Good evening ladies and gentlemen, sportsfans and rugby fans!...

Following the narrowest of losses to Germany the all blacks await us!

Highly backed as one of the tourney favourites we face New Zealand who very much like the Welsh are better known for playing with their odd shaped balls and their penchant for fleecy foreplay!

No more more wooly one liners here though...we mean business. Sat at second in the group we are only too wise to the fact that victory this weekend will climb us right up to the top of this mountainous group...into cloud 9! (a place the New Zealenders will find to be unfamiliar territory as their game (sheep) never venture that far up!)

We know it won't be an easy game and respect our opponents and their style of play...they're very much the Stoke of the tourney...very strong, robust and are keen to put the boot in with their brand of rugby...erm sorry...football, however if they want to come out and be a bunch of "hakas" they'll find we can stand up for ourselves...the white wash may have slipped from our grasp but we'll make sure that the all blacks leave the field all black and blue!

We may be short of bog roll this time round but we're not short of courage... Kiwis...prepare for your second extinction!

    Hello, everyone.

That loss against Argentina did hurt, but it was good to see our boys win so comfortably against the Koreans. Looks like the pressure of being the host nation had initially got to us, but yeah, we have channeled the support into optimism now.

Now, here's the big match against our archrivals Germany. Berbagod, you are a nice friend, but I don't really know the rest of your team, but I'm pretty sure I would like to establish the supremacy of FFS over TFPL in this game. Exactly why, I hope we do have the support of the fellow FFS teams around here. I really do.

Coming to the team now. I benched Djerbil last week because I took a -4, and he did extremely well to get 56 points last week. Shame I didn't get the manager of the week award three times in a row, but guess what matters is those 3 points.

So this week, I still continue to believe in the ideology of banked points. Seems like a very random week THIS, and a lot of similar teams, so I have decided to bench Djerbil, HVT and Snake Juice because they took a hit. Which brings me to the toss of a coin for the last spot. The captain MJ6897 looked at his defence with a Chester-sized hole, and has decided to take a breather for this week. A brave decision, THAT.

Also, hence, Timtastic03, rightfully, will be (c) for this week, after some great work in analysing the TFPL buggers, and doing what Reedy has done so well in the past three weeks. NABIL remains vice. Cheers to that.

So, that's what our XI will be like for this week.

    Timtastic03 (c)
    N.A.B.I.L (vc)
    Roscola
    Siva Mohan
    Pompeyfan
    iCon
    Little Lukin
    Kuqi Monster
    Irish Madridista
    Fantasy Freak
    Reedy

Best of luck to all the other teams for the week.
And Gauchos, you keep on winning. Love the work you've been doing at the game and at this site. 😉

    Cheers,
    Saniul.

From a newbie on the site a mere month ago to the Dutch captain in a FFS vs. TFPL duel 😀 Cheers to Sainul and the skipper MJ for the support and Reedy for showing me the ropes! Lets do this! Hup Holland Hup!

I think they call it a meteoric rise (which makes no sense because meteors go down not up but never mind that). Congrats and thanks again for your hard work behind the scenes. 🙂

Cheers, you have earned this captaincy for the week, I must say Tim. Cheers, and I'll bank on you to lead the team to victory this week. 😉

      Good luck Netherlands 🙂

We got beaten by the Germans by the slimmest of margins as the ref didn't give us 2 clear penalties. They like to park the bus and play anti-football. Teach them what the game is all about and how it should be played.

Other press conferences may win the awards, but Team Korea press conferences remain the only ones the television cameras show up to. Team Korea's popularity is so widespread, now we're holding pressers for Spanish television.

Oh, the irony. With that attitude you should be a mainstay in an Aussie team... 😉

You are playing WR, if we go by the team sheet on the HWC page. Not sure it has been updated from last week though.

Malaysia will be 0-3 after this week it seems. England won't lose two in a row- in fact last weeks loss was a tactical ploy to drop under the radar.
