In light of Sergio Aguero’s knee injury, we delve into the data to highlight a number of forwards’ weekend displays. Wilfried Bony and Robin van Persie’s fine form arrives under the spotlight, whilst we also assess Diego Costa’s recent toils for Chelsea. The Gunners’ weekend scorers and Tottenham’s in-form Dane are also amongst this evening’s topics as Fantasy managers look to spend that left over budget from the Aguero fall-out.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Sakho Austin or yaya (c)?

Assuming Komps is out until the New Year (as Pellegrini suggested, and I know Rick will say 'It could be earlier' :P), Demi and Mangala will start all of the games at centre back, right? (assuming they both avoid injuries and suspensions).

Sagna has never played as CB under Pellegrini & as per City fans he won't play that role again. Boyata is a CB & last time deputised when both Kompany & Mangala were out.

Don't think Pelle will rest one of them to play Sagna. He only played CB in Arsenal when they were ravaged by injuries.
Boyata is a different case imo. He might get to play in some easy home game.

If it was anything other than the Christmas schedule, you'd say yes. I've looked at Zab in the hope he's had his rest. But maybe he had a niggle of an injury.

Yep. The safest option is to get a CB. The full backs will be rotated Zab/Sagna + Kolarov/Clichy. Demi is the best option as Mangala has 4yellows. Boyata will only be used if absolutely needed.

    Ben Davies:
    1. Looking at Spurs fixtures, 4 plum fixtures in next 6, 4th on fixture difficulty.

    2. He has started and played 90min last 5, just had an assist, and looks nailed. From Spurs forum
    http://www.spurs.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=39238&start=127

    3. He's ahead of Neil Taylor(who's already a good buy) at Swansea and country yet cost less. At arguably a better club too.

Recent lack of form & Mirallas stealing the thunder
I'm in no shape to be getting rid right now, but I can see where people are coming from if they had late on. Plus, the recent rude awakening for Kun, coinciding with great fixtures for City's defense & Chelsea's.

I'm still keen on holding since he's averaged 5.9ppg since I've owned him Gw5, so I'm a bit biased 🙁

    2 FT, 1.9 ITB.

    Any idea what to improve?

    Foster/Schmeichel
    Clichy, Azpilicueta, Wisdom
    Eriksen, Sánchez, Downing, Hazard
    Austin, Bony, Diego Costa
    (Sigurdsson, Chambers, Dummett)

      Schmec to Hart?

Nice pick. Never crossed my mind before.

Was thinking about Costa > Rooney

        or Dummet > Cresswell

People on here split on Costa, personally im keeping. Dummet to Creswell is good. Hart just gives you (hopefully!) guaranteed Man C defense and doubling on them to Jan WC could well work out

Rooney's record against Villa is sensational tho.

But now I'm really tempted to do Schmec > Hart.

            Cheers.

Is Wally likely to see any game time in this next 2-3 gameweeks? I'm holding onto him in my draft league squad but there seems very little point.

Doubt it, but if you drop him, he'll be picked up.

    Pantilimon
    Taylor, Baines, Dummett (Clyne, Wisdom)
    Fabregas, Sanchez, Jedinak, Downing (wanyama)
    Costa Austin Rooney

Can I manage without a trade this gameweek? Not very happy with Jedinak, but funds allow me to get Siggy as best, and Im not really relying on him right now.
Want to get into City defence, but finding it tricky to find the defender of choice to trade for probably Clyne. Would you suggest a trade?

Clichy for me. The price difference mitigates the possibility of rest and he's served me well so far

zaba. never subbed on or off so you avoid stupid 1 pointers, unlike clichy or kolarov

Clichy was subbed off once this season in the 77th min. He play's 90 or not at all.

thats because kolarov was injured 😉 it'll change. kolarov is always subbed on if city need a late goal

As long as he is subbed off after 60 minutes have passed - I'm happy.

I think he'll play all of them but there is a very small concern as Burnley game is played just over 48 hours after the match against Westbrom.

This is the time of the season when the you can't underestimate the value of the bench
That said, I'm stubborn so I have...
the Dean of Marney (3 points!) & Dummet (goose egg) coming on for me Sunday 😎

Can anyone beat my bench in 2v2?
