But I see you're intending to get Welbz in. So maybe not.

I would if it was a long term play, but can see you want Welbeck in next week, so maybe that's a better play with Arsenal attack coverage.

That's a bit harsh now as he is away to Chelsea so I wouldn't be that dramatic.

I think Chelsea will beat Arsenal and Saints will beat Spurs. It's Welbeck or Mane so isn''t it about going with what you think the results will be????

I just cant get my head round all this Ulloa love. Seems like a waste of the vital 3rd forward place. He scored 14 goals in 35 apperance last season in the championship & has been eating in burger king all summer. Yes yes i know 5 in 6 apperances, but going by previous seasons that cannont last & surely being a out of condition 28 year old stepping up a division he'll be hard pushed to better his tally from last season

      Begovic
      Kelly Dier Debuchy*
      Siggy Fab DiMaria Ramsey* Sterling
      Costa(c) Naismith

      Bench: Mannone Bojan Wisdom Cameron

Team is looking a bit shaky for this week.
      Want to do:

      Naismith --> Pelle
      Debucy --> Clyne
      Ramsey --> which 8.5?

for an 8pt hit. Any suggestions pls?

You need to get rid of Debuchy, Cameron, Bojan, Dier, Kelly and Naismith imo.

Play the wildcard and sort it all out.

B save transfer, play tadic bench mirallas and have two frees for next week

What 4.4 or less defender should I change Duff for?

Would rather not double up on any defence and have got Begovic, Naylor, PVA, Clyne and Moreno as well.

        Moore.

          Thanks.

Got 2 FT's anyways, so might as well. Won't make any other transfers and they didn't look too solid against WBA to say the least.

      Grimandi
Ulloa had 16 goals 5 assists last season. 16 and 4 the season prior. 29 goals in Spain's 2nd tier the season before that. This is all comps btw.

      Morning all 🙂

I'm on WC and soon to be going away for the weekend so want to get my team wrapped up before I go...

Can anyone see any concerns with this team for this GW and near future?

      Fabianski (Mannone)
      Bertrand, Moore, Shawcross (Naylor, Wisdom)
      Siggy, Fab, Sterling, Downing (Chadli)
      Costa, Pelle, Aguero

I want to have a decent 5th midfielder in case aguero or costa get injured. Got 0.6ITB with this team for future change

      Any thoughts ?

My aim is to play downing for the next couple of games and then ship him out... unless he remains on top form, then ...... I don't know

I have almost the same front 8 as you (Marney instead of Chadli though), and I'm thinking the same. But I'm not feeling too confident, kind of wished I'd gone with Chadli to be honest.
