Of the midfielders for less than 7m Sadio Mané is by far the best pick imo, both looking at his stats and what I like in a player for FPL purposes, which is directness and some more factors nobody is interested in.
But behind Mané it gets trickier. I'd ideally like to bring in a sub 7m midfielder that I will have to play quite a bit, but I struggle do decide between Siggy, Downing, Chaldi etc.
Which one of the sub 7m midfielders who isn't Mané do you guys like the most, and why?-

Agreed on Mane. Brought him in instead of Tadic last week and was distraught. Feeling much better about him now 😀
Depending on injury news i'll most likely just keep Siggy. I don't see any as better value than him. -

The only issue with Mane is, is he better than Tadic/Pelle/Southampton defenders? Agree that he does look really good though.
I guess long term I still like Siggy (Although the fixtures/injury make him unappealing at the moment). Creative, on set pieces, and a good goal scoring record for club and country, even if his shot numbers are worrying so far this season.-
I don't think comparing him with defenders makes a lot of sense really. I can buy the coverage argument when it comes to say, three attackers from one team, but a Saints defender (they are tight at the back) and one or two attacking players should be fine really.

But which two attackers do you pick? Tadic and Pelle are still arguably better picks than Mane and if you also have a Southampton defender you CAN'T get Mane as well. Or if you've doubled up on the Southampton defense, you can only pick one attacker. So my point is: Mane is good, probably the best midfielder in the 7 million bracket, but is he one of the best 3 options on his own team?

What do people think of Barkley?
Considering Siggy -> Barkley.
While I think he has the talent, I generally have this theory that young upcoming players rarely get FPL returns (you have the odd player who total bursts onto the scene but most of them take a couple of seasons).
