Our Watchlist rankings, which offer player recommendations over the next four to six Gameweeks, have been updated over the last 24 hours.

At the back, Tottenham’s upturn in fixtures affords Hugo Lloris and Younes Kaboul the chance to climb in our rankings. The former sits six points clear at the top of the FPL keeper standings and, at 5.6, his save point potential strengthens his claim as a legitimate option for those willing to splash the cash between the sticks. With Newcastle, Stoke, Everton and Palace rolling up to the Lane in the next seven, in addition to trips to Hull and Villa, Kaboul’s kinder 5.0 price tag may turn some heads – he’s earned bonus in two of the three occasions his side have delivered a clean sheet.

Elsewhere in north London, Calum Chambers is available for selection after serving a one-match suspension. Whilst his budget 4.6 price tag is very much in the summer signing’s favour, his lack of discipline (five yellows in six league starts) and the Gunners’ poor defensive displays – one clean sheet so far – somewhat negates his appeal. At that cost, though, he could be a bargain if Arsene Wenger’s side can rediscover the resilience that racked up 17 clean sheets last season – they now have Sunderland, Burnley, Swansea and West Brom in the next five.

With Burnley, Swansea, Sunderland, West Ham and Hull in the next six Gameweeks, Everton stopper Tim Howard is on the up. The Toffees served up a second clean sheet of the season against Villa last time around and with the likes of Seamus Coleman back, their defensive prospects look enticing – at 5.4, though, Howard isn’t cheap and with Phil Jagielka (5.5) offering an alternative for those unwilling to fork out on Coleman and/or Leighton Baines, Howard’s appeal is a little diminished.

Villa pair Brad Guzan and Ron Vlaar tentatively edge up the rankings. With a horrendous set of fixtures finally behind them, Paul Lambert’s side will be hoping to return to the form that saw them concede just once in the first four Gameweeks – at 4.6 and 4.5 respectively, they could prove decent value as the midlands side face QPR, West Ham, Burnley, Palace and Leicester in the next few rounds of fixtures.

Having conceded nine times in the last three, Burnley’s defence are looking a far cry from the side that racked up a trio of successive shut-outs between Gameweeks 3-6. Clearly, with Sean Dyche’s side needing goals, they’re leaving themselves open to opposition attacks and back-to-back matches against Everton and Arsenal look daunting for owners of Tom Heaton and Kieran Trippier. The schedule from Gameweek 11-15, however, (HUL, sto, AVL, NEW, qpr) should persuade owners to hold, though.

In midfield, Alexis Sanchez is the main climber after taking his tally to three goals and an assist in his last four starts last weekend. The Arsenal man is far from budget friendly at 10.3 but he’s starting to motor now and with fears over rest and rotation diminishing, looks at excellent differential at 11% ownership.

Tottenham pair Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen come into contention. At 6.4 to the Dane’s 7.8, Chadli remains the best value route into Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield and whilst Eriksen has produced more returns in recent matches – three goals in five – Chadli still offers a greater threat from inside the area as he looks to add to his four goals for the season.

A fourth blank in five last weekend means our faith in Gylfi Sigurdsson is starting to wane. Granted, a home clash with Leicester will persuade his 46% owners keep the faith but the following three (eve, ARS, mcy) may persuade some to part company with a player who has managed just two shots in the last five Gameweeks.

David Silva’s standing also takes a fall. Despite being handed the role in “the hole” last weekend, the Spaniard blanked for the sixth time in seven Gameweeks – City may be scoring for fun right now but the Spaniard is having little influence on our Fantasy seasons and is offering little to suggest he’s worth the 9.1 outlay.

Up front, budget pair Diafra Sakho (5.6) and Saido Berahino’s (5.7) superb value enables both to clamber up the rankings. After scoring in the last six in all competitions, Sakho has now averaged eight points per start for West Ham – whilst this weekend’s home clash with City is a deterrent, he has just one tricky fixture in the subsequent eight to bring in the points. Berahino’s strike against United took his tally to six for the campaign and with Palace, Leicester and Newcastle in the next three, has the platform to produce yet again.

Newcastle’s Papiss Cisse edges into consideration after delivering four goals and an assist in four appearances. Impressively, the Senegal international has averaged 7.5 per match despite featuring in the first XI on just two occasions as he recovers from injury – at 5.9, he’s now played a part in all five of his side’s goals from Gameweek 4 onwards.

DON'T give him 'one more game.' People are so so biased to what's on the fixture ticker. But Siggy has done well away already, Everton is not a difficult place to score and this game was 3-2 last season.

I think A is better. Ramsey's taking a lot of flak for his form but from an FPL standpoint he was solid before his injury and firing lots of shots.

A all day long. Rambo will be playing further up without Ozil in the hole, I expect him to get in the box more now. Also Walcott and Sanchez will stretch teams giving more space to people getting in the box late.

Tadic had one great game but Pelle offers more consistent returns, not to mention Mane likely starting will affect Tadic's output more. Lukaku can be hit and miss, Everton do have great fixtures but most players are happy to stick with Baines for Everton output.

Haven't made the decision whether or not sell Sterling, but just based on team form and set up with Sturridge out, I'm not bullish on his prospects - and don't think Rodgers will field him as striker in the PL so soon.

That being said, thoughts on the below?

    A) Sterling > Hazard (1 FT)
    B) Sterling > Sanchez (2 FT, with Bardsley > Vlaar/Hutton the other)

    Thanks!

