After the best Gameweek tally in living memory, I reserve the right for a bit of a gloat. Having risked the Wildcard back in Gameweek 7, the stars aligned and everything fell into place last weekend, leaving my ScoutCast co-host, grumpy Granville, grabbing at straws and smashing TV sets in frustration.

After last season’s defeat, I revel in my moment of glory but still find time to lock horns with Granville over the great Costa debate. Is Jose playing with our minds? I certainly think so but, as Granville points out, I reckon the Lunar landings were fake. I love a good conspiracy, me.

      Fabregas or Pelle imo will be captained by many. But most in the top 20k have Aguero so he'll be the main captain choice around that rank.

        Yeah. This is what I figure. Big boom or bust prospect. But get your captain choice right with someone other than Kun while he stays relatively quiet and you could shoot up the rankings.

    Haven't decided if I want to sell Sterling, but just tempted to just because I feel team form and the way theyre set up without Sturridge just doesn't bode well for his returns. I doubt he will be used as a striker and am not getting ahead of myself for his OOP prospects. That said,

    A) Sterling > Hazard
    B) Sterling > Sanchez
    C) Stelring > Hazard, Costa > Welbeck (2 FTs, with enough in bank to reverse the Welbeck Costa trade for QPR if necessary).

    Howdy DZ! I could really use a couple extra opinions on my options this week. I've done fairly well for myself so far and I think my next few decisions will be important if I want to keep pace. The major decision is whether to get Kun or not at the expense of Costa. This is my team for the week if I stick and make no transfers.

    Bertrand - Baines - Clyne
    Fabs - ADM - Siggy (vc) - Sterling
    Welbeck - Pelle (C) - Costa

    Krul - Naylor - Downing - PVA

    Do I:
    a) Do nothing and play Costa with Naylor as first sub and save 2 FT for next week
    b) Costa + Sterling > Aguero + Chadli (-4)
    c) Costa + ADM > Aguero + Eriksen (-4)
    d) Costa + Downing > Aguero + Boyd (though I'd like to keep Downing to cover Siggy in the next few weeks)
    e) Any other suggestions 😀

        I'm leaning towards A. I think Naylor is decent enough cover. Though Kun is so tempting and his price is skyrocketing. I also kind of want some Spurs cover for their next few fixtures. This ADM doubt isn't making things easier either

          I think A is okay too. If you take a hit and get Kun in and captain him you will still be maybe even looking at a red due to the points hit. Although I don't think Kun will blank, I think you are better off not taking a hit and just praying and hoping he stays quiet at Upton Park. This way you can bring him in next week for free and have an extra week to buy time with Costa. I also think you would be very foolish to play Naylor ahead of Downing on that bench...but that's just me.

            I just want Kun so bad! I've resisted so long I feel like he's gonna dry up as soon as I get him in. Just to see Costa come back for QPR and bag a hat trick 😆

      Assuming you couldn't get Aguero for free? Hmm, definitely not C because alot of what United does goes through AdM, and they're scoring goals...just defence is bad.

        Very similar to my team, although I have Hazard and Kun to your Cesc and DC.

        It's a really tough call. And Jose is unlikely to provide any useful information.

        However, Aguero when fit is like Suarez. I would do whatever you have to to get him in.

            I think having both plus Baines creates too much imbalance in the squad. Having made the decision not to get both, it then becomes choice of who you think will score most points between the two.

                I have 3 decent ones this week (Moreno, Clyne, Hutton) and I'll keep Coloccini. Yeah, I want to sell PVA, but don't know if that would be for a -4.

                  I really wouldn't sell Costa unless he's confirmed out for QPR too. I learnt a big lesson last time, missing out on 5 goals in 2 games.
