A day of eight Premier League encounters gets underway in the early kick-off at the Hawthorns. West Brom host Arsene Wenger’s men as they look to halt a slide of back-to-back defeats. Meanwhile, Arsenal arrive in the Midlands having also suffered consecutive setbacks and still smarting from the loss to United in their own backyard.

There’s little doubt that Fantasy managers will be looking to Alexis Sanchez in this one. With both Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa facing tricky away trips, the Sanchez option has crept up to second in our Captain poll and, clearly, there’s a swell of support for the Chilean in today’s encounter. As for West Brom, their Fantasy potential has been limited to the goal output of Saido Berahino – a supply that’s run dry for the last three matches. A hesitant Gunners back four may well be just the tonic to halt the 6.0 striker’s rapid decline in ownership.

A batch of six afternoon kick-offs follow on from this, before Chelsea make their trip to the Stadium of Light to take on Gus Poyet’s giant-killing Sunderland this evening.

    Arsenal have already tried about 4 or 5 high balls to 5ft 6 Sanchez. Unsurprisingly he's won none of them.

      I think you need to give Cazorla a free reign, he's creative and in behind the striker he can pull strings. His problem is that he can't give consistency in this position, he can go from 3 goals and an assist vs West Ham to nothing.

    Slightly pleased about my decision to (c) Costa over Sanchez, now that Giroud starts. We'll see what effect Giroud has on Sanchez but what's for certain that it takes a bit of goal scoring onus off Sanchez. Plus it adds a new goal scorer/pts getter into the equation and Arsenal can score only so many goals. We'll see 😉
