While Gameweek 15 is shaping up to be one to forget for many Fantasy managers, our analysis of the weekend’s statistics for members offers some insight to distract us, notably the growing influence of Yannick Bolasie and West Ham’s efforts to maximise the formidable weapon that is Andy Carroll.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ok lads....would you press WC button here?

    I've done (for -8)

    Aguero TO Costa
    Fabregas TO Hazard
    Austin TO Sakho

    Foster
    Baines Hutton Wisdom
    Sanchez Hazard Siggy Eriksen
    Rooney Costa Sakho

    Gilks Rose Marney Chambers

I could get out Rose (for Azpil) and Marney (for Boyd) and prob keep Chambers

    Yea or Nea??

      Shouldn't have sold Austin imo

Would sort it out with maybe another hit next week .

Selling Austin is a wrong move imo

I think him and Carol will be first choice starters for the next few games at least (based on his performance today - he was exceptional when he came on at half-time)...

Looks pretty good, although I'd never spend 6m on a keeper but maybe that's just me.

      1. Venom Snake
        11 years, 10 months ago

I'm with you on that one. Value everywhere in the position

        1. rickardinho
          11 years, 10 months ago

There is value, but over the course of 5-8 gw's I just don't see anyone who has the consistent enough fixtures to entice me other than Hart. Courtois is a good choice too but I will probably already have 3 Chelsea players

      2. rickardinho
        11 years, 10 months ago

Yeah I think 6m is absurd, but I've had 4 GK's in the last 8 days (Bego-Krul and Fab-Elliot) and am rather tired of rotating, with no clear good choice available apart from Hart who just happens to have the most delightful 5 fixtures one could ever hope for right now... lei CPL wba BUR SUN... With money itb its a no-brainer really.

        1. President John F. Keninnsie
          11 years, 10 months ago

I guess Aguero's injury means a lot of people have money lying around, so getting a more expensive keeper could work out in the short term. Go for it then 🙂

          1. rickardinho
            11 years, 10 months ago

        18, 17, 18

ManC clean sheets the last 3 seasons. Usually start slow and pick up pace, as last season, and this season (perhaps?).

        1. President John F. Keninnsie
          11 years, 10 months ago

I'm not against the decision of getting some City defensive cover, it's more to do with how Hart compares points-wise to alternative keepers.

          1. rickardinho
            11 years, 10 months ago

I agree with you, but we're very close to the Jan WC and I need the best possible GK that money can buy as I have money to burn after my impending Aguero sale, so Hart is an easy choice with his great fixtures.

          2. Heels_Over_Head
            11 years, 10 months ago

don't get me wrong... i've advocated for 8.5 on keepers pre-january... but as ManC rotate a lot at the back and generate a lot of CS, there's a case for Hart from the Jan WC forward if you want to get in on ManC's cleanies

whereas, I wouldn't touch Courtois when there's so little rotation at Chelsea alongside attacking threat

            1. rickardinho
              11 years, 10 months ago

Not sure I understand the rotation-breeds-CS's logic there... Usually its the stable back 4's that get CS's... like Everton, Arsenal, and Chelsea in the first half of last season, or Saints this season

    2. Heels_Over_Head
      11 years, 10 months ago

Fabianski to Hart, I like a lot. Hart is top of my plans for Jan WC and have considered jumping ahead.

Half the game owns Costa, big bet to not at this point with no Aguero on the scene.

Might ditch Kane here too for a -4 and bring in two from Bony/Benteke/Sakho

      1. rickardinho
        11 years, 10 months ago

Cheers, I think that's the way i will go, minus the Kane part. I think he's very good value and facilitates my rotation policy. If I have spare cash I might convince myself to upgrade him though, we'll see!

Not a bad shout that with Panti, though I'm not convinced by Sunderland tbh. They always get your hopes up by performing against the top sides and then come back to earth when they play teams of their own level...

Anyone here know why Sakho didn't get any bonus points this weekend? Even though he came on at half time - he scored and hit the post twice!

I kept him whilst he was injured (truthfully had more pressing issues), but after watching the game I'm glad I did. Him and Carol look likely to be starting strikers for the next few games at least...

    1. President John F. Keninnsie
      11 years, 10 months ago

Hitting the post = shot off target.

Downing is a BPS magnet too.

So an eight pointer, taken now (and quickly, like all bitter medicine should be taken) gets me here:

    Guzan/Elliott
    Wisdom/Hutton/Naylor/Dummett/Kolo

Any price rises by Bony or Yaya and it falls apart.

