I hoping that after Drogba's goal against United, Mourinho won't feel obliged to play Costa in what is arguably the easiest game of the season this week.

He will rest him. Defo. Drog more than capable of handling QPR.

Alternatively, he'll want Costa to get minutes v QPR so he's sharp v Liverpool? He can rest up over the international afterwards, Mourinho will want goals, points and wins in the next two games and Costa is the way to get them.

      - Costa owner

Against QPR that might be all he needs....

Would Spain let him rest up? They played him against Luxembourg... If he were to miss the QPR game it would make it easier for JM to argue he can't join up with Spain because he's still recovering from his injury.

I'd have thought that Mourinho's criticism of Spain over the last few weeks was to put pressure on them to be easier on Costa anyway?

Play him v QPR and Liverpool, then say "He's tired and still struggling, are you really going to injure my player again for no good reason"?

I don't think Mou wants to have to leave Costa out of games just so Spain won't play him either....

(sorry, repost) Any chance of Alcaraz keeping his place ahead of Distin for Everton? Could be a great option at 4.3m?

I dont see Alcaraz keeping his place now that Distin is back. Was surprised he even started against Burnley.

Should do. Great option till Stones returns. Distin's form seems to have dipped, rumours of him having a falling out with Martinez too. Alcaraz ahead of him in the pecking order and should continue to start.

Hm hadnt heard of the falling out rumours. If thats the case then he might actually keep his place until Stones returns. Alcaraz isnt playing because he has superior abilities than Distin, thats for sure. Walking disaster he is.

Im not talking about the bps/index kinda numbers, havent seen them. Im talking about his actual play. Every time ive seen him play he looks a single step away from disaster. Idk, i might be harsh on the guy, but i feel like hes one of the worst cb`s in the league. Doesnt mean he cant have a decent run over a couple of games.

Don't think I'm going to play the Costa gamble game anymore.

Costa & Sterling > Welbeck & Hazard (gives me Haz, Fab & Ivan)

Leaves 2.8m in bank so I could go Pelle or other.

Thing about dumping Siggy means you cant get him in again if you bought him early due to his massive price increase. And having a CAM that takes all set pieces (barring pens) for a team that revolves their play around said CAM is pretty useful.

If you were on a WC and short of funds, here's the rotation you could get from now to the end of January by playing one of Wisdom (4.2), Moore (4.0) or Yun (3.9) each week:

    WBA/NEW/SUN/LEI/WHM/BUR/AVL/WBA/TOT/CPL/SWA/AVL/STO/TOT

Not that those sides are up to much defensively, but fourteen decent home fixtures in a row is pretty decent.

I'd trust none of those to keep cleanies except maybe Wisdom every now and then (if he keeps his spot). Leicester and QPR are just awful defensively.

Def Wisdom because he plays on a much better team that can keep possession for longer periods of time. Moore will be interesting after January because I heard ManU is interested in him.

Hope is a great plan. It prevents people from buying Costa back making him more of a differential on FFS

Surely costa won't play against qpr, they should comfortably win without him. Jose will give him another week so he's 100% for Liverpool

If fit he will play, I have no doubt about that. It all depends on how well he trains though so it could all change by friday.

No FPLStatistics is just wrong, he's not on -100% on FFF yet. Been like that for the past 3 days on FPL Statistics but clearly they have something wrong with their fall algorithm.

Naismith .1 away from an epic round trip in price

      Ulloa to follow

loving my Clyne & Bertrand rising... they will fund buying Chelsea D nicely when their fixtures turn

See previous page. FPL Statistics algorithm must be wrong for fallers. Not near a drop yet on FFF hence they seem to be correct.

Something has changed in the math this week compared to last week. I don't think it is the flag as that didn't seem to affect his drop to 10.9. Somehow, FFF seem to know what has changed. Based on the math as it appeared last week with Costa, and earlier with some other players, Costa should have been well over the drop point now - as FPLStats have predicted.

FFF was predicting 19 fallers tonight and only five went, of which two were not predicted to fall (although to be fair FFF doesn't seem to list Graham at all).
