The ScoutCast – Episode 142 – Tight

There was just a wafer-thin point separating myself and Granville in Gameweek 11, despite my rivals decision to ignore the force of nature that is Alexis Sanchez.

In a svelte but packed episode of the ScoutCast, my co-host and I discuss the Chilean’s “essential” charms and pile praise on the reborn Stewart Downing and the new, reliable Leighton Baines v2.

Around the usual regulars, we drop in on some old favourites, as Aleks Kolarov discovers new methods of running Granville’s Gameweek and I somehow manufacture a way of snuggling under the Van Persie duvet. We also carry on nudging the Harry Kane-wagon, run our teams through the Gargatron computer and go on “Warnock Watch” once more.

Squeeze into this episode out via this link or sample its tautness via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        No, he's then rotating Sakho, Downing and Siggy, leaving points on the bench, while his back line collects 5 pts altogether.

      Szczesny
      Chambers - BFG - Monreal - Gibbs
      Flamini
      Cazorla/Chamberlain - Ramsey - Wilshere - Sanchez
      Welbeck

      I think Ramsey and Wilshere will both start however unsure if that will be in more of a 4231 or a 4141. Most likely a 4141 though. Ox scored midweek and Cazorla has been reasonably quiet recently so could go for more energy away to Swansea with the Ox

          You can't offload two underperforming players & expect to get the highest scoring player in the game to come back to you.

          You need to match heavy hitter for heavy hitter.

        Sorry... just read you have A)

        In Draft FPL the *scarcity* of strikers makes this deal impossible to do...

        I can find production on the waiver wire in midfield but, a starting striker who'll actually score, never.

    Check the Comparison Tool: Sanchez* v. Bale ca. '12...
    😯

    *In before Sanchez's sample size sucks.

        They're almost identical numbers...
        Obviously, Bale has more shots but, Sanchez creates more chances.

        Although, Sanchez has *only* scored vs. Lei, Sun, Hul & Bur in the league thus far so we need to temper our excitement.

        No, nothing to do with the captaincy.
        Just interesting to see how similar they are.

            Right!?

            Although, Bale didn't play Hull, Sun & Bur every three weeks either.

    Money back special if Liverpool and Chelsea draw. Great! If I bet money on Chelsea it's a win-win situation.

    How's it looking gents?

    Foster (Krul)
    Baines Bertrand Chambers (NTaylor Dummett)
    Sanchez Fabregas Chadli Downing (Marney)
    Aguero(c) Costa Pelle

    Feel that di Maria is the missing piece of the puzzle right now but i really can't see how to fit him in.

    Save a FT for the break?

      Save.
      You will struggle to fit in ADM with Baines, Sanchez, Fabs, Kun and Costa.

    Any of this lot injured/suspended?

    Begovic;
    Baines, Clyne, Chambers;
    Di María, Sánchez, Tadić, Sigurdsson;
    Agüero, Diego Costa, Berahino.

    Also, would you play Wisdom(NEW) over anyone?

      All fine. Wisdom seems a nailed on CS, IMO. Maybe over Chambers. Aguero captain?