Don't have enough money for him anyway, but Evans is on a personal "never purchase" list. Couldn't stand to be rooting for him after he ruined Stuart Holden's career... (yes, that is a long-held grudge, but it is what it is)

    http://www.90min.com/posts/1629289-the-5-premier-league-managers-most-likely-to-be-sacked

Check out this article I wrote last night on the next Premier League manager to be sacked...

Its wrong! Lambert should be top!

      1. Heels_Over_Head

yes, Roy Keane's beard needs more television time

    2. Heels_Over_Head

      none of them deserve it

      Levy does

      1. rickardinho

        THIS.

Most mismanaged club in the country

        +1 on Levy

    3. mookie

      Bruce 1st imo

    Team is

    Krul/Foster
    Mcshane/Yun/Dummett/Chambers/Taylor
    Hazard/Sanchez/Siggy/Boyd/Downing
    Aguero/Costa/Austin

So with Aguero and Krul injured, Chambers and Austin suspended and Mcshane not being selected it leaves me quite short this week. I've got 3.1M in the bank but only the one transfer. Who should go first?!

    1. Randy_Marsh
      11 years, 10 months ago

      Kun

Then beef up one of the defenders

    2. TigerGaz
      11 years, 10 months ago

Kun to Dzeko and Mcshane to Azpi for -4 makes sense.

Although with Chelsea getting beat and it coming up to christmas Azpi's game time worries me with Felipe on the bench....

  20. Randy_Marsh
    11 years, 10 months ago

When is Kun dropping, tomorrow morning yeah?

    1. Redhulkster
      11 years, 10 months ago

      Yep likely

  21. dropkicks
    11 years, 10 months ago

    Guzan Gilks
    Azpi Cresswell CHAMBERS Naylor Hutton
    Oscar Erkisen BARKLEY Siggy Downing
    AGUERO Costa Rooney

Only 1FT. Want to get rid of those 3 and have my WC still to be played... Thinking to activate it to sort my team out a bit. Or just take a (-4) and keep Barkley for now?

    1. Heels_Over_Head
      11 years, 10 months ago

-4 & keep Barkely for QPR

    2. Sebbo29
      11 years, 10 months ago

u don't even need a hit, just take care of Kun and bench Chambers, then sort out Barkley after QPR. Arsenal also have QPR at home soon so I would keep Chambers for now (will have to monitor his game time though after Debu returns)

  22. Kerrazy

    Kun>Rooney surely?

With all this spare cash floating about after aguero sale, are any of you upgrading Boyd and going with a benching dilemma?

I am thinking of a situation in which I'd need to bench one of Austin, Sig, Downing, Sakho every week. I guess with fixture congestion that first sub could be very valuable anyway.

Why go heavy when you can have Caulker-Hutton-Wisdom rotating? Combined they got 20 points this GW!

        1. President John F. Keninnsie
          11 years, 10 months ago

Same reason you're getting Hart! Money to burn... 🙂

          1. rickardinho
            11 years, 10 months ago

There's a key difference though: Hart will probably (based on statistics) score better than any other options in defense in the next few weeks, but that can't be said about whoever it is you plan to bring in to be your 3rd defender instead of the aforementioned trio rotating, so that would be a waste of money 😉

Already did that last week my TV is higher than many..

I can field 11 without a hit, but the issue is my 3 subs will be suspended.

I don't really want to sell them either so will be risky.

            1. Redhulkster
              11 years, 10 months ago

              M only selling chambers

If all the players u have are starters then I m sure u could go ahead and calmly not take a hit.

This gw could pay well for all of us with a dependable bench

    Pick one move -

    A) Chadli, Aguero > Yaya, Dzeko/Jovetic/£8.7 striker for -4

    B) Chadli, Aguero > Oscar, Rooney for -4

    C) Boyd, Aguero > Yaya, £6.8 striker for -4

    D) Aguero > Anyone I want

    Foster
    NTaylor | Cresswell | Clyne | Baines
    Hazard | Sanchez | Sigurdsson | Chadli
    Bony | Aguero
    Green | O'Shea | Austin | Albrighton

    2 FT & 0.0 ITB

    Aguero + Chadli >> Rooney + Nasri

    Yay or Nay?

    A. Aguero, Henderson, Chambers > Bony/Dzeko/Jovetic/Giroud/Benteke/Lambert, Yaya, Naylor -4
    B. Aguero, Henderson, Chambers > Rooney/Falcao, Eriksen/Oscar/Ramsey, Naylor -4
