We place our faith in a couple of midweek goalscorers and Tottenham’s Danish maestro in this week’s attempt to get the better of Paddy.

First up, we pay visit to Villa Park, where the hosts entertain fellow strugglers Leicester. Paul Lambert’s side are now on a four-match unbeaten run, with just two goals conceded over that period, whilst talisman Christian Benteke is starting to find his form after firing the winner at Palace on Tuesday. Paddy are prepared to offer 25/1 on the Belgian to notch two or more goals and the hosts to earn a clean sheet, we’ll make this our bet of the week and shell out £4.

Our attentions turn to Anfield next as Liverpool go in search of a third consecutive win. Steven Gerrard was amongst the goals in Tuesday’s triumph at Leicester and with their confidence up, the Reds will fancy their chances of keeping out a Sunderland side with just two goals to their name in the last four. With Paddy preparing to offer 5/1 on a Gerrard goal and a Liverpool clean sheet, we hand over a further £3 for the Merseyside match.

The final bet is kept for an all-London clash at the Lane, as Spurs play host to Palace. After blanking at the Bridge on Wednesday evening, Christian Eriksen will be desperate to return to the form that saw him net in back-to-back matches prior to the midweek Chelsea showdown. Paddy are offering 11/2 on an Eriksen goal and Tottenham clean sheet and we’ll throw our final £3 their way for this one.

Repost from penultimate post on last post

From GW 16 on... would you rather Clichy or Kolarov? Who will get more starts... this is for my 4th defender in a 4-3-3 with solid bench so occasional rotation is not an issue, though 5 minute cameos at the end of games is.

Ideally neither. City look like poor value at the back. Rather United defender at the same price, who're looking better by the day.

    Baines, Azpilicueta, Chambers, Dummett, Yun
    Hazard, Sanchez, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Boyd
    Aguero, Austin, Bony

    REPOSTING FROM LAST PAGE END
so approaching half way through the season what are peoples' ambitions?
Mini league or overall or both?
Dish the dirt who are your competitors always on your mind?

I had a very poor start-my excuse is I was away most of aug +sept -so i'd be very happy to be in top 100k
But i'd love it,repeat love it if i could beat lisa legs(occassional poster here) in my mini league-she just in front due to a jammy jammy, roo(c) kun(vc) and boyd (first on bench)midweek
    \Bitter-sure i am

    So what's your target?

If I can get to at least 10k by Jan WC, I'll be happy considering my poor start 🙂 Last 2 times I was around the 10k during Jan, I managed a top 100 finish. But I'm not being overly optimistic again.

      2. Fitzy.
        • 14 Years

Was it a good WC that helped you to those finishes? Sounds like a stupid question actually, a poor WC wouldn't have let you get that high I suppose, but was that the main thing you think, or was it DGWs or something else?

        1. Elniñorules
          • Fantasy Football Scout Member
          • 14 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

Hehe It's a funny game as we know. Lot of luck involved more than anything else. But I'd say the other WC makes the big difference. More of a psychological boost than anything. Since I'm motivated to save my WC till the end, I find myself adopting a conservative approach and not being too reckless with my team (as I've been so far this season).

Then of course, using the WC for the DGWs is huge. Gives atleast 20-30 points push at the end.

Good luck in the cup this week guys. My opponent seems a spritely Norwegian chap with a few differentials to me. How are your match ups shaping up?

      -trust you are familiar?
hazard is priced at 20 mins to buy, bony at 23.
      Do i
      a)buy bony
      b)buy haz
      c)buy both
      d)buy neither

          wiser minds wouldn't bet !
its a higher risk/higher gain strategy where you punt on the total goal minutes scored by the player either above or below a number
-i think bony will score and when his goal minutes are added together then will be over 20-you bet per minute so if his goal minutes are 40 you win 20 (40_20) x your stake,if he does not score =minutes 0-you lose 20x your stake

It's funny seeing everybody waiting for the new page with the fear of their post getting lost at bottom of the page that no body posts when they have ample time! 2 back to back posts of Nola & ILF had 5 mins. difference in the last page! Bit unusual for Saturday! 😉

I'm sure those who are playing Baines are not expecting CS so Kun (C) has nothing to do with it.

Anyone actually selling Baines this week? I am tempted now, especially as still wounded from (c) 1 point in the week. QPR next week holding me back.

I would lose 0.2 if I sold and would want him back next week so not selling.

Samir Nasri anyone? 7 goals, 11 assists last season...playing around 2/3 of games. Feels he is just sparking back into life and pretty much played off Kun in the week (Dzeko return may force him wide but regardless his heatmap shows he always drifts in). Some very tasty fixtures.
