        #casual

in reality, the fewest number of minutes played in this sample is 776 minutes, which equates to over 8 games..and that gets to the point where the sample size is reasonable enough to establish trends/consistency..yes people will go in and out of periods of form but it's a far better assessment than points per game

That last sentence is absolute bollocks imo. What use is pp90 if a player never gets 90 mins?

PPG takes into account non nailed-on-ness far better than pp90 ever could.

Of course it's helpful but when a large % of your posts only talk about a certain injured footballer being a good option then it starts losing its point

Chadli must carry a rabbits foot in his pocket when he plays having plucked some white heather and found a four leaf clover on the way to the ground!

He's fecking awful in every other aspect of the game apart from putting the ball in the net 😆

If you look at how he got those points though, it is unsustainable.

A goal from a cross, 3 assists from scuffed shots, and 2 or 3 'nothing' passes that someone else has knocked in, one being a deflected Mata shot.

Overall, his performance has been very poor since the opening 2 or 3 games.

yes and the rest of the team's has been worse. now they are picking up and he should benefit from that just as much as anyone else on the pitch..

They are not picking up though, statistically they ha their worst game since OPTA started publishing stats 11 years ago last week. They may have won but they were God awful.

        2. Wilshere Knowledge

I don't think the results tell the story.

Man U played well against Hull, but they have probably been worse than ever in 4 out of the last 5 games. The performance against Southampton was probably the worst I've seen a Man U side ever play.

Even if we have conflicting views on this, I think the biggest problem is buying a player who has done his hammy twice this season already for a very congested period.

That's one way to look at it, because undoubtedly ADM had a good start to the season aka Ivanovic. And then when you look at his PPG in the last 5 games prior to his injury it is at a cool 4.2 PPG, lower than the majority of players you just listed at almost double their prices.

      😯 Blimey!

Mata in deep midfield with those full backs? LvG must be confident in Liverpool's impotence.

          🙁

So sad, you guys were great to watch last year..

Jackson Martinez being heavily linked for a January move though, so that would be great if that went through. (Although you went get good value off Porto! 😆 )

Or more like trying not to give him his 15 appearances or they'll be obliged to sign him.

Awful gw for me. Took -8pt hit To get yaya and o'shea in for cork and chambers.
40 pts so far with baines, siggy and bony to Go.. Dropped 1000 places to 1400..

Not having hazard is hurting me. Could do fab and bony to haz and sakho. That would meän another hit. Or should i wait to do it for free later and hope that haz would blank against stoke?

Seems like a good chance that he will blank against Stoke - all his points hauls have been at home so far...

Tough luck. I got Azpi and Dzeko, so you did better than some 😉
See how Bony does today, I like Fab-> Haz but not Bony-> Sakho

Guys, what would you do with this lot?

    Guzan
    Baines, Dummett, Naylor
    Downing, Sanchez, Siggy, Hazard
    Bony, Costa, Rooney

    subs: Gilks, Chester, Cattermole, Hutton --- 2 FT's --- 1.5 ITB

    A) Baines and Chester -> Ivanovic and Demichelis
    B) Cattermole -> Boyd and save FT
    C) Chester -> Demichelis and save FT
    D) Baines -> Ivan and save

Having a feeling that can't really improve midfield or frontline sensibly so thinking to use freebies and cash to upgrade defence. Thoughts?

how you have 2FTs after last week i will never know, however C

With all of their strikers out, is there any City player people are confident to captain this week and for their coming run? Silva? Yaya? ...Lampard?!

    1. Patty

considering yaya, either him, Austin or Bony

This is how I'm feeling...Hazard on MNF is very tempting, even away from home.

Yeah I'm thinking him. Will probably out wilson out there as well just to minimise damage in case chelsea fail

Someones saying Jovetic is out for 3-4 weeks, is that true, does anyone have a sorce?
Cant find anything about it online, and FPL says 75% chance he will play....

We don't know tbh. Jovetic has been doing this for years now. He is constantly an injury worry. He will pull out injured with even the most minor of ailments.

Sensible by LVG. Utd's attack was way too isolated against Soton - Rooney in the hole will go a long way towards fixing that.

Yes, if you've nothing else pressing. I've Hart, but would prefer Demi in for baps.

Nothing benteke could do really with 10 men. Had a chance through a corner but that's just about it

Austin (c) is screaming out to me but something is stopping me, he's on pens, nailed on, just had a rest, his last six home games he's scored 2, 5 ,13, 7, 10 and 6. QPR at home have had the second most attempts this season and scored on average just under two a game. Can anybody make a case as to why I shouldn't?

Reckon this a good move? Chambers -> Demi

    Fabianski
    Baines Azpi Demi
    Hazard Sanchez Eriksen Downing
    Costa Bony Austin

    Clyne Boyd Duff

Have a Berahino, Austin & Bojan (14.5m) strikeforce at present for the fun, 0.3m in bank. Should I get in Kane for Bera?

I was toying with the idea of Mirallas to Downing and keeping Chambers but surely given Downing's fixtures the wise thing to do would be just to ditch Chambers and get Stewie D in after the Arsenal game, correct?