Siggy.... what do we think after the Leicester game?

    GW10-12: eve/ARS/mci

    GW13 onwards:
    CPL/QPR/whm/TOT/hul/AVL/liv/qpr/WHM

i.e. straight after the difficult fixtures, he then has an excellent run of games. Especially in those two immediate home games, he has the potential to punish sellers.

You'd want to sell him for the 3 GWs and get him straight back...... but we've all got serious value tied up and him/Chadli stand head and shoulders above in the mid-price bracket. 😕

    Thoughts?

Evertons defence by no means solid, Swansea tend to do well against Arsenal too. Wouldn't have any hesitation to play him against those 2 teams. Probably benched against MCI as Swansea will be on defensive mode at Etihad.

A few ramblings on Angel Di Maria.

Just had a glance at the second half footage and there didn't appear to be any incident that would cause concern, no heavy tackles or late challenges, indeed, most of the time West Brom appeared content to stand off him rather than lunge in. So, in all likelihood, I’d suggest he picked up a slight knock in the first half that became more pronounced as the second half wore on.

He plays until the 75th minute of the second half and displays full mobility and balance without signs of deficits or injury. The only sign of a problem comes in the 64th minute, where he stops momentarily and massages the outside of the upper thigh, a localised action congruent with a ‘dead leg’ type injury. He then continues without mechanical hindrance until he is subbed, where he steadily jogs to the touch-line, balanced and without obvious impediment. The position of the ice pack afterwards is also consistent with a quadriceps contusion or ‘dead leg’ type injury.

All things considered, having observed gait, mechanical actions and weight bearing symmetry, I would hazard a guess at this being a lower end grade 1 contusion that with management should be resolved within a week and due to the importance of the match at the weekend I feel United’s most influential player should be fit to start.

Unfortunately I'm as much in the dark as anybody else, there is no footage to go on. I initially thought that Mourinho was up to his old tricks and because of the run of matches he played, he was being rested for a couple of easier fixtures only to be unleashed, fresh, against United...but now with the hospital and groin reports I'm not so sure...need further news, but looking more pessimistic by the day, no?

Coleman and Baines with a history of heavy attacking returns though hence the price difference

Definitely. I think Chambers is great value but I'll be playing Baines - Bertrand - Clyne for the next 4 so no room for him at the moment

    Please pick 1 to bench.

    A) Chadli (Newcastle home)
    B) Berahino (Palace home)
    C) Siggy (Leicester home)

Other attackers - Di Maria, Sterling, Tadic, Costa, Aguero

            Fair enough,

I just don't trust Jose - remember when he said on a friday afternoon that Costa was struggling to make the game against Everton the next day. We all know what happened there.

Thoughts welcome on approach, I have 2 FT's, thinking transfer costa to Pelle this GW to roll over 2 FT to following week then assuming Costa is fit bring him back in for Pelle but would have to downgrade Moreno to a 5m defender assuming a loss, thinking Kabul !

Has he ever blatantly said that Costa will be out ahead of any game so far this season?

What winds me up is the fact that if costa has been in hospital for a week, then what are the odds that not one nurse or doctor or cleaner or visitor has not mentioned the fact to a friend or relative who just happens to play fantasy football or is even a Chelsea fan or both, the non information about this fact alone is completely staggering to me,its like costa is a fecking alien or royalty the nobody seems to see him in the outside world is baffling, not as if London is a quiet hamlet...pppfffffffffffttttttt...

Thoughts anyone. 0.1 in the bank. Thinking of sticking and maybe downgrading Costa after Sunday if his injury is bad and long-term, making funds available for a Krul upgrade.

    Krul (Elliot)
    Wisdom/Clyne/Jagielka (Hutton/PVA)
    Sanchez/Fabregas/Sterling/Sigurdsson (Downing)
    Sahko/Aguero/Costa

People are far too worried about Siggy IMO

Bar the Southampton game, where they played most of it with 10 men, he's returned in every home game.

Yea I'm not concerned at all. His goal involvement % says it all. If Swansea get a goal, he's highly likely to be involved. Hard pressed to find someone around his price that offers as much value (playmaker, on all set pieces, team actually plays good football).

Fact that he's all that for 6.0 enables you to get one or 2 extra big hitters. Why sell him?

They played pretty well in the first half against Stoke and could have been 3 up in the first half with a goal and assist from Siggy if they took their chances. Stoke upped their game in the 2nd half and Swansea just lost their way once the home crowd got going.

Personally not bothered, have other issues to worry about! Like double Stoke defence 😯

    Thoughts?

    Guzan (Myhill)
    Baines, Chambers, Hutton (Wisdom, Dummett)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Erikson, Sterling (Obertan)
    Aguero, Pelle, Welbeck

    Good to go?

Sterling is my least favorite in the new line-up since so many have him. More likely to do Tadic than Mane though, if I went that route.

As an ADM owner , I actually won't be dissapointed to see him miss out . Gives more chance of a Terry CS for me and Boyd comes off the bench in a home match vs a dodgy defense who would have played a European away tie 3 days back

Really temped by Diame. He's playing more advanced than he used to and he's a big strong lad. Fixtures aren't incredible though.

Schneiderlin isn't much of an option imo. He had that good run but in the 8-0 game he only got 1 assist. I think he's back to playing more withdrawn.
